SUMMARY:Un canto necessario (Antigone) - premiere
DESCRIPTION:Natiscalzi’s Antigone at Danza in Fonderia.\n \nWednesday 4 November 8.30 pm \nWhere does the possibility of saying “no” reside today? What does it mean to “witness” in a world saturated with images of suffering? Are we witnesses or accomplices? And what does the ancient gesture of burying our dead ask of us? What social pact are we willing to break for an act of pure compassion?ANTIGONE resounds once more. It returns as sound (Mendelssohn and Cordaro). It returns as body (the ensemble of dancers). It returns as a question. In Natiscalzi‘s project\, this return transforms the stage into a site of physical research on the crisis of dualism\, into a territory of conflict but also into a contemporary rite capable of generating urgent questions. This year too\, the company continues its research through a dialogue with the classics\, starting from Sophocles’s Antigone and its most contemporary reworkings\, to immerse itself in the questions of the present time. \nCREDITS \nConcept: Natiscalzi DTChoreography: Claudia Rossi Valli and Tommaso MonzaWith: Marco Bissoli\, Julia Canard\, Serena Gelsomini\, Alberto Gnola\, Elena Grappi\, Federico RussoSound design and original music: Giuseppe CordaroVoice and singing: Francesca SartoratoVideo: Natiscalzi DTProduction cinqueminuti APS/R.A.D. SUMMARY:POP
DESCRIPTION:Play in Nicola Galli’s performance enlivens the season at the Fonderia.\nSaturday 14 November 4.00 pm \nSunday 15 November 4.00 pm \nPOP is an event for children and families that places the body at the centre as a tool for exploring its expressive and communicative potential. \nThrough play\, the interactive performance invites participants to experiment with different possibilities of movement and to take time to discover new perceptions\, sensations and emotions connected to movement. \nOn a square platform covered in bubble wrap\, the dancer bends and extends the joints\, tracing figures and geometries. The audience is invited to interact with the material and with the performance space\, sharing the pleasure of moving and exploring. \nhttps://vimeo.com/852246747?fl=pl&fe=cm \nCREDITS \nAction and creation: Nicola GalliCurated by: Nebula APS \nNicola Galli \nNicola Galli works in bodily research and is a choreographer\, dancer\, and lighting and costume designer. \nHis research takes shape in actions and devices that range from choreography to performance\, from installation to graphic and visual design. \nStarting from the natural sciences\, geometry\, astronomy\, architecture and a passion for photography\, his gaze is fascinated by human anatomy\, by light and by sound — key elements that nourish the close relationship between the subjects inhabiting the stage in a perspective of interdependence. \nHis work embraces a cross-disciplinary scenic horizon\, in which the body becomes the radiating centre of an artistic discourse that takes substance in a scenic sensibility devoted to exploring movement as a hybrid panorama of knowledge. \nNicola Galli started out as a competitive gymnast and came to contemporary languages with Teatro Nucleo\, later dancing for the company CollettivO CineticO from 2010 to 2014. \nSince 2010 he has developed a choreographic inquiry centred on the profound relationship between humankind and nature and on the analysis of the notions of “stratification” and “landscape.” \nAlongside his more specifically artistic research\, he leads training programmes for children\, adults and young dancers in training\, developing a personal method aimed at exploring movement\, discovering new visions and perceptions of the body\, and deepening one’s personal physical and communicative boundaries. \nSince 2014 he has been an artist supported by the production body TIR Danza. \nINFO & TICKETS \nTICKETS \nFull price: 10 eurosReduced for under-30s\, dance schools\, Liceo Coreutico Matilde di Canossa\, over-65s\, members of the CRAL of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia: 6 eurosReduced for under-8s: 3 euros \nPURCHASING TICKETS \nTickets can be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it. \nThe box office at the Fonderia opens one hour before the start of the performance. \nTickets are not numbered. \nCONTACTS \nMobile and WhatsApp 3341023554

SUMMARY:CUOR DI CONIGLIO
DESCRIPTION:The Compagnia Dimitri/Canessa dances in search of the lost heart at the Fonderia.\nSaturday 14 November 6.00 pm \nSunday 15 November 6.00 pm \nCuor di Coniglio is a poetic modern fairy tale that explores fragility and the courage of self-acceptance. Vincent is a happy\, imaginative child who\, wounded by the cruel dragon of other people’s judgement\, shuts himself away in his inner castle\, losing touch with himself. With the help of Rosi\, an eccentric and dancing rabbit\, Vincent sets out on a symbolic and surreal journey in search of his lost heart. Through the language of physical theatre and clowning\, the performance is an invitation to overcome the fear of judgement and to discover the beauty in fragility: a hymn to the freedom of being oneself\, to look at the world from a new perspective and to show oneself\, simply\, for what one is. \nhttps://vimeo.com/1082119951 \nCREDITS \nCompany: Dimitri/CanessaDirection: Elisa Canessawith Federico Dimitri and Francesco ManentiArtistic collaboration: Giorgio RossiLighting design: Marco OlianiSound designer: Tommaso Marzini Della RagioneSet and costumes: Matilde Gori / Atelier scenografia Zaches \nProduction Associazione Sosta Palmizi\, Pilar Ternera / Nuovo Teatro delle Commedie e Straligut Teatrowith residential support from Centro di Residenza della Toscana (Fondazione Armunia Castiglioncello – CapoTrave/Kilowatt Sansepolcro)\, Wintergarten – Atelier di teatro permanente e In Tel Fade \nCompagnia Dimitri/Canossa \nThe Compagnia Dimitri/Canessa was founded in Livorno in 2013.

SUMMARY:MEET THE COREOGRAPHER!
DESCRIPTION:Choreographic encounters for the Danza in Fonderia season.\nFrom Monday 16 to Friday 20 November 4.30 pm \nSaturday 21 November 10.30 am \nMeet the coreographer! is an educational project curated by Annika Pannitto for children aged 7 and over. The workshop unfolds across a series of encounters with some of the choreographers who have marked the evolution of dance over the past sixty years and have proposed an expansion of its traditional meaning. \nThe title takes its cue from the expression Meet the Artist\, which usually denotes the moment when the artist is invited to talk with the audience to share the process behind a performance. Although not live\, the project makes it possible to meet the choreographers through their works\, to begin a journey of learning and to discover how dance and choreography have evolved and questioned their own history\, profoundly changing the use of the body and its relationship with movement. \nThe idea is to bring children closer not only to the individual works\, but also to the context in which they were created\, to the processes that made them possible\, and to the exercises and studies that the artists developed to build their own path and through which they contributed to the evolution of the live arts. For the autumn season of Danza in Fonderia\, the choreographer in focus will be William Forsythe. \nAnnika Pannitto \nAnnika Pannitto (Italy\, 1981) is a choreographer\, dancer and researcher in the field of contemporary choreography. For fifteen years she has also devoted herself to teaching in a variety of contexts\, with students of all ages and levels. Her work deals with the relationship between dance and choreography and starts from the human body and its relationship with space and time. She qualified as a teacher and dancer at the National Academy of Dance in Rome\, and as a choreographer in the Master of Choreography at the ArtEZ art institute in the Netherlands. Her works have been hosted in various European contexts\, such as the Schouwburg theatre in Rotterdam\, the Atelier Re.Al in Lisbon\, the Diskurs Festival in Giessen and the Centro Danza Canal in Madrid. She collaborates regularly with artists from other disciplines to enrich her practice and learn from other artistic paths. Together with designer Erica Preli\, she has curated the publication Table Conversation since 2012. She lives and works in Madrid. \nINFO & TICKETS \nTICKETS \nTo take part in the workshops you need to register by contacting the box office and purchase a ticket of your choice for one of the Dance Weekend performances. \nPURCHASING TICKETS \nTickets can be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it. \nThe box office at the Fonderia opens one hour before the start of the performance. \nTickets are not numbered. \nCONTACTS \nMobile and WhatsApp 3341023554

SUMMARY:PAS DE CHEVAL
DESCRIPTION:Andrea Costanzo Martini investigates through dance the condition of the contemporary performer.\nSaturday 28 and Sunday 29 November 8.30 pm \nPas de Cheval is a duet choreographed by Andrea Costanzo Martini and performed together with Francesca Foscarini\, conceived for two performers who are no longer in their early youth. Starting from the figure of the horse\, a symbol of grace\, strength and freedom\, the work explores the parallel between the animal and the dancer-performer: creatures that are admired and\, at the same time\, subjected to toil\, discipline and dynamics of power. \n On stage\, the two performers move in silence\, embodying trained horses\, while a soundscape made up of recorded voices accompanies their bodies. It is their own voices\, in the form of whispers that chase and overlap one another\, that give shape to laments\, confessions and small ironies about the condition of the contemporary performer. \nCREDITS \nChoreography: Andrea Costanzo MartiniPerformers: Francesca Foscarini and Andrea Costanzo MartiniMusic: Angelo Badalamenti\, Ennio MorriconeLighting: Yoav Barel\nTexts: Francesca Foscarini\, Andrea Costanzo Martini\n \nProduction Associazione Culturale Zebra\nWith the support of Artisti Associati (premiere at Festival Visavì 2025)\, Tanzhaus Zürich\, NOD – Nuova Officina della Danza Torino\nIn collaboration with Centro di Rilevante Interesse Nazionale per la Danza Scenario Pubblico/CZD \nAndrea Costanzo Martini \nAndrea Costanzo Martini is an Italian choreographer and performer\, born and raised in Piedmont. He began his training at Danzicherie in Cuneo and the Teatro Nuovo in Turin\, before continuing his classical dance studies at the Heinz-Bosl-Stiftung Ballet Academy in Munich. At 19 he moved to Germany\, and in 2004 he began his professional career at the Aalto Staats-Theater in Essen. \nIn 2006 he joined the Batsheva Dance Company in Tel Aviv\, where he danced in the works of Ohad Naharin and Sharon Eyal\, also teaching Gaga and developing his first choreographies through the Dancers Create project. He then danced with the Cullberg Ballet (2008–2010)\, performing works by Benoît Lachambre\, Alexander Ekman\, Crystal Pite\, Jefta van Dinther and Tillman O’Donnell\, and created his first piece\, For Men Only. In 2012 he returned to Israel\, joining the company of Inbal Pinto & Avshalom Pollak\, and began to focus on his own choreographic research. \nSince 2013\, Andrea Costanzo Martini has created and performed his works internationally. Among his best-known pieces: What Happened in Torino (2013\, First Prize at the Stuttgart Solo Dance Competition)\, SCARABEO (Aerowaves 2018)\, PayPer Play (2021) and Mood Shifters (2021). His most recent creations include Première (commissioned by the Balletto di Roma)\, Wild Thoughts (for NDCWales)\, Life in Lycra (2023\, awarded at the RIDCC 2024)\, Animal In (2024\, commissioned by Art Project Bora\, South Korea)\, Life in Lycra (winner of two partner awards at the RIDCC 2024)\, Blaubart 2.0 (2025\, commissioned by MIR Dance Company\, Germany)\, DANCEPLAING (2025\, commissioned by Conny Jannsen Danst)\, Pas de Cheval (with Francesca Foscarini – selected for NID 2026 – Turin) and BODYBE (commissioned by VERVE\, Leeds\, 2026). \nHis choreographic language blends extreme physicality with theatrical storytelling\, playing with irony and humour to subvert expectations about contemporary dance. He explores the dynamics of power between performer and spectator\, the desire to capture attention and the risk of objectification. His works blur the boundaries between dance and performance art\, integrating objects\, text\, video and interaction with the audience. \nSince 2007 he has been a certified Gaga teacher and leads workshops all over the world.
