SUMMARY:PATCHWORK\, UN MOSAICO DI STORIE
DESCRIPTION:  \nPatchwork\, un mosaico di storie\, written and directed by four hands\, is the result of an international co-production.\nThe production has two twin castles\, one Italian and one Canadian. The show\, more visual and expressive than words\, deals with the theme of identity in today’s contemporary and multicultural society by staging the meeting of two characters who express themselves in Italian\, English and French without hindering the understanding of the story. \n\n  \nCREDITS \nText and direction Cristina Cazzola and Carol Cassistat\nWritten in collaboration with Lucio Diana\nWith Sara Zoia and Daniele Tessaro\nSet and Lighting Design Lucio Diana\nOriginal music Nicolas Jobin \nProduction Accademia Perduta/Romagna Teatri\, Théâtre du Gros Mécano (Québec City)\, Signs of Childhood Association\, Atrium de Chaville (Paris)\, Musée national des beaux arts du Québec (Paris)\, Museo Benaki (Athens) \nDuration 55′ \nRecommended age from 5 years old and up \nTHE INSPIRATION \nWho are we?\nHow do we create our identity? \nWe started with an image.\nA patchwork blanket\, a courtepointe as they call it in Québec\, made of many different pieces of fabric. \nOften woven by several hands\, it can tell the story of a person\, an event\, an entire family or a generation. It speaks of the identity made up of many different fragments\, it speaks of us\, and of our being multicultural\, of humanity that is increasingly multicolored and multi-ethnic\, but with intertwining roots. \nFamily stories and family trees that can only contain and be the fruit of many journeys. An identity generated by encounters and clashes\, the fruit of a thousand migrations.\nAnd so our private history\, our identity\, a mosaic of stories that starting from Africa with our ancestor Lucy the first Australopithecus\, retraces the great journeys of humanity. \nPatchwork\, un mosaico di storie – ph. Gianluca Bonazzi \nTHE PLOT \nTwo characters meet in a place without space or time. \nHe’s an anthropologist\, she’s a seamstress and they meet for work in a place of passage\, an airport. \nThey do not speak the same language but by communicating with looks\, gestures and simple words using the narrative power of objects they create a common language that makes communication possible and fun. \nEvery detail of their luggage tells something\, some objects bring them together\, others surprise them and so they begin to tell about family trips and adventures. The meeting soon turns into a theatrical game where adults and children are involved in the reflection on two questions that have always accompanied us: who we are and where we come from. \nAn amusing journey back through the branches of family trees and the migrations that have built the history of humanity\, to discover that\, since ever\, our identity is a patchwork\, part of a larger story where each of us is a unique and indispensable piece. \nPatchwork\, un mosaico di storie – ph. Leon Biagi \nINFO & TICKETS \nTICKETS\nPrice: 6 euro \nPURCHASE TICKETS\nDue to anti-Covid regulations\, tickets can only be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it.\nTherefore\, tickets cannot be booked by phone or e-mail. \nThe box office service in the Fonderia is suspended. \nTickets are not numbered. \nENTRANCE \nYou can enter the Fonderia 15 minutes before the performance\, showing your online purchase.\nAt the entrance\, the temperature will be tested\, and access will be denied if the temperature exceeds 37.5°C. SUMMARY:Don Juan
DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto performs in Vicenza Don Juan\, the full evening production by Johan Inger. \nThe choreography comes from Inger’s desire to confront Don Juan\, a paradigmatic myth that is both ancient and still contemporary. The original comedy by Tirso de Molina\, Molière\, Bertold Brecht and the play by Suzanne Lilar are just some of the sources of inspiration: Inger and playwright Gregor Acuña-Pohl consulted twenty-five different texts inspired by the character. \nIn the creation we find all the characters of the story\, from Donna Elvira to Donna Anna to Zerlina and Masetto. Don Juan can be considered a Kammerspiel\, with its ability to emphasise nuances and emotions: and in the case of this creation\, dance becomes a magnifying glass for the individual characters\, subtly but clearly revealing the inner world of the men and women on stage.

SUMMARY:Quel che resta - Open rehearsal
DESCRIPTION:Simona Bertozzi / Nexus – Quel che resta – ph. Luca Del Pia \nOPEN REHEARSAL\nA choreographic dialogue that invites us to explore the relationships between two bodies that work like a living organism in continuous expansion. In its growth\, the organism multiplies its directions and continually makes possible new balances and new links\, without avoiding the occurrence of mutations. \nQuel che resta (What remains) is a journey towards the wonder of movement\, made up of moments in which dance freezes in a gesture and surprising explosions\, sudden bursts\, unbalancing and repositioning of the body in space. A journey towards a territory made of landings and new departures. \n  \n\nCREDITS \nConcept and choreography: Simona Bertozzi\nDance: Marta Ciappina\, Simona Bertozzi\nMusic: Stravinsky: Diversions\, Ray Chen\, Timothy Young Divertimento: IV. Pas de deux\, Coda Presto\nSoundscape: Roberto Passuti\n(with an excerpt from the documentary Big Animals survival strategies)\nLighting design: Giuseppe Filipponio \nOrganization: Chiara Boscariol\nPress: Michele Pascarella\nPhoto and video: Luca Del Pia \nDuration: 45’\nProduction: Nexus 2021 \nWith the contribution of Mic\, Regione Emilia-Romagna\, Comune di Bologna\nWith the support of Centro Nazionale di Produzione della Danza Virgilio Sieni e di Fondazione CR Firenze \nCreative residencies within the framework of Residenze per artisti nei Territori curated by Masque teatro\, Artists in ResidenSì Bologna\, in collaboration with Dialoghi – Residenze delle Arti Performative a Villa Manin 2021\, CSS Teatro stabile di innovazione del FVG\, Almastudios Bologna. \nSYNOPSIS \nSince the beginning of my journey with Marta\, I have tried to attribute to the space environmental characteristics that could generate visions\, change the density of the air and generate the unexpected ability to cross. Unusual ways of being. \nAll this so that we could meet in a boundless dance\, able to reverberate beyond the awareness of our actions and surprise us\, almost despite ourselves\, in attitudes of affection and irresistible resonance. \nQuel che resta (What remains) was\, at first\, one of the territories of the map and of the practices\, between glaciation\, skins\, escapes\, and then became the overlying image\, the bubble\, the necessary degree of presence\, the shared gaze\, the inevitable questioning on which to pause\, to find the subtle breath and transit from one dance to another. \nSimona Bertozzi / Nexus – Quel che resta – ph. Luca Del Pia \nFrom a section of space\, Quel che resta has become the whole organism\, the living\, a multiplication of vectors\, perspectives\, anatomical flexions\, rhythm and time.\nIt has made us connective tissues\, to imagine and welcome other inhabitants\, to make temperatures and origins reverberate\, to generate multiform agreements of entry into movement\, looking for unexpected capacities to make the world. To generate amazement. \nQuel che resta is the impetuosity and the lingering of bodies\, the weightless touch: it extends a vocabulary of waits and starts\, of repeated geometries\, of figurines\, ice\, resistance\, epidermis and pupils and of refrains. To be hooked. \nSIMONA BERTOZZI \nSimona Bertozzi\, dancer and choreographer\, a graduate from DAMS in Bologna\, has been committed since 2005 to an authorial path of choreographic research and in 2008 founded the Simona Bertozzi | Nexus Company. \nOver the years\, her projects have been supported and hosted by important Italian and European circuits\, through co-productions and choreographic residencies. \nHer most recent works include: And it burns\, burns\, burns finalist at the 2017 UBU Awards as Best Dance Performance\, Joie de Vivre co-produced by ERT Emilia Romagna Teatro Fondazione\, Fondazione Teatro Comunale di Modena and Tra le linee project co-produced by Torino Danza\, MilanOltre\, Nexus and Festival Est Ovest. \nSince 2014 the creation path has also addressed young performers\, involving children and teenagers. \nIn 2019 he won the Hystrio Corpo a Corpo Award and the ANCT (Associazione Nazionale Critici di Teatro) Award. \nsimonabertozzi.it \nINFO & TICKETS \nTICKETS\nFull price: 3 euro\nReduced under 6: free \nPURCHASE TICKETS\nDue to anti-Covid regulations\, tickets can only be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it.\nTherefore\, tickets cannot be booked by phone or e-mail.
DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto performs in Ludwigshafen Don Juan\, the full evening production by Johan Inger. \nIn the creation\, we find all the characters of the story\, from Donna Elvira to Donna Anna to Zerlina and Masetto. Don Juan can be considered a Kammerspiel\, with its ability to emphasise nuances and emotions: and in the case of this creation\, dance becomes a magnifying glass for the individual characters\, subtly but clearly revealing the inner world of the men and women on stage. \n\n

DESCRIPTION:Nicola Galli – Il mondo altrove \nOPEN REHEARSAL\n“We particularly liked Nicola Galli’s latest creation “Il mondo altrove” (The World Elsewhere) which\, to Giacinto Scelsi’s obsessive music full of mysticism\, transports us to distant worlds\, between West and East\, in atmospheres reminiscent of a lost and ancestral world: the paintings and vases of ancient Greece but also the dances of Bali and the Katakali\, Japanese Nō and the mythical atmospheres of South America.\n[…] The dancers\, entering through the door at the centre of the stage\, concealing an unknown elsewhere\, advance like mysterious priests\, giving us back the sense of a lost sacredness that suddenly seems to still belong to us”. \nMario Bianchi [ Krapp’s Last Post – 27/07/2021 ] \n  \n\nCREDITS \nConcept ancd choreography: Nicola Galli\nDance: Margherita Dotta\, Nicola Galli\, Leonardo Maietto\, Silvia Remigio\nMusic: Giacinto Scelsi\, 3/4 had been eliminated\nProps: Giulio Mazzacurati\nMasks and costumes: Nicola Galli\nLight and sound: Giovanni Garbo \nProduction: TIR Danza\, stereopsis\nCo-production: MARCHE TEATRO / Inteatro Festival\, Oriente Occidente \nArtistic residences: DID Studio / Ariella Vidach\, Centro di Residenza della Toscana (Armunia – CapoTrave / Kilowatt)\, Oriente Occidente Studio_Passo Nord\nWith the support of: Rete Almagià\nTook part to the process of creation: Nicolas Grimaldi Capitello\nDuration: 50′ \nSYNOPSIS \nIl mondo altrove is a choreographic pièce in the shape of dance ritual\, which celebrates the motion of an unexplored world according to a scenic mindset.\nThe pièce traces an ideal path between West and Orient and it’s freely inspired by South America’s indigenous rituals\, Japanese’s symbols and traditions of Nō theater\, and the composer Giacinto Scelsi’s obsessive – to some extent mystical and eccentric – musical research\, focused on a spherical concept of sound. \nFrom the main door – which overlooks the scenic area and hides a elsewhere – four shamanic figures finely adorned move forward to lead a magical and timeless ceremony. The movement of bodies and the features of their faces – veiled and reconfigured according to canons extraneous to Western culture – preserve and offer to our gaze the ritual of a possible different tradition\, acted inside a circular bordary which delimits a space still attributable to the sacred and which collects the result of a harmonious coexistence between natural habitat and human action. \nNicola Galli – Il mondo altrove \nThe action takes place at sunset\, embraced by the bright colors of gold\, cyan and purple\, and then it dissolves in a nocturnal gestural dialogue\, as expression of mutual support\, perpetual gift\, universal and celestial communion. \nFaced with this physical language\, we are invited to decipher the “hieroglyphs” of this unknown\, wild and upside down civilization; we are guests encouraged to train to overcome the border of the known\, discovering ourselves as foreigners among foreigners. Welcoming a new world and opening up to an unknown system means to come into contact\, without pre-established hierarchies\, with the poetry of an opaque language\, whether it belongs to the animal world\, the plant world or any alternative culture. Accepting the questioning of something about oneself and rediscovering own humanity in the reflection of the encounter. \nNICOLA GALLI \nNicola Galli (1990\, Ferrara) works on body research\, stated in artistic pieces and devices that ranges from choreography to performance\, from body installations to graphics.\nGalli starts as agonist gymnast and then approaches to the body research at Teatro Nucleo (Ferrara)\, studying the languages of physical theatre and contemporary dance. Moreover he experiences a lot of heterogeneous disciplines: Renaiassance dance\, modern dance\, hip-hop and muscular rebalancing workshop ‘Monari Method’.\nIn 2010 he starts a personal research focused on shape and definition of the “stratification” and “landscape” concepts in connection with the body\, that develops in installations and choreographic pieces. Starting from the natural science\, the geometry and the astronomy he is fascinated by anatomy\, proportion and details; these elements compose the core of his trasversal scenic imaginary.\nIn his works\, the body become the irradiate core of the artistic research which focuses on analytical exploration of movement as a part of different knowledges.\nContextually to artistic research\, Nicola Galli creates and manages educational workshops dedicated to children\, adults and young dancers\, designed to explore the movement\, discover new visions and perceptions of the body and new reflections of his own physical and communicative border.\nFrom 2010 to 2014 he worked as dancer and performer in the company Collettivo Cinetico.\nSince 2014 he is choreographer supported by TIR Danza. \nHis works have been presented in: Egypt\, France\, Germany\, Italy\, Holland\, and via livestreaming in South Korea.\nHe has also collaborated with important international Institutions: Italian Cultural Institute (Paris)\, Balletto di Toscana (Florence)\, MUSE Science Museum (Trento)\, Scuola Normale Superiore University (Pisa)\, Fondazione Perugia Musica Classica (Perugia)\, Institute of the Arts (Seoul)\, IUAV University (Venice). \nAWARDS\n• 2018: “Prize Equilibrio” – Fondazione Musica per Roma with the pièce Deserto digitale\n• 2018: Prize “Danza & Danza” as best new choreogprapher with the pièce De rerum natura\n• 2019: Italian prize “Sfera d’Oro per la danza”\n• 2021: Prize “Radicondoli per il teatro in the name of Valter Ferrara” for innovation and use of new technologies in the theater with the performance Genoma scenico | digital device \nnicolagalli.it \nINFO & TICKETS \nTICKETS\nFull price: 3 euro\nReduced under 6: free \nPURCHASE TICKETS\nDue to anti-Covid regulations\, tickets can only be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it.\nTherefore\, tickets cannot be booked by phone or e-mail. DESCRIPTION:Nicola Galli – Il mondo altrove \n  \n“We particularly liked Nicola Galli’s latest creation “Il mondo altrove” (The World Elsewhere) which\, to Giacinto Scelsi’s obsessive music full of mysticism\, transports us to distant worlds\, between West and East\, in atmospheres reminiscent of a lost and ancestral world: the paintings and vases of ancient Greece but also the dances of Bali and the Katakali\, Japanese Nō and the mythical atmospheres of South America.\n[…] The dancers\, entering through the door at the centre of the stage\, concealing an unknown elsewhere\, advance like mysterious priests\, giving us back the sense of a lost sacredness that suddenly seems to still belong to us”. \nAWARDS\n• 2018: “Prize Equilibrio” – Fondazione Musica per Roma with the pièce Deserto digitale\n• 2018: Prize “Danza & Danza” as best new choreogprapher with the pièce De rerum natura\n• 2019: Italian prize “Sfera d’Oro per la danza”\n• 2021: Prize “Radicondoli per il teatro in the name of Valter Ferrara” for innovation and use of new technologies in the theater with the performance Genoma scenico | digital device \nnicolagalli.it \nINFO & TICKETS \nTICKETS\nFull price: 9 euro\nReduced under 30\, dance schools\, Liceo Coreutico Matilde di Canossa\, over 65\, members of CRAL Municipality of Reggio Emilia: 6 euro\nReduced under 8: 3 euro \nPURCHASE TICKETS\nDue to anti-Covid regulations\, tickets can only be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it.\nTherefore\, tickets cannot be booked by phone or e-mail.
DESCRIPTION:At the Opéra de Massy\, on 31 March and 1 April\, Aterballetto dances Don Juan\, the full evening production by Johan Inger. \n

SUMMARY:Don Juan
DESCRIPTION:At Teatro Ristori in Verona\, Aterballetto dances Don Juan\, the full evening production by Johan Inger. \n

SUMMARY:50 MIN|MQ
DESCRIPTION:50 MIN|MQ presents the physical but not mental isolation that is still affecting our lives.\nThe dancers of E.sperimenti Dance Company show emotions and feelings\, which are often contrasting and euphoric\, resulting from the period of confinement we have experienced. \n  \n\nCREDITS \nDancers E.sperimenti Dance Company\nChoreography Federica Galimberti\nMusic AA.VV.\nCostumes E.sperimenti Dance Company\nLights Emilio Barone\nProduction GruppoDanzaOggi di Patrizia Salvatori \n50 MIN|MQ \nBe aware of the new that is coming\, losing control. Putting one eye on yourself and another on the world.\nTake refuge in the only place that represented and still represents\, especially in this nation\, a safe place. The dancers are the performers of the event that permanently signed a step into the new and the unknown.\nCarrying our physical\, emotional\, cultural and spiritual experience\, starting from the only place of freedom we had been given\, the “Supermarket”\, that became a special place for thoughts and ideas\, let us give time to our ego\, hit and hurt by the abuses of a time that has been taken from us\, by marking social rhythms and distances and adding a little irony in our hardest moments.\nAn awakening for many. \n50 MIN|MQ is a performance in which the dancers express emotions and feelings\, often conflicting and euphoric\, resulting from the period of isolation experienced. It is a very involving performance because it is the true emotional representation of the artists and all of us. \nA new production by the choreographer Federica Galimberti who\, together with the performers\, decided to rethink their own being as performers\, through technological\, rather than human\, connections. They have been able to draw both advantages and limits\, with an ’emotional memory’ to share with everyone because it is ”everyone’s”:\nThe artist inside each one of us\, squeezed into 50 square metres\, goes beyond the walls\, runs and draws an invisible imaginary thread that never stops uniting bodies\, minds\, languages and emotions. Art has no barriers\, no constraints\, no boundaries…\nA show that changes and ends in different ways\, proving that people are always changing\, searching for a better self\, a reborn\, renewed self. \n50 MIN|MQ shows the physical but not mental isolation that continues to condition the life of the single person and not only: it brings out the irrepressible irony\, lightness\, theatricality characteristic of E.sperimenti Dance Company. \n\nINFO & TICKETS \nTICKETS\nFull price: 9 euro\nReduced under 30\, dance schools\, Liceo Coreutico Matilde di Canossa\, over 65\, members of CRAL Municipality of Reggio Emilia: 6 euro\nReduced under 8: 3 euro \nPURCHASE TICKETS\nDue to anti-Covid regulations\, tickets can only be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it.\nTherefore\, tickets cannot be booked by phone or e-mail. SUMMARY:UNDER THE FLESH
DESCRIPTION:  \nUnder the Flesh by Bassam Aboud Diab is a contemporary dance performance\, a personal reflection that investigates how the human body reacts to situations of war and danger and how this survival instinct can be expressed in a dance with its own specific technique. \nThe performance will be followed by a talk with the audience conducted by Mattia Mariani\, director of Telereggio\, on how the artist sees the transformations of society and how culture affects them.\n \n\nCredits \nChoreography and direction: Bassam Abou Diab\nPerformer: Bassam Abou Diab\, Ayman Sharaf El Dine and a translator\nMusic: Ayman Sharaf El Dine \nCo-produced by Maqamat Beit El Raqs\nDuration: 30′ \nSYNOPSIS \nIn 1996 the war came back and it was a long time since I had met my friends\, the bombing. My friends this time were much more sophisticated and strong than previous times and it had been a long time since I had used the fall strategy. I took note of the change and elaborated the strategy again trying not to die. \nThe second strategy is to let your body go to the end\, you take advantage of the moment to go to the extreme part of your body / the extreme boundary of your body and avoid the danger. Actually it is not a strategy but I was trying to celebrate it because I got a new pair of shoes from European aid. The best part of a war are the gifts\, games and donations that we usually receive after every war but in that case my neighbor received more gifts because his parents died during the war. \nDuring the year 2000 I changed. New ideas in mind about the relationship between cultures\, the body\, death and rituals. My new strategy is to bring together traditions and identities to create a particular taste and a whole new meaning for existence. \nIn 2006 things got more difficult. I was forced to use a huge number of strategies to survive. Pain and death were just music to me. I think the time is over and you are thinking that I said a lot of stupid things but the most important thing is that you try to discover your own strategies. \nBassam Abou Diab \nBassam Abou Diab \nHe is an emerging choreographer from Beirut who has used the Moultaqa Leymoun platform to its full potential. His history and interest in theatre\, folklore and contemporary dance soon pushed him into the regional and international dance scene. He worked under the guidance of Omar Rajeh | Maqamat\, Gilles Jobin\, Damien Jalet\, Marco Cantalupo and other established artists. Cultural influences and adaptability create a captivating sense of wonder in his work. Bassam is an artist associated with Maqamat and is currently supported by Maqamat Beit El Raqs together with APAP for the APAP 2020 project. \nINFO & TICKETS \nTICKETS\nFull price: 9 euro\nReduced under 30\, dance schools\, Liceo Coreutico Matilde di Canossa\, over 65\, members of CRAL Municipality of Reggio Emilia: 6 euro\nReduced under 8: 3 euro \nPURCHASE TICKETS\nDue to anti-Covid regulations\, tickets can only be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it.\nTherefore\, tickets cannot be booked by phone or e-mail.
