SUMMARY:Don Juan
DESCRIPTION:At the Opéra de Massy\, on 31 March and 1 April\, Aterballetto dances Don Juan\, the full evening production by Johan Inger. \nThe choreography comes from Inger’s desire to confront Don Juan\, a paradigmatic myth that is both ancient and still contemporary. The original comedy by Tirso de Molina\, Molière\, Bertold Brecht and the play by Suzanne Lilar are just some of the sources of inspiration: Inger and playwright Gregor Acuña-Pohl consulted twenty-five different texts inspired by the character. \nIn the creation we find all the characters of the story\, from Donna Elvira to Donna Anna to Zerlina and Masetto. Don Juan can be considered a Kammerspiel\, with its ability to emphasise nuances and emotions: and in the case of this creation\, dance becomes a magnifying glass for the individual characters\, subtly but clearly revealing the inner world of the men and women on stage. \n

A tribute to a special place in his hometown\, somehow linked to the idea of a memory that starts from childhood. An important sign of artistic vitality born from the collaboration between two of the major Italian cultural institutions\, Brescia Musei and the Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto. \nCREDITS \nChoreography and concept: Diego Tortelli\nMusic: Daniela Savoldi\nCello: Daniela Savoldi\nSound design: Federico Bigonzetti\nCostumes: Diego Tortelli in collaboration with Nuvia Valestri\nDancers: Fabio Calvisi\, Marta Castelletta\, Cristian Cucco\, Vittoria Franchina\, Giovanni Leone\, Vanessa Loi \nPromoted by Comune di Brescia and Fondazione Brescia Musei\nProduction: Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto\nProduction collaboration: Fondazione I Teatri Reggio Emilia\nIn collaboration with Centro Teatrale Bresciano \nSTANZE ROOMS \nStanze \ Rooms is a site-specific itinerant performance. Diego Tortelli starts from the suggestions of the new setting up of the rooms of the Pinacoteca and imagines a choreographic and musical path\, where history and innovation meet. For the choreographer\, the museum is where we keep our memories\, and it is to this special place that he wants to entrust all those duets and solos that have never been performed\, but which have been a fundamental part of his research. Small choreographic collections that had ended up in a drawer and now come back to life with a new value and a different maturity\, surrounded by the works of art and the wonderful places of the Pinacoteca. \nThe spectators will enter into an exciting close relationship with the dancers\, accompanied by Daniela Savoldi‘s cello\, and will experience in a special way the significant collection of Brescian and Italian paintings\, reorganised through a new exhibition pathway ranging from the late Gothic to the early 19th century. \nINFO AND TICKETS \nPerformance times: \n\nh 16.30\nh 18.00\nh 19.30\nh 21.00\n\nDuration of each performance: \n30′ \nTickets: \nTickets are on sale at the Teatro Sociale box office\, every day\, Tuesday to Saturday from 4pm to 9pm\, at the Centro Teatrale Bresciano point of sale\, in Piazza della Loggia 6\, Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 1pm\, or online at ctb.vivaticket.it.\nTickets cost 15 euros.

SUMMARY:YELED / SHOOT ME
DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto premieres two new productions in its hometown Reggio Emilia.\nYELED and SHOOT ME\, by the two young choreographers Eyal Dadon and Diego Tortelli\, will make their debut at the Teatro Municipale Romolo Valli on 27 April 2022. \nYELED\, the Hebrew word for “kid”\, brings to the stage the thoughts that the Israeli choreographer Eyal Dadon has developed\, together with the dancers of Aterballetto\, about that moment in our lives when we lose childhood innocence.\nSHOOT ME\, by our resident choreographer Diego Tortelli\, is instead a work that wants to create a direct dialogue between the dancers on stage and the audience in the auditorium: a game of seduction\, of looks\, of sweat\, an assault on the senses and an ode to the body\, to breathing the same air\, sweat\, tears\, fury\, pride.
