Dancing is the middle ground where couple dancing opens up to rhythmic contaminations\, cultures\, forms and figures from other parts of the world. In common with the balera are the rules and\, above all\, the powerful voice of popular extraction\, while the strain toward disco reveals a world that is broadening and opening itself to encounter and experimentation\, looking at the foreigner with a fascinated and curious manner\, imitating his movements\, and ready to exchange its own. \nCompagnia Sanpapié – Dancing Bruno – ph. A practice\, physical and otherwise\, that was immediately sensitive to a vocation I felt in me primary: yearning for the moment of encounter\, of the “moving” of making theater. \n \nAnd in doing so\, I could not disregard a strongly personal marker: persona\, that is\, literally “the mask of a character (actor)\,” which I have tried\, and I still do not know if vainly\, to peel off my face. Nothing has to start from an idea\, but from an internal impulse: in this way the body does not drag behind a stereotyped gesturality\, and the choreographic dynamics are built free of all patterns\, so that the man can be lifted up by the woman\, if the inner need of the couple on stage requires it\, reversing (or following) the canons without preconceived barriers. \n\nThe succession of tension and apparent calm involves every aspect of the staging. The lights rest on the performers like spots that suddenly appear and\, just as suddenly\, vanish\, conveying the anxiety and agony felt by the play’s protagonists. The atmosphere of unease tends to be amplified by an eternal return to choreographic stillness\, stillness that is\, however\, constantly challenged\, not only by the progression of light and darkness\, but also by the scenographic dynamics that\, by evoking those places that seem suspended between the earthly and the otherworldly like the monolithic complex of Stonehenge\, increases the sense of uncertainty and inner disequilibrium. DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto dances Storie at its own Fonderia. \n\nStorie is a small anthology of danced fragments. They are only an infinitesimal part of the very rich artistic and human universe of the two choreographers Diego Tortelli and Philippe Kratz. \nTortelli creates two pieces: Preludio\, opening the bill\, is a love letter to the body for five dancers on Nick Cave music\, Another story is a duo about the impossible gesture of 2020\, the hug. \nBetween past and future the two creations by Kratz. The duo “O” offers us two human bodies / robots that force us to question ourselves on how the sense of physical contact might change: will it remain emotional and heartfelt\, or will it become serial and alienated?\nAlpha Grace\, a creation for six dancers at the end of the bill\, is a reflection on empathy\, a form of gentle communication among people who feel on the same level. It too is severely stretched by the present times. \n  \n\n

A considerable achievement for the training course supported by the MM Contemporary Dance Company\, which is enriched by such a prestigious collaboration as Sasha Waltz & Guest\, bringing Agora fully into a wide-ranging European training context. “In C”\, which the Fondazione I Teatri will host at the Teatro Valli in a few months\, danced by Sasha Waltz’s company\, is one of the German choreographer’s latest works. Losers in a superficial relationship face each other in an icy duel; at stake is the affirmation of a role\, an identity\, a social position\, survival. There are no rules\, everything is allowed: we lend ourselves to be prey\, designated victims of the other\, we are aware of it\, we are just waiting for it to happen\, and in turn we are ready to pounce\, offend\, cleave\, crush\, tear\, to mercilessly finish him off\, but without getting our hands dirty. \nA perverse aristocratic game of double-crossing\, of abuse; a hidden\, unspoken\, pastel-coloured violence that leads irretrievably to slaughter\, to extinction; there will be no winners\, only losers. Of all the fussing\, nothing happens…. And so we implode\, unable to get back up\, we abandon ourselves but being careful not to ruin our hairdo\, smudge our make-up\, crease our suits\, not to lose dignity lest we suffer acts of cannibalism\, be devoured by others\, by our emptiness\, by the deaf silence. An attempt to physically recount the evil of living\, the Beckettian paralysis: a man deluded\, desperate to the point of becoming insensitive\, now unable to take charge of his life and remove it from the misery in which he has become mired. The choreography represents on stage the inner dissension present in each of us. \nWelcome to my funeral is the production by Brandon Lagaert\, an artist who has been collaborating for years with the internationally renowned dance theatre company Peeping Tom. Since there will be no war between the two\, one will be able to listen to the deeper voice of one’s own consciousness. Two great forces within us co-exist and if we regard them with equal respect\, they will both be victorious and coexist in peace. \nA man who achieves inner peace has everything. A man who is torn apart by the war that is fought within him is nothing. The virtual world is becoming more and more realistic thanks to haptic feedback\, artificial intelligence\, and algorithms that acquire information from people through their input. \nOlder generations claim to have grown up in a Jurassic era\, although even they would struggle without technology as simple as electricity. \nHow do you use technology to feed your ego?\nHow does one use technology to create unique bonds with others or manipulate strangers? \nEQUILIBRIO DINAMICO \nEquilibrio Dinamico\, founded in 2011 by its current artistic director Roberta Ferrara and now based in Bari\, has placed itself in the spotlight for being unique on the Italian dance scene.\nRight from the start\, in fact\, Roberta Ferrara aimed to build a contemporary repertoire company with an international scope by calling upon several choreographers to create world premieres. Jiří Pokorný\, Igor Kirov\, Matthias Kass & Clément Bugnon\, Marco Blázquez\, Riccardo Buscarini\, and Aida Vainieri are just a few of the signatures that have followed to compose the cahier de danse. \nIn addition to celebrating its tenth anniversary\, in 2021 Equilibrio Dinamico Dance Company was recognised by the Ministry of Culture as a Production Body for Under35 Dance\, the only organisation in the Region of Puglia\, and in May 2022 it will be presented in the context of the NID-New Italian Dance Platform in Salerno\, the platform that brings together the best of Italian dance to be exported abroad. \nEquilibrio Dinamico is annually programmed in seasons and festivals in Europe\, America and Asia.
