SUMMARY:THE DAY WHEN I CHOSE TO BE A DAUGHTER
DESCRIPTION:DaCru – The day when I chose to be a daughter – ph. Sara Meliti \nThe Dacru Dance Company returns to the Fonderia with its latest performance The day when I chose to be a daughter. \nDancers with a highly virtuosic technique\, performers with a communicative directness\, they have the talent to transform urban dance into a real theatrical tale. \n\nCredits \nConcept and direction: Marisa Ragazzo\nChoreographies: Marisa Ragazzo and Omid Ighani\nBy and with Elda Bartolacci\, Davide Angelozzi\, Alessandra Ruggeri\nMusiche: Jocelyn Pook \, Julia Kent\, David Lang\, The Books\, Max Richter \, Nils Frahm \nProduction: Compagnia Naturalis Labor\nCo-production: Festival Abano Danza 2022\nWith the support ofMic / Regione Veneto / Comune di Vicenza\nIn partnership with DanceLab / Latina \nThe day when I chose to be a daughter \nThree dancers investigate the state of sonship. A profound and poetic analysis\, steeped in secret visions\, that answers one main question: does being a child last a lifetime?… and from others that follow spontaneously… does this privileged state of sonship persist even when the point that formally grants it disappear?… without parents\, is one still a child? Does the state of sonship change when one becomes a mother or a father? \nThe company’s new production stems from the choreographer’s involved and individual vision of the theme\, which becomes collective through meetings and discussions with the dancers.\nIt has been a long and complex work of reflection on the state of sonship that we stage\, a search through the specific memories of each of us\, choreographers and dancers. Memories written down\, detailed\, shared\, made narrative and almost always referring above all to the mother\, in whom we danced for months immersed in her vital paste. \nDaCru – The day when I chose to be a daughter – ph. Sara Meliti \nWe began the creative process related to the project ‘THE DAY WHEN I CHOSE TO BE A DAUGHTER’ by taking time for everything\, talking at length\, sharing memories and emotional states… four children reflecting on the state of sonship. No mother\, no father\, only sons. Much has been written about motherhood and fatherhood\, extensive and articulate narratives\, but about the state of sonship\, very little. What is the state of sonship? The first of many questions that drives us to an active sharing: we would like to dialogue with other sons in order to arrive at a more extensive and in-depth narrative by interweaving a silent dialogue with the audience\, prompting everyone to undertake a process to recover memories and small stories hidden in the secret places of the mind. \nMarisa Ragazzo and Omid Ighani \nBoth in love with extreme experimentation and the contamination of styles and languages\, they create an unusual choreographic dimension while remaining absolutely attainable. They love speed\, technical virtuosity\, and the fusion of the theatrical space with the artistic code of the street\, from which they draw their drives towards art in its various aspects\, which often leads them to collaborate with underground musicians and visual artists. \nTheir primary goal remains to break out of conventional spaces through originality\, invention\, innovation and research. \nIn 1996\, Marisa Ragazzo and Omid Ighani opened two professional hip hop training schools\, still active today\, in Lazio and Sardinia\, to which they added\, over the years\, another 8 locations shared in organisation with Cruisin Arts (MC Hip Hop School: Milan\, Verona\, Jesi\, Florence\, Rome\, Bari\, Catania\, Cagliari)\, and a specialisation school for Video Dance and House (Cruisin’ Urban Dance Hdemy: Modena and Rome). \nIn addition to professional training schools\, they carry out an intense teaching activity\, in Italy and abroad. \nInfo & Tickets \nTICKETS\nFull price: 10 euro\nReduced for under 30\, dance schools\, Liceo Coreutico Matilde di Canossa\, over 65\, CRAL members Municipality of Reggio Emilia: 6 euro\nReduced price under 8: 3 euro \nPURCHASING TICKETS \nTickets can be purchased online on www.biglietteriafonderia39.it. \nThe ticket office service at the Fonderia is open from 7.30 pm. \nTickets are not numbered. \nCONTACTS \nMobile and whatsapp 3341023554 \nEmail biglietteria@aterballetto.it

SUMMARY:Italia Danza - Stockholm
DESCRIPTION:From November 28 to December 12\, 2023\, dance meets cultural diplomacy and travels with Italia Danza: the new project by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (Maeci)\, curated by CCN/Aterballetto. \nRealized through the General Directorate for Public and Cultural Diplomacy\, the project unfolds in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institutes\, with the support of the Emilia-Romagna Region and the City of Reggio Emilia. The objective of Italia Danza is simple: to enhance the Italian Cultural Institutes\, places that remarkably represent cultural diplomacy worldwide\, by bringing some creations from the only National Choreographic Center in our country: CCN/Aterballetto. It’s a cosmopolitan project entrusted to the universal language of the body\, which CCN/Aterballetto interprets with its rich heritage of site-specific creations. \n\n“Italia Danza\, which we will host on December 7th at the Italian Cultural Institute in Stockholm\, transforms the idea of choreography starting from the relationship with the spaces in which they are presented. In Aterballetto’s MicroDanze\, space is no longer just a place of consumption but becomes part of the choreography itself\, allowing a different interaction between the audience and the performers. The project is particularly significant for our venue\, designed by Gio Ponti and Pier Luigi Nervi. The dancers will guide the Stockholm audience through an evocative journey that will reinterpret the spaces envisioned by the great Milanese architect.” \nFrancesco Di Lella\nDirector Italian Cultural Institute in Stockholm \n  \n7 DECEMBER – H 18:00 \nItalian Cultural Institute in Stockholm\nGärdesgatan 14\, 115 27\, Stockholm \nMICRODANZE \nEppur si muove\nby Francesca Lattuada \nNear Life Experience\nby Angelin Preljocaj \nA Gig\nby Diego Tortelli \nAn echo\, a wave\nby Philippe Kratz \nDuration 60′

It’s a cosmopolitan project entrusted to the universal language of the body\, which CCN/Aterballetto interprets with its rich heritage of site-specific creations. \n\n“We are very proud to host in Dakar the final stage of the international tour of Italy Dance\, promoted by the General Directorate for Public and Cultural Diplomacy. It will be a unique opportunity to connect the “dakarois” audience with one of the excellences of Italian contemporary dance. Dance is a very popular language in Senegal\, strongly rooted in tradition\, with important figures recognized internationally such as Germaine Acogny\, founder of the École des Sables and Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the 2021 Dance Biennale. With Aterballetto\, we bring to Dakar a different vision\, an aesthetic linked to movement that is very refined and technically complex\, grounded in our academic tradition but looking to the present. It will be interesting to see the audience’s reaction\, especially in this format that involves close engagement and therefore a high degree of emotional involvement for the spectator.” \nSerena Cinquegrana\nDirector of the Italian Cultural Institute in Dakar \nDECEMBER 12 – 5:00 PM / 6:00 PM \nMusée Théodore Monod d’art africain – IFAN (Institut Fondamental d’Afrique Noire Cheikh Anta Diop)\n1\, Place Soweto\, BP 206\, Dakar\, Sénégal \nMICRODANCES \nActive Motivation\nby Elena Kekkou \nAnd yet it moves\nby Francesca Lattuada \nNear Life Experience\nby Angelin Preljocaj \nA Gig\nby Diego Tortelli \nDuration 60 minutes

SUMMARY:MICRODANCES
DESCRIPTION:From December 16th to 22nd\, the MicroDances are on stage at the Domus dei Tappeti di Pietra in Ravenna\, an archaeological site located in the undergrounds of the late Baroque church of Sant’Eufemia and considered by many as one of the most important discoveries in Italy in recent decades. The area features a prestigious complex of residential houses dating back to the 1st and 6th centuries AD\, enriched by “stone carpets”: marble and mosaic floors of high aesthetic and decorative value. The spaces of the Domus will host two works by Diego Tortelli – Yes\, Yes… and A Gig – as part of the program of the Ravenna Festival 2023. The stage for the two MicroDances is the large reception hall\, which contains the mosaic representation of the dancing seasons to the sound of the musician Pan: a play of refined geometries and inserts that meets the contemporary gestures of choreographer Diego Tortelli. \n“The MicroDances project at the Domus dei Tappeti di Pietra marks a very interesting cultural operation that puts together a collaboration capable of involving at the same time one of the most fascinating sites of our historical and cultural heritage and the high artistic projectuality put in place by the Ravenna Festival\, of which the Autumn Trilogy is one of the highest and internationally recognized expressions. The Domus dei Tappeti di Pietra\, a place that guards the roots of the great Ravenna history of mosaic\, thus becomes a stage for a dance project aimed precisely at the dialogue between the arts. The MicroDances project arrives in Ravenna after prestigious debuts in the major European museums. It is not just about a virtuous collaboration between institutions\, but about a new paradigm that sees in the dialogue between different communicative codes an opportunity for multiplied fruition through an extraordinary immersive experience.” Fabio Sbaraglia – Councilor for Culture of Ravenna \nYes\, Yes… \nA creation that in a few minutes seeks to capture the atmosphere of the Silver Factory created by Andy Warhol in 1962: a place that has entered the collective imagination as a meeting point for artists and a hub of innovation and development of pop culture. The music for Yes\, Yes… is composed by artists Dean and Britta for Andy Warhol’s film Most Beautiful. The guitar sounds and the rock references to the 1970s remind us of the rhythms of the rock band Velvet Underground\, whose album was produced right at the Silver Factory. \n\n  \nA Gig \nA Gig is an opening or closing number. Something brief that serves to warm up the audience or bid goodnight to those who came to see us. In rock slang\, it’s often performed by the headlining group of an event. It’s not a full concert\, but a short performance that aims to capture the style\, vibes\, and intensity of the band in just a few minutes. In this new MicroDance\, I want to use the two dancers to engage closely with the audience’s gaze\, as if it were a little surprise in a context where a performance was unexpected. With the sound of the music\, the two dancers move over a text that says “easy\,” becoming themselves broken voices and glamorous seduction instruments. \n\n  \nPROGRAM AND HOURS \nSaturday\, December 16th\nA Gig – Performance times: 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM \nSunday\, December 17th\nYes\, Yes… – Performance times: 12:00 PM and 12:30 PM \nTuesday\, December 19th\nYes\, Yes… – Performance times: 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM \nWednesday\, December 20th\nYes\, Yes… – Performance times: 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM \nFriday\, December 22nd\nYes\, Yes… – Performance times: 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM \nTHE ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE \nBetween 1993 and 1994\, the Superintendence for Archaeological Heritage of Emilia Romagna\, interrupting the works for the construction of an underground parking lot\, unearthed near Via D’Azeglio a complex of building structures dating back to the Republican Roman period and the Byzantine period. \nIn particular\, what stood out among the archaeological stratigraphy was a complex of about 700 square meters consisting of 14 rooms and 2 courtyards dating to the 6th century AD\, surely belonging to an affluent family of the city given the splendor of the materials found concurrently. \nElevated walkways allow visitors to walk around the entire perimeter of the archaeological site and admire up close the wonderful floor mosaics that characterize it. In particular\, during the process of musealization\, priority was given to showcasing the phases of the rich Byzantine residence\, in which the amalgamation of two different buildings is now clearly visible\, originally separated by a Roman road of which part of the pavement is still visible. \nAll the rooms of the building were floored with marble tarsia or polychrome tesserae with refined geometries and figurative inserts. Among these\, the large reception hall stands out\, at the center of which is the mosaic depiction of the dancing seasons in a circle to the sound of the musician Pan. Autumn\, Spring on the left\, Winter covered by a hood can be recognized\, and finally a hint of Summer can be inferred\, a decoration unfortunately lost. \nINFO AND TICKETS \nMicroDanze admission included in the entrance ticket to the Domus dei Tappeti di Pietra: Full price €6\, reduced price €5 \nFree admission for holders of the Trilogia d’Autunno 2023 ticket (also valid for free admission to the Museo Classis Ravenna until January 7\, 2024) \nInformation: tel. 0544 32512 or at the ticket office of the Domus dei Tappeti di Pietra\, via Barbiani www.ravennantica.it \n

SUMMARY:Darwin
DESCRIPTION:Darwin – M/eta/morfosi is a dance and theater show for children and families on the theme of growth and transformation\, which elicits more than just a smile from the audience.\n \nThe authors Christian Pellino and Francesco Marchi are associated artists of the Artemis Danza Company / Monica Casadei. \n[Watch the video here](https://vimeo.com/887649437) \n\nCredits \nBy and with Francesco Marchi and Christian Pellino\nDirection and dramaturgy: Francesco Marchi\nChoreographies: Christian Pellino\nRunning time: 50′ \nRecommended for an audience of 8 to 14 years of age \nA co-production Artemis Danza and Europa Teatri\nWith the support Mic\, Regione Emilia Romagna Assessorato alla Cultura\, Comune di Parma \nDarwin \nLike the caterpillar transforms and becomes a butterfly through a biological cycle called metamorphosis\, so does man go through multiple phases before undergoing evolution. From single-celled organisms to Homo Sapiens\, from newborn to adult\, everything evolves in continuous pursuit of perfection… but something went wrong! The planet is in danger\, and humanity is certainly not without flaws. Thus\, an eccentric scientist tries to tell us what\, for better or for worse\, has happened to humanity and Earth from the Big Bang to today. To help him in this endeavor\, a multifaceted and constantly changing character\, who communicates not with words but with body and movement\, will embody the different phases of this crazy metamorphosis. A synergy between dance and prose theater\, expressive gestures\, and words that accompanies young people on a fun and educational journey where fantasy\, science\, and creativity meet. \nDarwin – M/eta/morfosi arises from the need to try to bring the younger audience closer to the world of dance theater\, often perceived as distant from the new generations and therefore difficult to understand. Through a path that involves meetings with schools\, teacher training\, and stage representation\, Darwin – M/eta/morfosi will attempt to explore the concept of transformation by combining the language of dance\, curated by choreographer Christian Pellino\, with the word and gesture of prose theater by actor Francesco Marchi. The goal is to introduce young people to a new language\, facilitating their understanding and involving them in a journey of genre exploration while\, simultaneously\, allowing them to develop personal reflections on the theme of growth and transformation. \nInfo & Tickets \nTICKETS\nFull price: 6 euro \nPURCHASING TICKETS \nTickets can be purchased online on www.biglietteriafonderia39.it. \nThe ticket office service at the Fonderia is open from 5.00 pm. \nTickets are not numbered. \nCONTACTS \nMobile and whatsapp 3341023554 \nEmail biglietteria@aterballetto.it

SUMMARY:Made in Italy 30.0
DESCRIPTION:  \n\n“`html\n  \nThe performance will take place on December 22nd with two showings:\n1st showing: 6:00 PM\n2nd showing: 9:00 PM \n  \nThe protagonists of the evening are the dancers of Agora Coaching Project\, a high-level training project promoted and supported by MM Contemporary Dance Company and A.S.D Progetto Danza of Reggio Emilia under the artistic direction of Michele Merola and Enrico Morelli. Started in 2010\, the course is gaining full recognition in the European dance world and boasts collaborations with internationally renowned teachers and choreographers. \nB.7 SYMPHONY by Emanuele Soavi\nThe tireless drive of Beethoven towards artistic renewal and his dissected and even visionary vision of the social and political movements of his time give his work an inexhaustible energy\, like a continuous flow\, just like the flood in nature when it changes the shape of the landscape and living conditions. This idea of constant change\, of juxtaposition of opposites\, of interaction\, of exchange\, of shared emotions and experiences is essentially the starting point for this choreographic composition. Both the stage itself and the protagonists who inhabit it with their movements\, which continually take on a new form in each of the individual parts\, create abstract images that consciously and unconsciously define the idea of a multiform self\, which lives today in a modern society that is in a state of continuous upheaval and change. \nGERSHWIN SUITE by Michele Merola\nIn the notes of George Gershwin (1898-1937)\, one of the most representative musicians of the 20th century\, reflects the spirit of the time in which they are created\, the moods and atmospheres of the Roaring Twenties. Starting from the best pieces of the composer\, and from the suggestions of the pictorial works of another great American artist of the ‘900\, Edward Hopper (1882-1967)\, Michele Merola has created Gershwin Suite. On stage\, a lot of variety takes on the ways of a movie set\, thanks also to a constantly changing set design\, just like on a set\, and a choreography that touches more keys\, the work of a choreographer capable of declining his creativity and his talent in step with the times of contemporaneity. \n PERFORMERS \n6:00 PM\nCorrado Azzollini\, Jasmine Begici\, Elisa Bocconi\, Laura Dell’Agnese\, Sara Ferrentino\, Nicole Forni\, Giulia Lusetti\, Lucrezia Maggiore\, Maya Maselli\, Carlotta Maucioni\, Martina Procacci\, Federico Musumec\, Filippo Penco\, Jada Piccinini\, Susanna Russing\, Gennaro Todisco\, Gaia Camilla\, Zorrilla Leonini. \n9:00 PM\nChiara Barril\, Jacopo Bellan\, Giulia Boccarossa\, Giovanni Karol Borriello\, Salvatore Bruno\, Lucrezia Capuzzell\, Anna Dal Maso\, Vittoria Facci\, Chiara Gionti\, Aurora Lattanzi\, Luna Lefebvre\, Gioele Marcante\, Laura Miotti\, Martina Pagliari\, Alessia Russo\, Diletta Suman.\n“` \nAGORA COACHING PROJECT \nAgora Coaching Project is an annual dance training program aimed at dancers aged between 18 and 22 years old\, based in Reggio Emilia. Established in 2010\, it is directed by Michele Merola and Enrico Morelli\, and is promoted and supported by MM Contemporary Dance Company and Centro Permanente Danza of Reggio Emilia. Its goal is to train artists ready to face the variety of the international dance market in a flexible manner\, capable of responding to requests of different nature\, both technical and stylistic\, coming from this same market. The project aims to offer a wide range of stimuli\, including technical\, cultural\, and exchange opportunities between students and choreographers\, each of whom comes from different and interesting backgrounds in the international dance scene. Agora allows students to meet established choreographers with different stylistic orientations\, and over the years has seen the participation of many illustrious names. Michele Merola and Enrico Morelli collaborate with various teachers\, each of whom has proven and qualified experience in the field\, to realize the project. \nMICHELE MEROLA \nMichele Merola is the artistic director and main choreographer of the MM Contemporary Dance Company\, a contemporary dance company founded in 1999 in Reggio Emilia\, which won the prestigious Danza & Danza Award in 2010 as the best emerging company. With the company\, he has brought many of his choreographies to the stage\, both in Italy and abroad\, including La metà dell’ombra\, winner of the Anita Bucchi Award in 2010\, and Bolero\, Europaindanza Award 2017 – Choreography Merit Award. Since 2000\, he has created numerous works for other companies\, including Aterballetto\, Teatro San Carlo di Napoli\, Dominic Walsh Dance Theatre\, Teatro Massimo di Palermo\, Junior Balletto di Toscana\, Teatro Nazionale di Belgrado\, Tanzcompagnie Landesbühnen Sachsen in Dresden\, and Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. In 2003\, he won the International Choreography Competition in Hannover\, in 2008 he received the Positano Leonide Massine Award for the Art of Dance\, and in 2016\, the GD Awards 2016 as Best Italian Choreographer. In 2017\, he won the L’Abella Danza Award at the Roman Amphitheater of Avella (AV). In 2018\, he received the “Encounter with Dance” award instituted by Basilicata ArteDanza. Since 2010\, Merola has been the artistic director\, alongside Enrico Morelli\, of Agora Coaching Project\, a professional training project for dancers based in Reggio Emilia. \nEMANUELE SOAVI \nEmanuele Soavi began his dance studies in Ferrara and later at the Balletto di Toscana. In 1996\, he started working in various Italian theaters\, including the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari and the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. In 1998\, he moved to Germany\, where he worked for three years as a soloist for the Ballet Dortmund\, before moving to the Netherlands to join the renowned Introdans company. Throughout his career\, he has interpreted works by choreographers such as Maurice Béjart\, Jiří Kylián\, Hans van Manen\, Nils Christe\, Renato Zanella\, William Forsythe\, Ton Wiggers\, Nacho Duato\, Karole Armitage\, and Mats Ek. SUMMARY:POP UP - Un fossile di cartone animato
DESCRIPTION:Reinventing the animated book in a theatrical form\, Pop up – Un fossile di cartone animato weaves together the micro-stories of a paper child and a small\, enigmatic sphere. The rhythmic\, chromatic\, and sonic evolutions of their relationship\, their encounters\, reflections\, and transformations come to life on stage. \nThe adventures of the child and their little ball give rise to a symbolic play of geometries and metamorphoses\, touching on central aspects of imagination: fantasy\, invitation\, threat\, and dream. Two actresses\, both animators\, breathe life and voice into the two paper protagonists\, playing with the emergence of figures and shapes over time\, their interweaving with their bodies\, movement\, and the illusion of motion\, as well as the synchronicity between voices and images. \nSuitable for children aged 3 and up \nCREDITS \nA project by Giulia Gallo\, Giovanni Guerrieri | I Sacchi di Sabbia\nIn collaboration with Giulia Solano\nWith Marta Capaccioli\, Lucrezia Palandri\, and Paolo Romanini\nBooks by Giulia Gallo\nLighting concept by Emiliano Curà\nSet construction by Paolo Romanini\nProduction by Teatro delle Briciole – Solares Fondazione delle Arti \nPOP UP: THE SHOW \nThe chromatic exploration of various cartoons comprising the performance serves as a powerful means to delve into basic emotions and create sets of associations between feelings\, shapes\, and colors. The variations on the theme\, harmonizing with the musical exploration of ambient sounds\, become a flexible tool for an experimental exploration of the child’s imagination. \nThe concept of scenically reinventing the pop-up book\, the challenge of creating a handcrafted cartoon—a sort of cardboard fossil in the age of 3D—is a precious opportunity for reflection on animation\, its contemporary techniques’ saturation and invasiveness. It opens the door to a more evocative and less aggressive direction\, allowing more room for imagination in the era of digital dominance. Additionally\, it provides a chance to experimentally blend manipulation\, object theater\, and sounds—lines of exploration cherished by I Sacchi di Sabbia\, now\, for the first time\, directed towards and compared with a young audience. \nTHE AUTHORS \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nI SACCHI DI SABBIA\nOver the years\, the Company has distinguished itself on the national stage\, receiving significant recognition for the uniqueness of its research focused on reinventing contemporary popular scenes. Il respiro (“…for their intertwining of irony\, history\, and metaphysics”) and won the Special Ubu Award in 2008. In perpetual oscillation between tradition and exploration\, between the comic and the tragic\, I Sacchi di Sabbia’s work has materialized into a language balancing various arts (visual arts\, dance\, music). SUMMARY:OPEN REHEARSAL - RUGGINE / PLAY_BACH DIVERTISSEMENT
DESCRIPTION:  \n\n  \nOpen Rehearsal – 6:00 PM \nShow – 8:30 PM \n  \nRust / Manfredi Perego \n“Self-portrait\nNoise grinds\nNatural within” \nRust is a reflection on the product of the antagonism between darkness and light in humans. Rust is a dramaturgical thought that deals with the dark\, unease\, caprice\,\nsuffering; observing these emotions and the actions they provoke without judgment. Rust is a dedication to the area that is usually hidden with great effort. The choreography does not generate an answer\, but rather creates a path that allows one to immerse and cross these moods and dissect them without prejudice. Like in a liberating dedication to the annoying part of ourselves\, the choreography outlines and crosses a sequence devoid of chronology\, an ideal representation of what is usually considered a flaw. \nPLAY_BACH DIVERTISSEMENT / Balletto Teatro di Torino \n“The choreographic challenge is to give visual and dynamic concreteness to the emotion that each note expresses\, capturing the nuances of Bach’s music by translating into dance a process of emotional analysis of what the musical score suggests.\nThe violence and sweetness that arise from the vibration of the played notes must have a physical correspondence\, creating dances that traverse worlds of new carnal frequencies. The project starts from the need to challenge oneself with classical musical scores\, never tackled before\, to discover new approaches to choreography and open up to new dynamic visions. Studies on Bach will be a choreographic gym\, a mutable choreographic space\, which does not end its evolution. Live music stitches the dancer’s epidermis to the place\, bringing it to another level of interpretation and listening. At the same time\, the air moved by the bodies impacts the musicians\, making tangible the action of dance on the instrument.” – Manfredi Perego \n  \nCREDITS \n“`html\nRUST \nChoreography/Dance by Manfredi Perego\nOriginal Music by Paolo Codognola\nLighting Design by Roberta Faiolo\nDuration 20 minutes\nA work produced by Tirdanza\, with the co-production of Milanoltre Festival\, in collaboration with Fondazione TeatroDue Parma\, Europa Teatri \nPLAY_BACH DIVERTISSEMENT \nChoreography by Manfredi Perego\nDancers: Flavio Ferruzzi\, Lisa Mariani\, Luca Tomasoni\, Nadja Guesewell\, Viola Scaglione\nMusic by J.S. SUMMARY:Ruggine / PLAY_BACH DIVERTISSEMENT
DESCRIPTION:  \n  \n\n  \n\n  \nOpen Rehearsal – 6:00 PM \nPerformance – 8:30 PM \nRuggine / Manfredi Perego \nRuggine is a contemplation of the outcome of the antagonism between darkness and light within humans. It is a dramaturgical exploration of the obscure\, restlessness\, caprice\, suffering; observing these emotions and the actions they provoke without judgment. Ruggine is a dedication to the area that is usually concealed with great effort. The choreography doesn’t generate an answer but rather creates a path that allows immersion and traversal of these moods\, dissecting them without prejudice. Like a liberating dedication to the bothersome part of ourselves\, the choreography sketches and traverses a sequence without chronology\, an ideal representation of what is usually considered a flaw. \nPLAY_BACH DIVERTISSEMENT / Balletto Teatro di Torino \nThe choreographic challenge is to give visual and dynamic concreteness to the emotion that each note expresses\, capturing the nuances of Bach’s music and translating into dance an emotional analysis process of what the musical score suggests. The violence and sweetness that arise from the vibration of the played notes must have a physical correspondence\, creating dances that traverse worlds of new carnal frequencies. The project starts from the need to challenge classical musical scores\, never tackled before\, to discover new approaches to choreography and open up to new dynamic visions. Studies on Bach will be a choreographic gym\, a mutable choreutic place that doesn’t end its evolution. Live music stitches the dancer’s epidermis to the space\, taking interpretation and listening to another level. At the same time\, the air moved by the bodies impacts the musicians\, making tangible the dance’s action on the instrument. \nCREDITS \nRUGGINE \nCoreography/Dance by Manfredi Perego\nOriginal Music by Paolo Codognola\nLighting Design by Roberta Faiolo\nDuration 20′\nA work produced by Tirdanza\, co-produced by Milanoltre Festival\, in collaboration with Fondazione TeatroDue Parma\, Europa Teatri \nPLAY_BACH DIVERTISSEMENT \nChoreography by Manfredi Perego\nDancers Flavio Ferruzzi\, Lisa Mariani\, Luca Tomasoni\, Nadja Guesewell\, Viola Scaglione\nMusic by J.S. SUMMARY:YELED - SECUS
DESCRIPTION:  \nOn Friday\, January 26th\, Aterballetto arrives in Foligno at the Teatro Politeama Clarici\, as part of the 2023/2024 season organized by the Teatro Stabile dell’Umbria. On this occasion\, the entire company of sixteen dancers presents Yeled and Secus\, choreographed by Israeli choreographers Eyal Dadon and Ohad Naharin\, respectively. \nYeled by Eyal Dadon \n\nYeled in Hebrew means child. Can we change ourselves as adults? Can we go back to being children?\n“In the process of creation with the dancers\, I reflected on the moment in our lives\, as adults\, when we lost the feeling of being children\, the feeling of being naturally pure\, and the ability to have clean filters. When was the moment we lost our innocence and why? One of the main keys to the creation is the real things we learned as children and how these things shaped us into the people we are today.” – Eyal Dadon \nSecus by Ohad Naharin \n\nSecus boasts a musical collage that ranges from the unusual electronic styles of AGF to the seductive Indian melodies of Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai\, to the resonant harmonies of the Beach Boys. This adventurously eclectic mix serves as the suitable backdrop for a bold and extravagant choreography that unfolds before our incredulous eyes in a human alphabet made up of sprints\, solos\, crisp and clean gestures\, interrupted duets. Through precise and sudden kicks\, sinuous disarticulation of hips\, torsos bending in all directions like molding clay\, Secus expresses pure emotions and feelings without becoming sentimental.

SUMMARY:ALPHA GRACE - "O" - SHOOT ME
DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, January 28th Aterballetto performs at the Teatro Comunale di Todi\, as part of the 2023/2024 season organized by the Teatro Stabile dell’Umbria. For the occasion\, the entire company of sixteen dancers presents a triptych composed of Alpha Grace\, and “O” by Philippe Kratz\, and Shoot me by Diego Tortelli. \n\n– \n\n– \n\nBetween past and future\, two creations by Philippe Kratz. Alpha Grace\, a pas de six\, is a reflection on empathy\, a form of gentle communication between people who feel on the same level. It\, too\, is put to the test by the present times. \nFollowing that is “O”\, two bodies/automatons that force us to question how the sense of physical contact might change: will it remain emotional and felt\, or become serial and alienated? \nClosing the performance is the choreography by Diego Tortelli\, Shoot me\, which\, in its construction\, draws inspiration from the concept of a concert-ballet revisited in a contemporary key\, where music and dance accompany each other. A frontal work that aims to establish a direct exchange between the dancers on stage and the audience in the auditorium: a game of seduction\, of glances\, of sweat\, an assault on the senses\, and an ode to the body\, to breathing the same air\, sweat\, tears\, fury\, pride.

SUMMARY:OPEN REHEARSAL - FÀTICO
DESCRIPTION:  \n\nThe show FÀTICO will be presented in its world premiere on the upcoming 18th of February\, by ORBITA|Spellbound in collaboration with Festival Equilibrio\, at the Teatro Palladium in Rome. \nFÀTICO is a choreographic and musical project in which singing and dancing mark the time of three prayers. On stage are two performers\, equipped with a microphone in contact with the skin\, an extension of the body\, a trigger point for the almost-physical relationship with the audience\, thanks to the instrument provided by vocal action. \nHere\, singing is not an act of spontaneity\, but the product of modification\, integration\, and enhancement of the encyclopedia of this corporeality. In the words that mark the timing of the choreography\, references to nature and the senses give space to memories in their mental space before melting into the words of worship. Progressing through connections and collisions between sonic and choreutic matters\, a secular discourse on sanctity is composed\, asking the audience to let themselves be directed by the fàtico listen! \nIt doesn’t come from nothing\, it’s the peak reached after a long climb.\nThe sight of the stars now that you know how to look. This show is a song\, the voice that persists.\nThe chorus murmured in the field when your hands are still dirty from working.\nFàtico is not just time passing\, it’s medicine.\nThe potion that exalts and condemns life.\nTo reinvent descent and legitimacy. Because a step was missing.\nFàtico is a rope\, a prosthesis\, an act\, that power that cannot be exploited.\nThat distance where we have never touched\, but almost. \n  \nCREDITS \n“`html\nProject\, choreography\, vocal writing\, and performance Irene Russolillo\nSound creation\, vocal writing\, and performance Edoardo Sansonne/Kawabate\nLighting design and technical direction Valeria Foti\nCostume creation Marta Genovese\nPattern maker Sandra Barlocci\nCollaboration on vocal dramaturgy and vocal coaching Patrizia Rotonda \nTexts by Ladan Osman\, Adam Zagajewski\, Annamaria Ortese\, David Thoreau\, Irene Russolillo \nProduction by ORBITA|Spellbound – National Dance Production Center of RomeSupport for creative residencies by Cango – Centre of Relevant Interest for Dance Virgilio Sieni\, National Dance Foundation Aterballetto/National Choreographic Centerwith the support of TRAC – Theatres of Contemporary Artistic Residency in Puglia and in collaboration with SPINTIME labs \nDuration 45′\n“` \nAUTHORS \nIRENE RUSSOLILLO \nIrene Russolillo is a dancer\, vocalist\, performer\, and choreographer. SUMMARY:Stravaganze in sol minore
DESCRIPTION:FND/Aterballetto-Stravaganze in sol minore \nStravaganze in sol minore by Francesca Lattuada is at Teatro Cristallo in Bozen. \nThe magical virtuosity of Toti Scialoja (1914-1998)\, a master not only of images but also of words\, is at the heart of this new creation for children\, young boys and girls signed by the Fondazione Nazionale della Danza/Aterballetto. The protagonists are dancer Vittoria Franchina and baritone Piersilvio De Santis. \nThe almost magical vibrations that spring from Scialoja’s poems are like the infinite rings that are created at the surface of the water when a stone is thrown: evocative of unreal or hyperreal images\, bearers of a musicality that mixes poetry and nursery rhyme\, they make the extraordinary and the frightening go together. \nSotto un cespo di rose scarlatte\nOffre il rospo tè caldo con latte\nSotto un cespo di rose paonazze\nTocca al rospo sciacquare le tazze.\n(Toti Scialoja\, La mela di Amleto\, 1984) \nCREDITS \nDirection and choreography: Francesca Lattuada\nTexts: Toti Scialoja (from La mela di Amleto)\nMusic: The Klezmorin\, Gustav Mahler\, Dean Martin\, Clara Rockmore\nMasks and objects: Natali Fortier\nPerformer: Vittoria Franchina\, Piersilvio De Santis \nCoproduction: Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto and Centro Teatrale Bresciano\nIn coproduction with Centro Servizi Culturali Santa Chiara \n \n\n\n

SUMMARY:Anastasia - L'ultima figlia dello Zar
DESCRIPTION:“`html\n  \nBerlin\, 1920. A woman\, after being rescued from death in a canal and months of muteness in a hospital\, reveals herself to be Anastasia\, the last daughter of the Romanovs\, the Russian royals slaughtered by Bolshevik militias in 1918. A survivor. One of the most mysterious cases of the twentieth century. Is it her or isn’t it? \nOne detail could reveal it… the color of her eyes… the scar hidden beneath the clothes worn out by time and madness. A saying! A secret word never revealed that now passes from mouth to mouth. The people want her now. Is it me or isn’t it me? Memory will play with her image reflected in the hospital window glass\, closed off from the world; it will be revealed by the whistle of the train lost in the snow\, the music of a suddenly enchanting music box. A desire\, a dream\, a memory\, or reality? \nThe music keeps the beat and time passes\, fleeing like a horse\, relentless\, leaving behind particles of memory and desire\, which become a timeless dance. The dance bursts into space and\, in dialogue with the video projections\, recreates distant places that transform\, expand\, crumble the walls of that hospital in which Anastasia is trapped in the search for herself. \nBut is reality always necessary? \nShow suitable for an audience of all ages \n \n“` \n\n– \nCREDITS \nIdea by Roberta Ferrara \nDirection\, dramaturgy\, set design\, and lighting design by Michelangelo Campanale (artistic director of La luna nel letto)\nChoreography by Roberta Ferrara\nPerformers Antonello Amati and Moreno Guadalupi / Giulia Bertoni\, Serena Angelini\, and Rebecca Moriondo Visual artists Alessandro Vangi and Raffaele Fiorella\nNarrator Maria Pascale\nCostume designer Franco Colamorea\nProduction Equilibrio Dinamico Company and La luna nel letto \nTHE AUTHORS \nFERRARA ROBERTA \nRoberta Ferrara (1988) is the founder\, artistic director\, and choreographer since 2011 of Equilibrio Dinamico Dance Company\, based in the city of Bari\, Puglia\, Italy. In 2020/21\, she served as the associate artistic director for Odyssey Dance Theatre\, Singapore\, one of the leading organizations in professional dance arts in Asia. For over ten years\, she has been the artistic director and coordinator of the international pedagogy programs TEEN and ENSEMBLE\, hosting annually over 30 international artists. Her methodology has cultivated a perpetual nursery of future dance generations\, fostering synergistic educational and cultural exchanges with various formations in England\, India\, Japan\, and Korea. \nGraduating in Modern Literature with a focus on Theater Culture from the University of Bari A.Moro\, Ferrara wrote an experimental thesis on the value of instinctive movement as a therapeutic gift for both dancers and non-dancers. As a passionate pedagogue\, her research expands through immersive studies with various artists in techniques\, practices\, and languages of international contemporary dance. This combination forms the basis for her personal creative work dedicated to a poetics always connected to human beings and their inner universe\, creating her own teaching methodology that addresses multiple levels of perception: body – mind – spirit. \nShe has been a guest for various renowned dance institutions\, including Theater Basel (CH)\, Teatrul de Balet Sibiu (RO)\, English National Ballet School (UK)\, Delattre Dance Company (DE)\, Northern School of Contemporary Dance (UK)\, Copenhagen Dance Festival (DNK)\, Conservatorio Professional de Danza\, Lugo (ES)\, Korea Ballet House (KR)\, Staatstheater Augsburg (DE)\, Conservatorio Internacional Annarella Sanchez (PT)\, Eko Dance Project (IT)\, Experimental Film Virginia (USA)\, Teatro Moravo Olomuc (CZ)\, Odt (SGP). \nHer creations have been selected and invited to various international festivals\, including Masdanza\, FIDCMX Mexico\, Cortoindanza\, Network Danza Urbana XL\, Festival Ammutinamenti Anticorpi XL\, ZED Festival\, Puglia Showcase\, DanzInc\, BallettGala Staatstheater Bremerhaven\, Prospettiva Danza Teatro\, Festival delle 100 Scale\, Danza in Rete Festival\, Lucky Trimmer\, Fuoriformato Festival\, Vivadança\, Albania Dance Meeting\, SoloCoreografico USA\, Solo Contemporary Dance Festival Ankara\, Sid Festival Seattle\, Interdans\, Split Summer Festival\, Quinzena de Dança de Almada\, and the Solo Tanz Theater Festival\, where she received the award for best choreographer and a residency award from the director and chief choreographer R. The company\, now based in Bari\, has gained attention for being a unique entity in the Italian dance scene. Recognized since 2021 by the Ministry of Culture as an Under35 Dance Production Organization\, it is the only entity in the Puglia region with such recognition. Equilibrio Dinamico is often described as “a voice outside the chorus\,” highlighting an artistic strategy counter to the trends in young Italian dance\, with the aim of creating a European-profiled reality that nurtures synergies among artists. \nFrom the beginning\, Roberta Ferrara aimed to build a contemporary repertoire company with an international scope\, inviting various choreographers to create new works. The dance cahier includes voices such as Jiří Pokorný\, Igor Kirov\, Bert Uyttenhove\, Matthias Kass & Clément Bugnon\, Marco Blázquez\, Riccardo Buscarini\, Aida Vainieri\, Brandon Lagaert\, among others\, contributing to the creation of a repertoire with diverse perspectives. Additionally\, Equilibrio Dinamico has an equally significant educational repertoire\, featuring works by Imre van Opstal\, Guy Shomroni\, Lior Tavori\, Alejando Moya\, Miguel Altunaga Verdecia\, Alice Godfrey\, Isaiah Wilson\, Manuel Rodriguez\, Sasha Riva & Simone Repele\, Pablo Girolami. The company has been invited to perform in seasons and festivals across Europe\, America\, and Asia\, establishing collaborations with various Italian Institutes of Culture in Mexico\, New York\, Athens\, São Paulo\, San Francisco\, Ankara\, Cologne\, and Zagreb\, thanks to the collaboration of the current general director Vincenzo Losito\, production manager. \nFurthermore\, Equilibrio Dinamico develops collateral training and audience promotion projects\, creating an active dialogue with the regional circuit Teatro Pubblico Pugliese and affiliated municipalities. In 2022\, marking the ten-year celebration of the international training program ENSEMBLE\, the company entered into a partnership with VERVE\, the postgraduate company of the Northern School of Contemporary Dance\, Leeds (UK). Attentive to emerging national choreographic voices\, Equilibrio Dinamico supports the perspectives of new generations through the annual residency call ABITARE\, a productive support project in collaboration with the over thirty-year-old multidisciplinary international festival Castel dei Mondi\, Andria. \nCarmelo Zapparrata on Hystrio\, YEAR XXXV 2/2022 April/June \nINFO & TICKETS\nTICKETS\nFull Price: 10 euros \nTICKET PURCHASE\nTickets can be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it.\nThe ticket service at Fonderia is available from 5:00 PM.\nTickets are not numbered. \nCONTACTS\nPhone and WhatsApp: 3341023554\nEmail: biglietteria@aterballetto.it

SUMMARY:YELED / RHAPSODY IN BLUE / SECUS
DESCRIPTION:“`html\n  \nOn the occasion of the opening of the 2024 Dance Season at the Teatro Regio di Parma\, CCN/Aterballetto presents a trilogy of creations\, including the premiere of Rhapsody in Blue\, a new original production by Iratxe Ansa and Igor Bacovich. Also featured are Yeled by Eyal Dadon and Secus\, a creation by Israeli choreographer Ohad Naharin. \n  \nIn the desire to revitalize ParmaDanza through new and quality proposals\, since my arrival at the Teatro Regio di Parma\, I have intended to start from the excellences present in the territory\, first and foremost the Fondazione Nazionale della Danza/Aterballetto\, the only National Choreographic Center recognized by the Italian Ministry of Culture.\nFor our Theater\, it is essential to embrace contemporaneity and welcome new languages: CCN/Aterballetto\, year after year\, confirms itself as an incubator of creativity\, development\, and experimentation\, open to new artistic canons\, with a constantly updated perspective. These are the values that unite us and drive us to co-design and co-produce\, relying on great names in international choreography and simultaneously working to spread and enhance the culture of dance in society.\n\nLuciano Messi\nSuperintendent of the Teatro Regio di Parma \n  \nStarting a collaboration with the Teatro Regio di Parma\, precisely coinciding with the start of the development and revitalization project that Superintendent Messi is carrying out\, we together wondered what the best direction of work would be. And it came naturally to think of orienting ourselves towards a musically valuable piece. ‘Rhapsody in Blue’ is one of those rare pieces that have become an aesthetic\, and even emotional\, center of gravity of their time and country. And exactly one hundred years have passed since the creation of George Gershwin’s masterpiece. Here we are\, therefore\, once again underlining how important it is to collaborate across different disciplines\, promoting a more contemporary vision of artistic creation. \nGigi Cristoforetti\nGeneral and Artistic Director\nNational Choreographic Center / Aterballetto \n  \nTHE PROGRAM\n  \nYELED – Eyal Dadon

SUMMARY:Stravaganze in sol minore
DESCRIPTION:FND/Aterballetto-Stravaganze in sol minore \nStravaganze in sol minore by Francesca Lattuada is at Teatro Mina Mezzadri in Brescia. \nSotto un cespo di rose scarlatte\nOffre il rospo tè caldo con latte\nSotto un cespo di rose paonazze\nTocca al rospo sciacquare le tazze.\n(Toti Scialoja\, La mela di Amleto\, 1984) \nCREDITS \nDirection and choreography: Francesca Lattuada\nTexts: Toti Scialoja (from La mela di Amleto)\nMusic: The Klezmorin\, Gustav Mahler\, Dean Martin\, Clara Rockmore\nMasks and objects: Natali Fortier\nPerformer: Vittoria Franchina\, Piersilvio De Santis \nCoproduction: Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto and Centro Teatrale Bresciano\nIn coproduction with Centro Servizi Culturali Santa Chiara \n\n\n
