An overview of stereotypes\, of already seen\, already said\, acted upon. The little theatre of human misery: body and voice at the service of a painful chorus that echoes “The Frogs” by Aristophanes\, or perhaps an operetta by Offenbach\, or the famous Brechtian “Opera”. Staticity and immobility in response to the imminent\, evident collapse (physical\, political\, social\, environmental…). We can’t do anything about it\, too late\, game over; we watch helplessly\, we take note of it\, we shrug\, sigh and turn around again. \nIn the question “what is happening around us?” lies the genesis of this creation: a deepening of the international current affairs and the search for connections between the present forms of protest – rarely based on the idea of human evolution and revolution – and the historical Enlightenment (enlightened) vision\, which puts Culture and Art at the centre of change.\nA creation that once again leads the Company to investigate contemporary social issues\, through an amphibious language of strong impact and a complex dramaturgical level in support of the work. \nC&C Company \nC&C Company was born from the union between Carlo Massari and Chiara Taviani\, performers with an eclectic background\, in the last decade on international stages as interpreters and creators of different companies. The debut of the first work in 2011: Corpo e Cultura (Body and Culture) immediately highlighted a strong vocation of the Company in search of a necessary physical language\, strongly dramaturgical\, in close relation with contemporary social issues. DESCRIPTION:OPEN REHEARSAL_SALVO LOMBARDO\nBetween parody and attempt to bring on stage those dances really contemporary and anthropological as the latest generation disco dance\, Salvo Lombardo photographs a moment of extreme topicality\, a youthful and alienating nocturnal excerpt\, creating a funny but deeply tragic documentary in which the human seems to cancel itself to the rhythm of digital beats. (Benedetta Colasanti – Recensito) \nSalvo Lombardo \nSalvo Lombardo is an italian perfomer\, coreographer and director who bases his work on a constant research of a relation between theatre\, dance and visual art. He lives and works in Rome. He is the artistic director of the Chiasma Company whose works were presented in the main Festivals and Theatres in Italy. \nIn 2015-2016 he was resident choreographer at Anghiari Dance Hub where he worked at the project “Casual Bystanders” based on a choreographic pattern representing an archive of “not-extraordinary” gestures proceeding from kinetic fragments of common people observed in public places. From 2016 till today Salvo Lombardo is supported by the Festival Fabbrica Europa that produces many of his dance pieces. From 2017 he is one of the associated artists of the Festival Oriente Occidente\, the principal co-producer of the performance “Present Continuous” inspired by a memory system of gestures which stem from a night’s work at a music club and also the interactive installation in augmented reality titled “Reappearances” conceived for the MART Museum of Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto\, involving the participation of the local community. \nIn 2017 he is guest choreographer at Aura Dance Theatre of Kaunas (LIT) for which he conceived the performance “Twister” studying the relationship between gestures memory\, play and sociality. In 2018 he worked on the project “L’Esemplare Capovolto”\, aims to generate a series of performative actions\, installations\, conferences\, workshops and the creation of the show “Excelsior”\, co-produced by the Théâtre National de Chaillot of Paris and the Romaeuropa Festival.\n​ \nsalvolombardo.org \n\n  \n

DESCRIPTION:OPEN REHEARSAL_PULCINELLA\nIn making his own version of Pulcinella\, Michele Merola respects the past\, but moves in his own way. The soundtrack is composed of some pieces of the ballet and the “excursions” of the composer Stefano Corrias. The contamination of the original score is dictated by the need to have more intimate moments to clarify who Punchinello really is: the choreographer wanted to highlight the solitary and melancholy side of the Neapolitan standard bearer. \n“Pulcinella – says Merola – is also an image of loneliness\, which never dies: it seems to die several times during the show\, but then always gets up\, because his freedom could be suffocated\, but always comes back to life.” \n  \nMM CONTEMPORARY DANCE COMPANY \nMM Contemporary Dance Company – winner in 2010 of the prestigious Dance & Dance Award and in 2017 of the Europaindanza Award – is a reality of excellence in Italian dance\, with a consolidated activity of shows throughout the country. DESCRIPTION:PROVA APERTA_toPRAY\ntoPRAY è uno spettacolo in cui le danze urbane si mescolano a gesti contemporanei\, producendo una danza fuori dagli schemi\, dal tempo. La scrittura coreografica attinge da calligrafie multiculturali\, risultando un linguaggio universale: come il racconto dell’anima dell’uomo. \n  \nDéjà Donné \nThe contemporary dance company Déjà Donné was founded in 1997 in Prague; in 2000 the head office moved to Umbria where an intense activity of creation and circulation of shows began\, both in Italy and abroad. During the year 2015 a transformation takes place that starts a new path of the company\, imagined by the artistic direction of Virginia Spallarossa and Gilles Toutevoix. \nTheir work intends to guide Déjà Donné towards new potentialities\, contributing to a deep renewal of sign and languages through the creation of their own shows. \nThe main activities of Déjà Donné include: creation and production of contemporary dance performances and shows; regional\, national and international distribution of the works produced; training activities for professionals and non-professionals; creation of projects aimed at promoting contemporary dance and training the public through the involvement of other artistic subjects\, in Italy and abroad. \nThe company’s works have been presented in 26 countries\, in North and South America\, in Asia and in Europe.\nDéjà Donné’s activity is supported by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and the Umbria Region. \nwww.dejadonne.com \nINC InNprogressCollective  \nThe group was founded in 2006 following the creation of “HEIM”\, which will be the only overall winner of the International Dance Week in Spoleto\, attracting the interest of many professionals. Director Giuseppe Tornatore chooses the INC company for a dance scene from his film “La Corrispondenza”\, which will be released in cinemas in January 2016. \nCharacterized by a surprising young age and a strong artistic fellowship\, they are the supporters of an alliance\, where talents and skills are shared\, mixed and recomposed towards collective goals. After a career as a professional acrobatic gymnast\, she takes to studying classic and modern dance\, at first in Italy\, then in London\, and eventually in Paris where she gets to meet choreographers Pierre Doussaint and Isabelle Doubouloz and the Master André Cognard Hanshi So shihan\, with whom she still practices the martial art of Aikido. \nIn France\, she founds the company Artemis Danza\, with which she later moves to Italy\, in 1997\, giving birth to a fervent production activity that amounts\, nowadays\, to over 40 original creations. \nFrom 1998 to 2007\, the Company is part of an artist residency at Fondazione Teatro Due in Parma whereas\, from 2014 up to this day\, it partakes in an artist residency at Teatro Comunale in Bologna. DESCRIPTION:Defined by critics as burlesque\, comic\, crazy\, explosive and at the same time poetic\, the Greek artist Euripides Laskaridis is fascinated by the notions of transformation and ridicule\, directly related to the instability that his country is going through\, in an attempt to explore the perseverance of humanity in the face of the unknown and the unknown. \nThe body of the performer\, deformed\, corrupted in its own form\, together with the language and gestures outside of any canon\, represents the disharmony of the present society: through dance\, the body becomes the instrument through which to convey a message of denunciation of the present society that\, although it grows in wealth\, services\, and new opportunities\, presents all its degree of corruption in the constant persistence of social and economic inequalities. \nAfter four intense days of masterclasses with the dancers of the Agora Coaching Project\, Euripides Laskaridis meets the public in the Fonderia in an open rehearsal\, creating a dialogue between movement and words. \nThe open rehearsal of Euripides Laskaridis is part of the Return Trip project\, supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. \nEuripides Laskaridis will be with his Titans in the summer program of the Teatro Sociale of Brescia\, partner of the project Return Trip\, June 28. \n \n

SUMMARY:Spellbound Contemporary Ballet
DESCRIPTION:  \nProva aperta con Spellbound Contemporary Ballet\, compagnia nata nel 1994 per volontà del coreografo Mauro Astolfi cui si è aggiunta alla guida due anni dopo Valentina Marini\, con cui la compagnia ha avviato una intensa attività di internazionalizzazione. Forte di una cifra stilistica inconfondibile esaltata da un ensemble di danzatori considerati tra le eccellenze dell’ultima generazione\, Spellbound si colloca oggi nella rosa delle proposte italiane maggiormente competitive sul piano di una dialettica internazionale\, espressione di una danza che si offre al pubblico con un vocabolario ampio e in continua sperimentazione\, convincendo le platee dei principali Festival di Europa\, Asia\, Americhe. \n  \n\n  \nLa Compagnia ha posto negli anni le basi di un percorso dove il divario tra spettatore\, amatore e artista si è fatto sempre più sottile\, alimentando attraverso venti anni di seminari e workshop una filiera creativa che ha avvicinato al palcoscenico migliaia di danzatori e curiosi e consolidando questo processo ha dato luogo a un autentico vivaio in termini di formazione in rapporto dialettico con la Compagnia\, processo culminato con la residenza presso Daf Dance Arts Faculty.
