SUMMARY:Wolf / BLISS
DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto dances at the prestigious Athens and Epidaurus Festival. \nWolf/BLISS is the perfect evening to admire the versatility of the 16 dancers of Aterballetto\, the only Italian company to have in its repertoire two of the most intense and acclaimed choreographers on the international scene. \nIn Wolf by Hofesh Shechter we find a sort of wild animality\, which sometimes crosses men and sometimes women. Dragged into a mysterious and engaging universe\, we are invested with a wave of energy that expresses the strength of a dancing tribe. \n\n  \nFrom the foggy atmospheres of Wolf we pass to the light of BLISS\, a masterpiece by Johan Inger to the notes of Keith Jarrett’s Koln Concert. \nBLISS is a dance that emanates happiness and above all life. A joy for the performers\, who surrender to the music without any resistance\, and for the public\, who can admire the maturity and skill of each dancer. \n  \n\n  \nThe Wolf/BLISS evening is part of Tempo Forte\, an important cultural collaboration between Italy and Greece\, created with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute in Athens\, the Italian Embassy in Athens and the MiBAC – General Direction of the Performing Arts. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Bach Project
DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto dances at the Festival Ljubljana Bach Project. \nBach Project proposes an important step in the exploration of the relationship between dance and music\, between classical composition and its contemporary recreation. \nOn stage Sarabande\, a masterpiece by Jiří Kylián\, and Domus Aurea by Diego Tortelli\, promise of Italian choreography that\, on the French Suites by Bach transcribed by Giorgio Colombo Taccani and played live by the Ensemble Sentieri selvaggi\, has created a dreamlike architecture of movement\, involving the visual artist Massimo Uberti. \nBach Project thus allows us to affirm – around a musical dimension – an intergenerational\, open and curious vision of choreographic creation. \nThis production avails itself of the partnership of Torinodanza Festival/Teatro Stabile di Torino – Teatro Nazionale\, Les Halles de Schaerbeek di Bruxelles\, Festival MiTo\, MILANoLTRE Festival and of the collaboration of Teatri di tradizione dell’Emilia-Romagna. \n

SUMMARY:MM Contemporary Dance Company
DESCRIPTION:The MM Contemporary Dance Company dances two great titles of the musical repertoire. Emanuele Soavi‘s Carmen immerses us in the plot made up of subtle relationships and tensions of Bizet’s famous work. Michele Merola confronted the obsessive and repetitive music of Bolero\, staging the variety of moods that circulate around and within the couple’s relationship. \nThe evening is part of Danza at Chiostri\, by the Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto for the billboard of REstate 2019. \n  \n\n  \nCarmen \nCarmen Sweet is an exclusive creation by Emanuele Soavi for the MM Contemporary Dance Company\, conceived taking into account the composer’s original intention to create an opera-comique: this is how Georges Bizet defined his Carmen\, presented in Paris in 1875. \nIn this work\, drawing inspiration from and revisiting the traces of the legendary plot\, the action\, deliberately permeated with irony and sarcasm\, begins in the arena where Carmen\, Micaela\, Frasquita\, Mercédès\, Don José\, Zuniga\, Escamillo give free rein to their emotions. Thus giving space to the strong technical and theatrical virtuosity of the performers on stage\, Soavi plunges us dramaturgically into that plot made up of subtle relationships\, balances and embroideries\, between tension and suspension\, where movements and gestures must be read beyond the apparent elegance that is over the top. All accompanied by the famous notes of Bizet\, sometimes interrupted by the songs of the singing group Los Panchos\, in whose texts antagonism\, jealousy and desire are the omnipresent subjects. \nIn Seville’s Plaza de Toros\, the characters meet for the day of the bullfight. Everyone is waiting for Escamillo\, the Escamillo who believes that Carmen is her own and does not care about the warnings of Mercedes and Frasquita. Covered in dust\, confused in their vices\, the characters\, like a group of histrions\, stage Carmen’s passion in the metaphysical square of the stage. \nSarcastic and bizarre in their gestures and movements\, these comedians try to avoid the perennial clash between Don José and Toreador\, while Micaela\, alone in the shadows\, hides and shows herself\, trying to steal their hearts and their attention in vain. But Don José is soon around. Ignoring her friends’ advice\, Carmen meets him and José begs her to come back with him. José threatens the contemptuous rejections and\, while the crowd applauds Escamillo victorious\, blinded by anger\, José kills Carmen. \nIn this moving fiction\, a story is revealed to the public that can be true and not just imaginary\, made of physical beauty expressed by the bodies of the dancers\, where the narrative of the scenes is marked by the relationships between the senses\, which repeatedly ignite with passion the protagonists on stage. \nChoreography Emanuele Soavi\nMusic Georges Bizet\, Los Panchos\nLighting design Cristina Spelti\nCostume design Alessio Rosati with the collaboration of Nuvia Valestri \nBolero \nBolero (1928) is still one of the best-known and most listened to pieces in the history of music. In creating a new choreographic version of Bolero\, Michele Merola confronted himself with this obsessive and repetitive music\, trying to understand its identity\, reason and function: at the end of this path\, the choreographer’s inspiration focused on the inexhaustible range of human relationships\, in particular those of couples\, within which we often record the reciprocal and irreconcilable distances between men and women\, that “transparent wall” that divides them. Thus\, in the different shades assumed by the dance\, the choreography declines the variety of moods that “circulate” around and within the couple relationship. \nStefano Corrias intervened on this same music\, with the “license” and inventiveness that are the true sign of every artist. As a refined and expert composer\, Corrias has created his own musical score\, freely inspired by the original version of Ravel’s piece. The new score was composed by carefully analyzing the pages of Bolero\, and integrates perfectly with it\, placing itself in three different moments. Within the choreographic writing\, the three fragments underline the most intimate\, and truest\, moments of each of us\, when we are far from the looks of others\, and far from the deafening noise of the world. \nIn Merola’s version\, Bolero is therefore described as a non-history\, fantastic but possible\, however pertinent to the real world. From the allusive initial drum strokes to the final “explosion” of the entire orchestra\, the dance\, in close symbiosis with the music\, conveys a sort of abstract “bitter fairy tale”\, an allegory of the pain of living and misunderstanding between human beings. Thus Bolero becomes a metaphor for our existence\, caught in the double tracks that each of us experiences during our lives\, between contrast and dialogue\, seduction and disillusionment\, surprise and bewilderment. \nChoreography Michele Merola\nMusic Maurice Ravel\, Stefano Corrias\nLight design Cristina Spelti\nCostume design Alessio Rosati with the collaboration of Nuvia Valestri \nINFO&TICKETS \n\n\nTickets\nFull 12 euro\nReduction 9 euro for under 30\, dance schools DanzaRE (Arcadia\, Danzarte\, Eidos Danza\, Let’s Dance\, Progetto Danza)\, Liceo Coreutico Matilde di Canossa\, over 65\nReduction 3 euro for under 8 \nInfo\, reservations and tickets withdrawing\ntel. +39 0522 273011\ncell. and whatsapp +39 3341023554\nemail info@aterballetto.it \nReserved tickets must be collected by Friday\, July 19th at the ticket office of the Fonderia\, in via della Costituzione 39.\nUncollected tickets will be resold. \nPurchase at ticket office\nFonderia\, headquarters of Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto\, via della Costituzione 39\, Reggio Emilia\nMonday and Friday from 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.\nTuesday\, Wednesday and Thursday from 3.00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. \nChiostri di San Pietro\, via Emilia San Pietro 44\, Reggio Emilia\nOnly Sunday 21 and Tuesday 23 July from 7.30 p.m. \nOnline purchase\nwww.biglietteriafonderia39.it \nTickets purchased online can be collected at the ticket office of the Fonderia in via della Costituzione 39\, during opening hours\, or on the evening of the shows (Sunday 21st and Tuesday 23rd July) at the ticket office of the Chiostri di San Pietro in via Emilia San Pietro 44\, from 7.30 p.m. \n\n\n\n  \n

SUMMARY:Abiectio - "O" - BLISS
DESCRIPTION:The Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto closes its 2018-2019 season in the renovated Chiostri di San Pietro in Reggio Emilia. \nAbiectio by Damiano Artale is an engaging duet on the notes of the Passion of Bach and the Requiem Pies Jesus by Fauré. Followed by “O” by Philippe Kratz\, choreography from the unstoppable rhythm awarded at the prestigious competition in Hanover 2018. BLISS\, a masterpiece by Johan Inger to the notes of Keith Jarrett’s Koln Concert\, is a dance that emanates happiness and above all life. A joy for the performers\, who surrender to the music without any resistance\, and for the public\, who can admire the maturity and skill of each dancer. \n  \n \n  \nAbiectio \nWhen violence bathes the soul of a human being\, we celebrate the failure of communication\, also the funeral of education. Frightened and disoriented\, an injured individual looks at himself in the mirror with degrading mortification and responds to the outside world by attacking. Every man\, however\, in possession of that particular gift called empathy\, places himself immediately and positively in the condition of \nChoreography Damiano Artale\nMusic Johann Sebastian Bach and Gabriel Faurè\nCostume design Francesca Messori\nLighting design Carlo Cerri\nDancers Damiano Artale and Arianna Kob \n''O'' \nThe idea at the base of “O” is eternity and how attaining it is humanity’s ultimate goal. As in the summer of 2017 in Hong Kong for the very first time two humanoid robots vocally interacted with one another it became clear to anyone watching that a future\, in which accumulated human knowledge is passed on by communicating inorganic material\, is within reach. Therefore “O” can be seen as two human beings or two robots celebrating in a state of transcendence and emotional fulfilment\, both moving to the never-ending beat of their unstoppable hearts.\nAnd as the spaceship computer Hal in Stanley Kubrick’s movie ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ puts it: “I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently\, but I can give you my complete assurance that my work will be back to normal. I’ve still got the greatest enthusiasm and confidence in the mission. DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto presents the world premiere of the new triple bill Dreamers\, composed of cloud|materia by Philippe Kratz\, Traces by Rihoko Sato and Secus by Ohad Naharin. \nDreamers offers a unique opportunity to admire the company through shades of contrast\, from the rational physicality of Philippe Kratz\, Aterballetto choreographer and dancer\, to the sophisticated\, ethereal style of Japanese Rihoko Sato\, the muse and favorite performer of Saburo Teshigawara\, to vigorous rituality of Ohad Naharin\, the choreographer from Batsheva Dance Company. \nAll this is possible thanks to this international co-production that relates us to Festival Oriente Occidente in Rovereto\, Les Halles de Schaerbeek in Brussels\, Malraux scène nationale Chambéry Savoie in France and\, for the creation cloud|materia by Philippe Kratz\, Bayer Culture Engagement in Leverkusen. \n  \n\n  \n\n  \n\n

SUMMARY:Compagnia Artemis Danza
\nCOMPAGNIA ARTEMIS DANZA \nOriginally from Ferrara\, Monica Casadei graduates in philosophy cum laude writing a dissertation on dance in Plato’s system. After a career as a professional acrobatic gymnast\, she takes to studying classic and modern dance\, at first in Italy\, then in London\, and eventually in Paris where she gets to meet choreographers Pierre Doussaint and Isabelle Doubouloz and the Master André Cognard Hanshi So shihan\, with whom she still practices the martial art of Aikido. \nIn France\, she founds the company Artemis Danza\, with which she later moves to Italy\, in 1997\, giving birth to a fervent production activity that amounts\, nowadays\, to over 40 original creations. \nFrom 1998 to 2007\, the Company is part of an artist residency at Fondazione Teatro Due in Parma whereas\, from 2014 up to this day\, it partakes in an artist residency at Teatro Comunale in Bologna. Artemis Danza has been invited to the most important Italian theatres and festivals and to several international tours and festivals. \nPivotal elements in Monica Casadei’ s artistic research are the influences from different artistic\, cultural and geographic fields and the exploration of urban spaces and places that turn into stages for performances. \nAlongside the production activity\, Artemis funds\, produces and promotes young choreographers and organizes several activities meant to artistically educate the audience. \nartemisdanza.com \n\n

DESCRIPTION:IL BARBIERE DI SIVIGLIA_BALLETTO D’AZIONE\nUno\, dieci\, cento Figaro in azione. \n  \nCrediti \nChoreography\, set and lighting design Monica Casadei\nMusic Gioachino Rossini\nSound design and original songs Luca Vianini\nCostume design Daniela Usai\nAssistant to musical dramaturgy and costumes Davide Tagliavini\nAssistants to the choreographer Antonio Bissiri\, Vittorio Colella\, Teresa Morisano \nProduction Compagnia Artemis Danza in collaboration with AMAT and Municipality of Pesaro\nCo-production Italian Festival in Bangkok\, Festival Orizzonti\, Armonie d’Arte Festival\nin collaboration with Rossini Opera Festival and Teatro Comunale di Bologna\nThanks to A.N.G.E.L.O. Vintage Palace\nWith the contribution of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities\, Emilia-Romagna Region Department of Culture \nInsights \nOn the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the death of Gioachino Rossini\, Monica Casadei\, with the Compagnia Artemis Danza\, faces one of the most famous titles of the maestro from Pesaro\, “Il Barbiere di Siviglia”\, with a choreographic interpretation that debuted in Pesaro\, in the historic Teatro Rossini\, in collaboration with AMAT – Associazione Marchigiana Attività Teatrali and Comune di Pesaro. \nA show that Monica Casadei imagined as a futuristic “action ballet” and that\, as usual\, involves in a contamination of languages all the creative body of Artemis\, which is enriched by the costumes made by visual artist Daniela Usai and the musical elaborations of the composer Luca Vianini\, who compares with Rossini. \nBut who is really Figaro? In Monica Casadei’s reading Figaro is the prototype of the successful man in today’s world. The Rossini hero becomes the emblem of those who succeed in satisfying with effectiveness\, vivacity and savoir faire the expectations of a society that imposes every day to reach its goals optimizing time and energy. \nOn the choreographic level\, Figaro’s character multiplies in the bodies of the entire company\, where\, without gender distinctions\, the performers act with the determination\, energy and rigour of a special team: toned\, gritty and hyper-concentrated\, their dance manipulates time and space without respite\, continuously weaves and loosens an infinite network of changes of direction\, intersections of trajectories and inlays of movements. As if they were following the routes of crowded and noisy highways\, the dancers unravel with lucidity and martial energy\, wise gears of the crazy mechanism of social living. \nThe result is an action performance\, characterized by an atmosphere suspended between a past shadow and a flashing and frenetic present: the unreachable image of a perfect man appears and disappears under the eyes of the public to multiply in the dancers and their technical virtuosities. \nThe historical costumes are the result of a collaboration with the Rossini Opera Festival and the Teatro Comunale of Bologna\, while the tailored dresses were made in collaboration with A.N.G.E.L.O Vintage Palace (Lugo di Romagna)\, reference pole of vintage in Italy.\nThe show was co-produced by the Italian Festival in Thailand in Bangkok\, the Orizzonti Festival in Chiusi and the Armonie d’Arte Festival in Borgia. SUMMARY:DANCEHAUSPIù / CZD / ATERBALLETTO
\n  \nI WANDERED LONELY AS A CLOUD \nChoreography Matteo Bittante\nMusic various authors\nDancers Fabio Calvisi\, Alice Carrino\, Giovanni Leone\nProduction DanceHauspiù \n“I wandered lonely like a cloud” is the beginning of one of the most famous poems of English romanticism written at the beginning of the nineteenth century by William Wordsworth. In this new creation by choreographer Matteo Bittante\, co-director and resident artist of the National Centre for Dance Production\, DANCEHAUSpiù\, the poet’s verses form the backdrop to the bucolic and wandering rite of the three dancers in which the vital force and idyllic quiet of nature contrast with the upheavals and confusion of the city. In the poetry\, as in the show\, the real protagonists are not the men but the elements of nature such as the lake\, the narcissus or the clouds with which the bodies of the dancers try a possible metamorphosis. \nNotes of the choreographer\nI lived my childhood on a hill\, in the middle of nature\, running from one meadow to another\, climbing the trees\, I was always in constant contact\, almost symbiotic with her.\nSince ancient times\, the countryside and rural life have served as a source of inspiration for many artists.\nAn idyllic place of escape\, a refuge from the duties of life\, once for the exploration of the self.\nA landscape of the soul\, today to be defended and protected against the ideologies of an era that contaminate and desertify Mother Earth. \nMatteo Bittante \n \nx2 \nPremiere \nChoreography Roberto Zappalà\nMusic Johann Sebastian Bach\nDancers Maud de la Purification\, Roberto Provenzano\nCostume and lighting design Roberto Zappalà\nCostume realization Debora Privitera\nTechnical director Sammy Torrisi\nProduction Scenario Pubblico / Compagnia Zappalà Danza \nThis short episode begins the act of artistic love that Roberto Zappalà wants to dedicate to great composer Johann Sebastian Bach. No dramaturgy\, no intellectual reasoning\, just a close relationship between music and dance. On the other hand Zappalà has made Charles Baudelaire’s thought his own: “Glorifying the cult of image and aesthetics is my goal even before its meaning”. \nThe creation represents one of the phases of a path divided into three different moments/episodes: x2\, x4\, which are also the respective numbers of dancers on stage\, while the third episode will be a creation for the entire Company and will see its debut in autumn 2020. The final project will be inspired by the different versions that have been created and “remade” over time. \n''O'' \nChoreography Philippe Kratz\nMusic Mark Pritchard and The Field\nCostume design Francesca Messori\nLighting design Carlo Cerri\nDancers Philippe Kratz and Ivana Mastroviti\nProduction Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto \nFirst prize at the 32nd Choreographic Competition in Hanover – June 2018\nPhilippe Kratz is a member of the stARTacademy of Bayer Arts & Culture. \nThe idea at the base of “O” is eternity and how attaining it is humanity’s ultimate goal. As in the summer of 2017 in Hong Kong for the very first time two humanoid robots vocally interacted with one another it became clear to anyone watching that a future\, in which accumulated human knowledge is passed on by communicating inorganic material\, is within reach. \nTherefore “O” can be seen as two human beings or two robots celebrating in a state of transcendence and emotional fulfilment\, both moving to the never-ending beat of their unstoppable hearts.\nAnd as the spaceship computer Hal in Stanley Kubrick’s movie ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ puts it: “I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently\, but I can give you my complete assurance that my work will be back to normal. I’ve still got the greatest enthusiasm and confidence in the mission. And I want to help you.” \n\n  \n  \n\n  \n

SUMMARY:ATERBALLETTO
DESCRIPTION:The Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto has been giving for years the opportunity to enter the daily routine of dancers and choreographers. Open rehearsals are unique moments in which it is possible to experience the backstage of a show\, to dialogue with the artists and to be surprised by the art of dance. \nIn order to ensure greater artistic flexibility to the company\, we can not define the exact program of open rehearsals of Aterballetto. A few days before the open rehearsal we will give you more information on our website and on the social networks.

DESCRIPTION:CONVERGENZE\nConvergenze si configura in un astratto quanto coinvolgente ed energetico rapporto tra la musica elettronica ed il suolo\, la luce ed il ritmo\, la potenza e la gioia della dinamica. \n  \nCredits \nDancers E.sperimenti Dance Company\nChoreographies Federica Galimberti\nMusic AVV ed elaborazioni elettroniche\nCostumes Noemi Intino\nLight design EDC \nProduction by gruppodanzaoggi di Patrizia Salvatori \nInsights \nLight and shadow\, shadow and light … the alternation of them is marked by the life of the human being\, always: an ancestral rhythm that awakens the atavistic animal within each of us and rediscovers the overwhelming strength of the male in harmony with nature\, in its fragility before the greatness of it. \nCONVERGENZE highlights the division of the human soul between reason and instinct found in tribality\, in the rediscovery of the roots inherent in the rhythm of the ‘earth’\, as in the flight of the free animal\, beautiful of a pure beauty because naturally wild\, in harmony with Nature.\nInteresting is the creation by Federica Galimberti\, who writes a very personal language\, pulsating\, new\, contaminated in the charm of light and darkness.\nThe interaction with space develops in an abstract and visionary way from which pure forms of light that divide and reflect\, composing spaces in the imagination of the viewer come to life. \nA primordial rhythm that materializes in a physical dance\, on the ground\, in the extreme challenge of themselves and the other in an abstract yet engaging and energetic relationship between electronic music and the ground\, light and rhythm\, the power of male dance and the joy of dynamics. A conscious and precise choice that the choreographer makes to configure this theme with an all-male ensemble\, of great scenic impact\, but also capable of expressing the infinite fragility in front of the immense. And the representation of themes so ancient\, yet so contemporary\, fascinates giving life to a very convincing piece. \n  \n \nE.sperimenti Dance Company \nE.espimenti gdo Dance Company\, the leading company of GDO\, is a sparkling ensemble with the most diverse dynamics and styles ranging from breakin’ to contemporary\, from modern to floorwork\, from dance theatre to acrobatics. It expresses a contaminated\, engaging\, ingenious language ready to ‘smile’ in all its artistic expression. \nThe components are performers of different backgrounds and experiences that maintain their individuality\, but they are one when they work together. This effervescent Italian excellence ‘under 35’\, generous and innovative artistically conveys the ‘made in Italy’ across the border with honor. \nIn the last five years its performers have been present abroad for the Year of Italian Culture in Brazil\, the United States\, Russia and again in Thailand\, Jordan\, Palestine as well as\, in 2012\, at the EXPO in Yeosu for the Ceremony of handover in Milan 2015. \nA precious alchemy distinguishes each performance of this particular Company that with ease and talent contaminates techniques and languages\, appropriating them to generate its own\, convincing\, ‘true’ and thus draws a new stylistic geography\, which expresses its moments of experimentation\, research\, creation\, with theatricality and extreme attention to convey the message with refinement\, good taste\, genius and especially the inevitable irony that characterizes them in the drama. \nAn intelligent and convincing design operation that attracts and retains the public. \nwww.esperimentidancecompany.com \n  \n\n

SUMMARY:Wolf - Secus
DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto dances at the Teatro Rossini in Pesaro an evening that combines the choreographies of Hofesh Shechter and Ohad Naharin. \nHofesh Shechter is one of the most intense and visceral contemporary choreographers. Perhaps because the music is almost always composed by himself and is closely in tune with the energy of his movement. The result is a punch\, as he himself says\, a punch with which the viewer is hit by a wave of energy. In Wolf  we find a sort of wild animality that crosses sometimes men and sometimes women. The painting that is composed drags us into a mysterious and engaging universe. \n\n  \nSecus is a creation by Ohad Naharin that boasts a musical collage that extends from the unusual electronic styles of AGF to the seductive Indian melodies of Kaho Naa Pyar Hai to the resonant harmonies of the Beach Boys. This adventurously eclectic mix serves as a suitable backdrop for the boldly extravagant choreography. Under our unbelieving eyes\, we compose a human alphabet made up of races\, solos\, clear and clean gestures\, interrupted duets\, which\, through precise and sudden kicks\, sinuous disarticulations of the hips\, torsos that bend in all directions like rubber to be shaped\, expresses pure emotions and feelings without becoming sentimental. Joy\, vulnerability\, fear\, innocence\, confusion and anger weave a harmonious and dynamic canvas that oscillates between delicacy and exaggeration. \n  \n\n

\n  \nDéjà Donné \nThe contemporary dance company Déjà Donné was founded in 1997 in Prague; in 2000 the head office moved to Umbria where an intense activity of creation and circulation of shows began\, both in Italy and abroad. During the year 2015 a transformation takes place that starts a new path of the company\, imagined by the artistic direction of Virginia Spallarossa and Gilles Toutevoix. \nTheir work intends to guide Déjà Donné towards new potentialities\, contributing to a deep renewal of sign and languages through the creation of their own shows. \nThe main activities of Déjà Donné include: creation and production of contemporary dance performances and shows; regional\, national and international distribution of the works produced; training activities for professionals and non-professionals; creation of projects aimed at promoting contemporary dance and training the public through the involvement of other artistic subjects\, in Italy and abroad. \nThe company’s works have been presented in 26 countries\, in North and South America\, in Asia and in Europe.\nDéjà Donné’s activity is supported by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and the Umbria Region. \nwww.dejadonne.com \nINC InNprogressCollective \nThe group was founded in 2006 following the creation of “HEIM”\, which will be the only overall winner of the International Dance Week in Spoleto\, attracting the interest of many professionals. The choreography Heim will be hosted in the largest Italian festivals\, including Amores (Bologna)\, Cross Roads (Florence)\, Giffoni Film Festival (Giffoni)\, Notte Bianca (Rome)\, Fringe Festival (Spoleto).\nHence the idea of creating a stable group of young artists\, promoters of new forms of contemporary street art\, urban dances and trends. \nProduction will follow: Departure (2007)\, Underskin (2008 – winner of the International Dance Week in Spoleto)\, Protest! (2009-2010 – winner of S.I.D. Spoleto\, LatinArte\, UISP prize\, Positano Leonide Massine prize)\, Oceania (2012 – in production with La- MaMa Umbria\, presented at LaMaMa Moves Festival at Ellen Stewart Theater in New York). \nIn 2015 the toPRAY production debuts at the 58th edition of the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto. Director Giuseppe Tornatore chooses the INC company for a dance scene from his film “La Corrispondenza”\, which will be released in cinemas in January 2016. \nCharacterized by a surprising young age and a strong artistic fellowship\, they are the supporters of an alliance\, where talents and skills are shared\, mixed and recomposed towards collective goals. The constant T is a transcendent number. toPRAY does not speak of the constant T\, but tells of the point of view from which one observes. toPRAY is a corridor: sometimes to reach the human soul the path is long and narrow. Other times contemporary man does not find the time to choose complex roads\, to cross them the time he takes corresponds to the constant T. We cross the symbols that in history we have attributed to what we cannot see\, to give life a different value\, to recognize beyond the FORM a different level. \nWhat does it mean to ‘pray’? We look for an answer in each ACTION. Perhaps acting itself is an act of worship: contemporary man acts on the body\, drawing a cult from it. We always look for an answer\, asking ourselves if in the end we are a soul that possesses a body. If what we have most sacred is the imagination through which we will be able to identify the soul in the course of life. \ntoPRAY is a show in which urban dances are mixed with contemporary gestures\, producing a dance out of the box\, out of time. The choreographic writing draws from multicultural calligraphy\, resulting in a universal language: like the story of the soul of man. toPRAY is a human path built and lived with ups and downs\, similar to the path of growth of a man. We dancers were asked more questions\, to which we answered with gestures and movements; they were questions that contained complex\, personal concepts. But in addition to the intense emotional value of personal moments\, in the beginning\, there is a particular intimacy between us dancers on stage and the choreographer\, in moments of extreme choreographic rigor\, which is characterized by the show throughout its duration. Afshin Varjavandi’s productions dance and together with him they invent creations\, styling and concepts for performances\, installations and videos.\nFrom 2017 a collaboration with Déjà Donné was started as an associated production project. \nwww.innprogresscollective.com \n\n
