The choreography deals with various problems of the individual in contemporary society. The virtual reality\, which the world pushes us to seek and create\, contrasts with the loneliness present in everyday life. The problem of one’s identity outside of the digital self-presentation\, the desire for “real” encounters and connections\, as well as the omnipresence of fears and their influence on our actions\, form the foundations of this piece. \nIvan Alboresi shows restless protagonists who are constantly searching for themselves\, for support\, for security. But at the same time the fear of connecting with the other\, of losing control or being rejected. He contrasts this restlessness with moments of almost catatonic torpor. DESCRIPTION:OPEN REHEARSAL\nTribute to Dante Alighieri\, is a scenic polyphony between body\, Dante’s verses and sound environments.\nThe originality of the creative approach lies both in the cross-media staging and in the production format. The project is in fact conceived to be modular and modulable: each solo is composed of several interchangeable scenic elements\, which relate dynamically to the structure that houses them.\nThe 3 “actors” of the scenic polyphony imagined by Monica Casadei are the performers for the choreography of the chosen Dantean Ombra\, the voice off of an actor/actress\, the sound carpet/atmosphere composed by a sound designer who elaborates a Dantean sound from Verdi’s Requiem. \nCREDITS \nChoreography\, direction Monica Casadei\nMusic by Luca Vianini\nVoice actor Agostino Rocca\nDirection Alessandro Ceci\nProduction Compagnia Artemis Danza\nIn collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institutes of Jakarta\, Lima\, Mumbai\, Prague\, Tunisi \nCOMPAGNIA ARTEMIS DANZA \nOriginally from Ferrara\, Monica Casadei graduates in philosophy cum laude writing a dissertation on dance in Plato’s system. After a career as a professional acrobatic gymnast\, she takes to studying classic and modern dance\, at first in Italy\, then in London\, and eventually in Paris where she gets to meet choreographers Pierre Doussaint and Isabelle Doubouloz and the Master André Cognard Hanshi So shihan\, with whom she still practices the martial art of Aikido. \nIn France\, she founds the company Artemis Danza\, with which she later moves to Italy\, in 1997\, giving birth to a fervent production activity that amounts\, nowadays\, to over 40 original creations. \nFrom 1998 to 2007\, the Company is part of an artist residency at Fondazione Teatro Due in Parma whereas\, from 2014 up to this day\, it partakes in an artist residency at Teatro Comunale in Bologna.
