DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto dances at the prestigious Athens and Epidaurus Festival. \nWolf/BLISS is the perfect evening to admire the versatility of the 16 dancers of Aterballetto\, the only Italian company to have in its repertoire two of the most intense and acclaimed choreographers on the international scene. \nIn Wolf by Hofesh Shechter we find a sort of wild animality\, which sometimes crosses men and sometimes women. Dragged into a mysterious and engaging universe\, we are invested with a wave of energy that expresses the strength of a dancing tribe. \n\n  \nFrom the foggy atmospheres of Wolf we pass to the light of BLISS\, a masterpiece by Johan Inger to the notes of Keith Jarrett’s Koln Concert. \nBLISS is a dance that emanates happiness and above all life. A joy for the performers\, who surrender to the music without any resistance\, and for the public\, who can admire the maturity and skill of each dancer. \n  \n\n  \nThe Wolf/BLISS evening is part of Tempo Forte\, an important cultural collaboration between Italy and Greece\, created with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute in Athens\, the Italian Embassy in Athens and the MiBAC – General Direction of the Performing Arts. \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto dances at the Festival Ljubljana Bach Project. \nBach Project proposes an important step in the exploration of the relationship between dance and music\, between classical composition and its contemporary recreation. \nOn stage Sarabande\, a masterpiece by Jiří Kylián\, and Domus Aurea by Diego Tortelli\, promise of Italian choreography that\, on the French Suites by Bach transcribed by Giorgio Colombo Taccani and played live by the Ensemble Sentieri selvaggi\, has created a dreamlike architecture of movement\, involving the visual artist Massimo Uberti. \nBach Project thus allows us to affirm – around a musical dimension – an intergenerational\, open and curious vision of choreographic creation. \nThis production avails itself of the partnership of Torinodanza Festival/Teatro Stabile di Torino – Teatro Nazionale\, Les Halles de Schaerbeek di Bruxelles\, Festival MiTo\, MILANoLTRE Festival and of the collaboration of Teatri di tradizione dell’Emilia-Romagna. \n

DESCRIPTION:The Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto closes its 2018-2019 season in the renovated Chiostri di San Pietro in Reggio Emilia. \nAbiectio by Damiano Artale is an engaging duet on the notes of the Passion of Bach and the Requiem Pies Jesus by Fauré. Followed by “O” by Philippe Kratz\, choreography from the unstoppable rhythm awarded at the prestigious competition in Hanover 2018. BLISS\, a masterpiece by Johan Inger to the notes of Keith Jarrett’s Koln Concert\, is a dance that emanates happiness and above all life. A joy for the performers\, who surrender to the music without any resistance\, and for the public\, who can admire the maturity and skill of each dancer. \n  \n \n  \nAbiectio \nWhen violence bathes the soul of a human being\, we celebrate the failure of communication\, also the funeral of education. Frightened and disoriented\, an injured individual looks at himself in the mirror with degrading mortification and responds to the outside world by attacking. As in the summer of 2017 in Hong Kong for the very first time two humanoid robots vocally interacted with one another it became clear to anyone watching that a future\, in which accumulated human knowledge is passed on by communicating inorganic material\, is within reach. Therefore “O” can be seen as two human beings or two robots celebrating in a state of transcendence and emotional fulfilment\, both moving to the never-ending beat of their unstoppable hearts.\nAnd as the spaceship computer Hal in Stanley Kubrick’s movie ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ puts it: “I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently\, but I can give you my complete assurance that my work will be back to normal.
