SUMMARY:Don Juan
DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto performs in Winterthur Don Juan\, the full evening production by Johan Inger. \nThe choreography comes from Inger’s desire to confront Don Juan\, a paradigmatic myth that is both ancient and still contemporary. The original comedy by Tirso de Molina\, Molière\, Bertold Brecht and the play by Suzanne Lilar are just some of the sources of inspiration: Inger and playwright Gregor Acuña-Pohl consulted twenty-five different texts inspired by the character. \nIn the creation\, we find all the characters of the story\, from Donna Elvira to Donna Anna to Zerlina and Masetto. Don Juan can be considered a Kammerspiel\, with its ability to emphasise nuances and emotions: and in the case of this creation\, dance becomes a magnifying glass for the individual characters\, subtly but clearly revealing the inner world of the men and women on stage. \n\n

SUMMARY:MicroDanze VR
DESCRIPTION:From 27 to 30 January\, in the frame of Expo Dubai 2020\, the Fondazione Nazionale della Danza/Aterballetto presents Virtual Dance for Real People\, a new form of immersive dance project promoting 3 MicroDances co-produced with the Fondazione Palazzo Magnani in Reggio Emilia. Virtual Dance for Real People is a provocation\, an experiment that combines dance and technology through the use of VR and 360° video. The performances\, presented through oculus (Shelter by Saul Daniele Ardillo\, Kepler and Meridiana by Diego Tortelli)\, nevertheless defend the special relationship with the spectator: technology is not an object but the language of a new work\, of a digital but never abstract dance. \nEvent promoted and supported by the Emilia-Romagna Region. \n\n\nShelter \nchor. SUMMARY:Don Juan
DESCRIPTION:At the Opéra de Massy\, on 31 March and 1 April\, Aterballetto dances Don Juan\, the full evening production by Johan Inger. \nIn the creation we find all the characters of the story\, from Donna Elvira to Donna Anna to Zerlina and Masetto. Don Juan can be considered a Kammerspiel\, with its ability to emphasise nuances and emotions: and in the case of this creation\, dance becomes a magnifying glass for the individual characters\, subtly but clearly revealing the inner world of the men and women on stage. \n

SUMMARY:YELED / SHOOT ME
DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto premieres two new productions in its hometown Reggio Emilia.\nYELED and SHOOT ME\, by the two young choreographers Eyal Dadon and Diego Tortelli\, will make their debut at the Teatro Municipale Romolo Valli on 27 April 2022. \nYELED\, the Hebrew word for “kid”\, brings to the stage the thoughts that the Israeli choreographer Eyal Dadon has developed\, together with the dancers of Aterballetto\, about that moment in our lives when we lose childhood innocence.\nSHOOT ME\, by our resident choreographer Diego Tortelli\, is instead a work that wants to create a direct dialogue between the dancers on stage and the audience in the auditorium: a game of seduction\, of looks\, of sweat\, an assault on the senses and an ode to the body\, to breathing the same air\, sweat\, tears\, fury\, pride.

SUMMARY:Don Juan
DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto performs in Modena Don Juan\, the full evening production by Johan Inger. \n

SUMMARY:Another Story
DESCRIPTION:Another Story\, the duet by Diego Tortelli\, is at Scandicci\, near Florence\, for the festival Nutida. \nAnother Storytells the new story of the most feared and at the same time desired gesture of 2020: the hug. A gesture as simple as a hug has been transformed into the most hidden desire and at the opposite into an almost “terrorist” act\, without losing its deep meaning of carnal sharing. Another Story becomes a solitary\, shared\, violent\, painful\, tiring and also desired\, hidden\, intimate embrace. What choreographer Diego Tortelli intends to do is to write another story to be mutually felt and observed by performer and spectator.

SUMMARY:SHOOT ME - BLISS
DESCRIPTION:At the 33rd edition of the Florence Dance Festival Aterballetto dances SHOOT ME\, the latest choreography by Diego Tortelli\, for the first time on stage since its debut in April 2022. On the strong rhythms of the English rock group Spiritualized\, mixed with poems recited by Jim Morrison\, the 16 dancers with glittery hair create on stage a dizzying game of seduction\, glances and complicity with the audience. \nBLISS is one of the company’s hits\, created by award-winning Swedish choreographer Johan Inger. The choreography\, accompanied by the notes of Keith Jarrett’s famous and iconic Köln Concert\, is a true hymn to the joy of dancing. The euphoria of the performers is a pleasure to behold\, so captivating and powerful that it is still charming theatres all over the world since 2016. \n  \n\n\n
