SUMMARY:Concerto Fisico
DESCRIPTION:Concerto Fisico è una partitura fisica e vocale che ripercorre e ridisegna la storia di Balletto Civile\, la storia della  compagnia nata all’interno dell’ex Ospedale Psichiatrico di Udine. \nCANCELLED PERFORMANCE\nCredits \nConcept and choreography Michela Lucenti\nCreated and performed by Michela Lucenti\nAssistant to the creation Maurizio Camilli\nLive sound design Tiziano Scali and Maurizio Camilli\nProduction Balletto Civile and Festival Resistere e Creare\nWith the support of UFO – UNIDENTIFIED ART RESIDENCES and MIBACT \nTo know you alive is to feel the planet crumble beneath you\, to soar kicking try to throw yourself off while you cling to the edge\, is to ride the planet like a log in the direction of the current\, screaming.\nAnne Dillard \nInsights \nI always sang in shows even when my dancing was furious. The body\, my gestures are the map of what I feel and singing is my vehicle to keep me alive. \nConcerto Fisico is a composition for physical and vocal instrument\, a twisted and crooked greatest hits that has nothing nostalgic to tell the story of a group through the stories it has become a vehicle. A juke-box that awakens the emotional accents of a memory that is still the present\, of how we transformed ourselves\, of the sand from which we emerged\, of the Creatures\, of the wooden horses built for Troy\, of the fire extinguishers thrown in the dark\, of the sea of milk where Woyzeck and Andres talk about the void\, of Desdemona’s desperate scream\, of what happened to Thebes\, of the Resistance\, of the struggle and of the Revolution\, of how in the end the Evil Lambs are all of us\, of the mirrored floor and an orange rope\, of the power and heavy coats of 1918\, of stuffed foxes and sexual seasons\, of death and a Brazilian with a green plume\, of a small white dog\, of taboos\, of plastic ducks and Kenyan acrobats\, of firemen and priests\, of an accident and a gas station\, of a radio and a city always on fire\, of why things happen. Then everything disappears\, sucked into the eyes\, as if it never existed. \nConcerto Fisico is a musical tale for actions that retraces and redraws the history of Balletto Civile\, that is\, my own\, the history of my company. It was founded during a long artistic residence inside the former Psychiatric Hospital of Udine\, one of the centres where Basaglia revolutionized the concept of madness. My art was born in that place\, isolated from the world and at the same time in the centre of its burning fire. \nMichela Lucenti \nBalletto Civile \nA nomadic group by definition\, animated by a strong ethical tension\, Balletto Civile was founded in 2003 by Michela Lucenti. The creative approach is a research based on movement that emerges from the deep scenic relationship between the artists. It works on a total language where theatre\, dance and original singing interact naturally. \nballettocivile.org \n\n

SUMMARY:Felliniana - Open Rehearsal
DESCRIPTION:OPEN REHEARSAL_COMPAGNIA ARTEMIS DANZA\nExtravagant characters\, good and bad\, usurpers and jesters\, thrill on the scene like lightning ready to detonate. Immersed in magical atmospheres and mocking situations\, these creatures dance the wonder of life and encounters\, always on the edge between reality and enchantment. Energies that propagate and connect showing the human in its infinite facets. Ironic and tragic\, pure and naive\, energetic and sardonic\, the Fellinian character feeds on everything that surrounds him\, making him part of himself and his story. In this new creation by Monica Casadei\, the bodies cross the contemporary dance and circus\, the dream and the real world\, accompanied by the unforgettable music composed by Nino Rota for Federico Fellini. Euphoric and sparkling choreographies\, virtuosity and an irresistible humanity animate this show making it a poetic and sensitive manifesto celebrating the history of Italian cinema and music. \nCANCELLED OPEN REHEARSAL\nCompagnia Artemis Danza \n“All that mankind has experienced is written in the body. To dance the soul\, the ancient one and the one of today\, is to place movement and form at the service of necessity\, urgency\, emotion and soul” M.C. \nOriginally from Ferrara and graduated with honors with a thesis on Plato and dance\, Monica Casadei\, after a competitive career in rhythmic gymnastics\, devoted herself to the study of classical and modern dance\, first in Italy\, then in London\, finally in Paris\, where she met the choreographers Pierre Doussaint and Isabelle Doubouloz and the master André Cognard Hanshi So shihan\, with whom she still practices the martial art of Aikido. He founded the company Artemis Danza in France\, with which he moved to Italy in 1997\, creating an intense production activity that counts\, to date\, over forty original creations. From 1998 to 2007 the company is in residence at the Fondazione Teatro Due in Parma\, while from 2014 it is in artistic residence at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna. Artemis Danza has been invited to the most important Italian theatres and festivals\, in numerous international tours and festivals. \nFundamental in Monica Casadei’s artistic research are the contamination with different artistic\, cultural and geographical territories\, as well as the exploration of urban places and spaces that become the theatre of performance actions. \nAlongside the production activity\, Artemis supports\, produces and promotes young authors and carries out many activities for the training of the public. \nartemisdanza.com

SUMMARY:Tempesta
DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto\, after a long tour\, finally presents Tempesta in Reggio Emilia\, in its Fonderia. \n“Can one transfer into gesture and movement the writing so dense with narrative and meaning of this work? This is the challenge of the show. Very daring because the comparison is with a text that has a particular and absolute value throughout Shakespeare’s play. It is his last work and is considered as his spiritual testament\, a farewell to the theatre which not by chance presents on stage a creator of magic who\, as Strehler had well understood\, alludes to a creator of theatrical wonders.” Antonio Audino \nThanks to Giuseppe Spota‘s choreography and Giuliano Sangiorgi’s music you can live seventy minutes of magic. \nCANCELLED PERFORMANCE

SUMMARY:Empty - Prima di domani
DESCRIPTION:Two choreographies that highlight the talent of the young XL Dance Company directed by Emanuela Baratin and Laura Matano. \nCANCELLED PERFORMANCE\nEmpty \nChoreography Daniele Ziglioli\nDancers Diletta Antolini\, Melissa Bortolotti\, Noemi Garofalo\, Daniel Toseghini\, Chiara Riva\nLighting Design Jessica Germini\nMusic AAVV \nEmpty is born from a reflection that comes from the study of vacuum physics.\nEmpty in physics is the absence of matter in an empty space\, for me\, it is the attempt of matter to fill one or more empty spaces. The perception I have of the void lies between the air and the arms and the body is the container with which I create an escape\, expansion between void and matter.\nThe body is not a fixed and permanent form\, but instead an attempt\, a transition\, a narrow and dangerous bridge between nature and spirit.\nAs body every man is one\, as soul never. \nPrima di domani \nChoreography Laura Matano\nAssistant to the choreographer Sabrina Rigoni\nDancers Diletta Antolini\, Melissa Bortolotti\, Noemi Garofalo\, Chiara Riva\nVisual Art Jessica Incerti Telani\nSet Design Cinzia Macis\nLighting Design Jessica Germini\nMusic AAVV \n“I’ve learned so much from you men. I learned that everyone wants to live on top of the mountain without knowing that true happiness lies in how this mountain was climbed. I learned that a man has the right to look down on another man just to help him get back on his feet.” Gabriel García Márquez

SUMMARY:XL Dance Company
DESCRIPTION:After a year of suspension\, we are resuming performances at the Foundry from where we stopped\, with live streaming. \nWe decided to start our streaming activity from the Foundry by giving priority to XL Dance Company\, a young company from Reggio Emilia directed by Laura Matano and Emanuela Baratin\, which was due to make its debut just a year ago in the Foundry. \nOn stage were two choreographies signed by Laura Matano\, “Oh Peter\, hello. Goodbye.” and “Before Tomorrow”. \nThe event will be streamed on OnTheatre. \nOh Peter\, hello. Goodbye. \nChoreography Laura Matano\nPerformers Diletta Antolini\, Melissa Bortolotti\, Francesco Corvino\nLighting design Gessica Germini\nMusic Various Authors\nDuration 13.40 min \nHere is the greeting you were meant to be.\nI awaited it with understanding because in all our things there were sentences and redemptions.\nIn it is included the desire to which I had to return and which I had to keep. A\nresolute control of aspirations so as not to become a victim of them.\nYou are without siege\, and I am no longer a smile but winter.\nCover yourself too.\nYou said that every body seeks\, calls\, must fulfil itself.\nIt is true\, here is the ritual to go.\nI feel that you want to drag me into your space but I choose to return to myself\, in symbiosis\nwith my wide gestures and without constraints. Until they are fulfilled we will guard our\nsleeps but stand in profile\, to give access to nightmares.\nThen I will open my hands as in a space of my own\, without having yours around me trying to\ntake one last close look. \nXL Dance Company – “Oh Peter\, hello. Goodbye” – ph. Jessica Incerti Telani \nPrima di domani \nChoreography Laura Matano\nChoreography assistant Sabrina Rigoni\nPerformers Diletta Antolini\, Melissa Bortolotti\, Noemi Garofalo\, Sabrina Rigoni\nVisual Art Jessica Incerti Telani\nScenography Cinzia Macis\nDramaturgical Preparation Stefano Masotti\nLighting Design Gessica Germini\nMusic Various Authors\nDuration 24.30 min \nSurrendering to the earth with an exhausted gesture\, the body turns into a closed century.\nLet it go.\nIntensity\, delicacy\, violence\, sincerity\, intimacy.\nTake it all in again and cherish it. A game that never ends.\nEach time\, the pain\, it is a great discovery. Dazzling\, like a black star.\nSomething is missing\, you begin to live without\, as you search for life’s vanishing point.\nYou scrape the empty words\, you invent a new language\, you derive by subtraction.\nIt is fear that comes but it comes together with courage.\nCourage. And courage.\nThey are needed.\nTo learn again where the cardinal points are and then the exact vertical.\nTo square the balance again.\nYou devour existence.\nYou twist.\nA twist that digs into your side\, necessary to re-emerge. In the meantime a weeping flows\, heedless and in\nin its way hospitable.\nAnd you walk\, you move forward in the disorder of destiny\, you obey the failure of time that falls\non you without you being able to stop it.\nIt affects us all.\nA compulsory\, obligatory passage\, you do not escape\, the bridge has collapsed.\nCount the hours\, count the minutes.\nCount the seconds.\nIn fact\, look\, hold your head with your hand when you hear too much noise inside.\nTake your time.\nCompelled state of necessity.\nThat’s it\, you have to get through it before tomorrow.\nAnd from tomorrow on\, don’t forget it. \nXL Dance Company – “Prima di domani” – ph. Elena Bianchi \nINFO STREAMING \nHere are the complete instructions for seeing the show. \nTickets \n\nTickets are 3 euros\nBuy your ticket on www.biglietteriafonderia39.it\nWe will send you a personal code\, with which you can see the show on the OnTheatre platform\n\nOnTheatre platform \n\nSign up for free at OnTheatre here: www.ontheatre.tv/Registrati and confirm your registration by clicking on the link you will receive by email\nYou can now log in to OnTheatre using your email address and the password you have chosen\nChoose the show “Oh Peter\, hello. DESCRIPTION:Agora Coaching Project – ph. Started in 2010\, the course is now gaining full recognition in the world of European dance and boasts collaborations with internationally renowned teachers and choreographers. \nOn stage Made in Italy 24.0\, a programme consisting of Träfen Wir Uns\, Uscita di Sicurezza\, LEGO. \nTräfen Wir Uns \nChoreography Ivan Alboresi\nMusic Davidson Jaconello\, Stefan Levin\, Frèdèric Chopin \nTräfen wir uns is a new creation by Ivan Alboresi for the young dancers of the Agora Coaching Project. The choreography deals with various problems of the individual in contemporary society. The virtual reality\, which the world pushes us to seek and create\, contrasts with the loneliness present in everyday life. The problem of one’s identity outside of the digital self-presentation\, the desire for “real” encounters and connections\, as well as the omnipresence of fears and their influence on our actions\, form the foundations of this piece. \nIvan Alboresi shows restless protagonists who are constantly searching for themselves\, for support\, for security. But at the same time the fear of connecting with the other\, of losing control or being rejected. He contrasts this restlessness with moments of almost catatonic torpor. The choice of music\, a fundamental part of Ivan Alboresi’s choreographies\, goes from classical pieces to contemporary music to the use of sound carpets created in collaboration with the composer Davidson Jaconello. \nDuration: 30′ \nUscita di sicurezza \nChoreography Enrico Morelli\nMusic Ben Frost\, Vex’d\, Max Richter\nCostumes Nuvia Valestri \nFirst performance: March 2012 \nUscita di Sicurezza catapults us into a parallel universe\, into an alienating underworld where fog\, rhythmic contractions and frenetic bodies enhance the dangerous influence of the herd.\nThey are all victims and aggressors\, they are all perpetrators of a revolt suffocated within bodies that abandon and recover in a rhythmically controlled tension. The lack of personal identity\, if not in function of the others\, the need to belong\, the incapacity of autonomy determine a sense of oppression from which to escape. The way out and the road to freedom here pass through the recognition of one’s own weakness: no longer existing only in function of others but breaking the rhythm by accepting oneself and one’s own fragile uniqueness. \nDuration: 30′ \nLEGO \nChoreography Giuseppe Spota\nMusic Afiletta\, Ezio Bosso\, Jóhann Jóhannsson\, Ólafur Arnalds/Nils Frahm\nMaster repeater Damiano Artale \nCreation created for Compagnia Aterballetto (2015) \nBridges\, connections\, streets to be travelled searching for oneself\, searching for love\, friendship\, family\, life. SUMMARY:OMBRE (excerpts) - OPEN REHEARSAL
DESCRIPTION:OPEN REHEARSAL\nTribute to Dante Alighieri\, is a scenic polyphony between body\, Dante’s verses and sound environments.\nThe originality of the creative approach lies both in the cross-media staging and in the production format. The project is in fact conceived to be modular and modulable: each solo is composed of several interchangeable scenic elements\, which relate dynamically to the structure that houses them.\nThe 3 “actors” of the scenic polyphony imagined by Monica Casadei are the performers for the choreography of the chosen Dantean Ombra\, the voice off of an actor/actress\, the sound carpet/atmosphere composed by a sound designer who elaborates a Dantean sound from Verdi’s Requiem. \nCREDITS \nChoreography\, direction Monica Casadei\nMusic by Luca Vianini\nVoice actor Agostino Rocca\nDirection Alessandro Ceci\nProduction Compagnia Artemis Danza\nIn collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institutes of Jakarta\, Lima\, Mumbai\, Prague\, Tunisi \nCOMPAGNIA ARTEMIS DANZA \nOriginally from Ferrara\, Monica Casadei graduates in philosophy cum laude writing a dissertation on dance in Plato’s system. After a career as a professional acrobatic gymnast\, she takes to studying classic and modern dance\, at first in Italy\, then in London\, and eventually in Paris where she gets to meet choreographers Pierre Doussaint and Isabelle Doubouloz and the Master André Cognard Hanshi So shihan\, with whom she still practices the martial art of Aikido. \nIn France\, she founds the company Artemis Danza\, with which she later moves to Italy\, in 1997\, giving birth to a fervent production activity that amounts\, nowadays\, to over 40 original creations. \nFrom 1998 to 2007\, the Company is part of an artist residency at Fondazione Teatro Due in Parma whereas\, from 2014 up to this day\, it partakes in an artist residency at Teatro Comunale in Bologna. Artemis Danza has been invited to the most important Italian theatres and festivals and to several international tours and festivals. \nPivotal elements in Monica Casadei’ s artistic research are the influences from different artistic\, cultural and geographic fields and the exploration of urban spaces and places that turn into stages for performances. \nAlongside the production activity\, Artemis funds\, produces and promotes young choreographers and organizes several activities meant to artistically educate the audience. \nartemisdanza.com \nINFO & TICKETS \nTICKETS\nFull price: 3 euro\nUnder 8: free \nPURCHASING TICKETS\nIn compliance with anti-Covid regulations\, tickets can only be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it up to one hour before the performance.\nTherefore tickets cannot be booked by phone or by e-mail. \nThe ticket service in the Fonderia is suspended. \nTickets are not numbered. \nENTRANCE\nYou can enter the Fonderia 15 minutes before the performance\, showing your online purchase.\nAt the entrance\, the temperature will be tested and if the temperature exceeds 37.5°C\, you will not be allowed to enter and you must fill in the Covid self-certification form.\nIn order to avoid queues at the entrance\, please download the Covid self-certification form (it must be submitted on paper) and fill it in beforehand. SUMMARY:Frammenti d’Inferno_1 - OPEN REHEARSAL
DESCRIPTION:OPEN REHEARSAL\nFrammenti d’Inferno_ 1 brings the author’s focus to the representation of the demons and damned of the infernal hosts\, to the investigation of the characters that the Poet encounters on his journey and the torments reserved for them. A succession of choreographic pictures\, with different music and atmospheres. Characters chosen by the choreographer to investigate the human soul and compose a poetic and fascinating picture\, perturbing\, in which every archetype of the collective unconscious finds its own carnal and earthly manifestation. Dissipating\, as Dante did\, the darkness that envelops these famous damned souls and bringing them to the light\, literally under the spotlight\, Monica Casadei chooses to follow them along a path of sin\, awareness\, acceptance\, where the point of arrival is no longer punishment but the expressive power of the Ego\, in its fullness and truth. \nCREDITS \nChoreography\, direction Monica Casadei\nMusic Giuseppe Verdi\nSound design Luca Vianini\nProduction Compagnia Artemis Danza\nCo-production FIND Festival \n  \nCOMPAGNIA ARTEMIS DANZA \nOriginally from Ferrara\, Monica Casadei graduates in philosophy cum laude writing a dissertation on dance in Plato’s system. SUMMARY:Dante Solo Inferno - Open Rehearsal
DESCRIPTION:OPEN REHEARSAL\nAn intricate forest\, swamps and rivers with dark\, stagnant water\, caves\, mud and stones\, rains of fire\, boiling blood. The landscape described by Dante Alighieri’s verses takes shape and body in the choreography Dante Solo Inferno\, created by Monica Casadei for the Compagnia Artemis Danza and inspired by the first cantica of the Commedia. \n \nCREDITS \nChoreography Monica Casadei\nMusic Franz Liszt\, Giuseppe Verdi\, Alfred Schnittke\, Krzysztof Penderecki\nMusical arrangements Luca Vianini\nProduction Compagnia Artemis Danza\nIn partnership with Ravenna Festival\n \nSynopsis \nIn this performance\, conceived to celebrate the 700th anniversary of the Poet’s death\, the dancers redraw the contours of an inhospitable land\, where torments of the damned serve their sentence. The choreographic movements become a mirror of the torment\, the bodies are shaped in torsions\, syncopes\, contractures\, insoluble weaves. And yet\, as in Dante’s Inferno\, there are traces of a decayed humanity\, souls that preserve memory of themselves and their past\, individualities that emerge like spots of colour in the indistinct magma\, out of a desire to tell the outside observer about their lives before death. \nSome of them cross the stage still wearing their worn-out earthly clothes\, remnants of a nobility that is no longer worth anything\, where everyone is equal. Others take shape through the reading of Dante’s verses. SUMMARY:Eppur si muove - Punch 24 - A Poetry Abstraction
DESCRIPTION:ph. Jennifer Moyes \nThe Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto presents a programme composed of three choreographies and itinerant through the main spaces of the Fonderia. \nOn stage Eppur si muove by Francesca Lattuada\, the premiere of Punch 24 by Roberto Tedesco and A Poetry Abstraction\, the creation by Diego Tortelli created in 2019 for the Marina Rinaldi by Roksanda capsule. The choreographies are danced by specifically selected performers. \nThree performances of the programme are scheduled: \n\nh 16.30-17.30\nh 18.00-19.00\nh 19.30-20.30\n\n \nEppur si muove \nChoreography Francesca Lattuada\nMusic Ludwig van Beethoven (Symphony n. 7 – Second movement – Allegretto)\nCostume design Bruno Fatalot\nDancers Arianna Ganassi\, Antonio Tafuni \nDuration 12’\nProduction Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto \nWrapped in the elegant and impalpable costume of Bruno Fatalot\, a dancer moves solemnly on a barrel-pedestal\, pulled by the painful and mysterious note of Beethoven’s Allegretto. His dance fascinates and seduces\, as impressive as a prayer song. \nAn im-mobile dance.\nIm-mobility of the secular tree.\nSoft movements\, invisible to the naked eye.\nThe blood dripping in the veins\, the heart beating.\nA sensually funeral dance.\nObstinate Love.\nA dance that celebrates an incessant\, inexorable\, ineluctable flow of the\nLife.\nCombination of solemnity and simplicity. \n«Simplicity is complexity solved.» Constantin Brancusi \nPunch 24 \nChoreography Roberto Tedesco\nMusic Not Waving\nCostumes Waxman Brothers\nDancers Antonello Amati\, Laila Luchetta Lovino \nDuration 12’\nProduction Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto \nPREMIERE \nThe end is the beginning and the beginning is the end.\nA circle\, a journey that comes to an end only after returning to its starting point\, containing countless roads and suggestions.\nPunch24 is a circular path where the first and last stages intersect each other but are not coincident phases. It is my research about anything what we can find within a shape\, the awareness that every movement\, every sound\, every glance can be variable and endlessly multipliable.\nPunch24 is a series of independent scenes\, a game of entrances and exits\, a back and forth between the two dancers. A set of seemingly disconnected scenes that follow one other\, offering the audience the possibility to visualize each time a different performer. \nThe initial idea when I approached this new work was to create a piece for a group of 5/6 dancers. However\, the current pandemic situation has affected my idea\, leading me to change my plans and “forcing” me to interact with only two performers. This “obstacle”\, so to speak\, has made me think and it has led me to the creation of a duet that is not caged in a pre-defined structure. A duet that is open to future evolutions: an enlargement or\, to be more precise\, a return to a greater number of dancers. \nRoberto Tedesco \n  \nA POETRY ABSTRACTION \nChoreography Diego Tortelli\nMusic Modulatori and Cavalcata by Daniela Savoldi\, Meditation from Thaïs by Jules Massenet\nCello Daniela Savoldi\nCostume design Diego Tortelli\nDancers Fabio Calvisi\, Vittoria Franchina\, Giovanni Leone\, Vanessa Loi \nDuration 20’\nProduction Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto \nCreation for the launch of Marina Rinaldi by Roksanda capsule (2019)\n \n\nIn the performance created for the launch of the Marina Rinaldi by Roksanda capsule in 2019\, I am going to draw geometric shapes and patterns through dance and body\, following and connecting my work to the designer’s creations\, but also from the idea of “opposites”. \nI am fascinated by the concept of elements that are born from a principle of “abstractionism” but find their own story when meeting; just as a body finds its own narrative and the right feeling when wearing a dress\, so the dancing body finds its own narrative sense in the encounter with music. \nI imagine therefore an exclusive performance\, where the bodies of the dancers intertwine creating plastic figures\, broken lines and games of fluid geometries\, but always accompanied by the harmonious and poetic sound of a young cellist\, to give geometry a soul\, a place\, a time. Colour\, shape and fluidity: a performance built for an audience that loves to be carried away by the poetry of line and elegance. Drawing inspiration from the patterns at the base of Marina Rinaldi by Roksanda capsule\, I am going to create an abstract poem of bodies immersed in colour. \nA declaration of love to contemporary art\, to what defines it: geometry\, matter and poetry. \nDiego Tortelli \nInfo & Tickets \nTICKETS\nFull price: 9 euro\nReduced price under 30\, dance schools\, Liceo Coreutico Matilde di Canossa\, over 65: 6 euro\nUnder 8: free \nPURCHASING TICKETS\nIn compliance with anti-Covid regulations\, tickets can only be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it up to one hour before the performance.\nTherefore tickets cannot be booked by phone or by e-mail. \nThe ticket service in the Fonderia is suspended. \nTickets are not numbered. \nENTRANCE\nYou can enter the Fonderia 15 minutes before the performance\, showing your online purchase.\nAt the entrance\, the temperature will be tested and if the temperature exceeds 37.5°C\, you will not be allowed to enter.
