SUMMARY:Storie
DESCRIPTION:CANCELLED PERFORMANCE\nAterballetto’s performance “Storie”\, scheduled for Tuesday 13 July at the Parco Ducale as part of the “Giardini d’Estate” festival\, has been cancelled following a number of positive cases among the dancers\, in compliance with prevention and safety measures to combat and contain the diffusion of Covid. \nYou can ask for the refund of the tickets purchased until July 31\, 2021 at the box office of the Storchi Theatre.\nOpening hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Saturdays also from 4.30 p.m. to 7 p.m.\nTelephone and email: 059 2136021 – biglietteria@emiliaromagnateatro.com \nTranslated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version) \n  \nAterballetto dances at Giardini Ducali in Modena and presents Storie. \n\nStorie is a small anthology of danced fragments. They are only an infinitesimal part of the very rich artistic and human universe of the two choreographers Diego Tortelli and Philippe Kratz. \nTortelli creates two pieces: Preludio\, opening the bill\, is a love letter to the body for five dancers on Nick Cave music\, Another story is a duo about the impossible gesture of 2020\, the hug. \nBetween past and future the two creations by Kratz. The duo “O” offers us two human bodies / robots that force us to question ourselves on how the sense of physical contact might change: will it remain emotional and heartfelt\, or will it become serial and alienated?\nAlpha Grace\, a creation for six dancers at the end of the bill\, is a reflection on empathy\, a form of gentle communication among people who feel on the same level. It too is severely stretched by the present times. \nThe review ‘Giardini d’estate’\, promoted by the Municipality of Modena\, is entrusted to Emilia Romagna Teatro Fondazione in collaboration with Teatro Comunale di Modena\, with the support of Fondazione di Modena\, Gruppo Hera and with the patronage of Regione Emilia-Romagna. \n\n

SUMMARY:Golden Days
DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto ends its season at Festival Vaison Danses\, at the wonderful ancient theatre in Vaison-la-Romaine. \nGolden Days is an evening that begins with the smoky atmospheres of Rain Dogs and ends with the light and smiles of BLISS through the ironic female solo of Birdland. \nAll accompanied by the music of Tom Waits\, Patti Smith and Keith Jarrett. \n“An andante cantabile\, an adagio and a rondo. Essentially a concert. Of dance\, however\, and yet with a great soundtrack.”\nSergio Trombetta\, La Stampa\, 10.07.2017 \n

SUMMARY:Dante Solo Inferno - Open Rehearsal
DESCRIPTION:OPEN REHEARSAL\nAn intricate forest\, swamps and rivers with dark\, stagnant water\, caves\, mud and stones\, rains of fire\, boiling blood. The landscape described by Dante Alighieri’s verses takes shape and body in the choreography Dante Solo Inferno\, created by Monica Casadei for the Compagnia Artemis Danza and inspired by the first cantica of the Commedia. \n \nCREDITS \nChoreography Monica Casadei\nMusic Franz Liszt\, Giuseppe Verdi\, Alfred Schnittke\, Krzysztof Penderecki\nMusical arrangements Luca Vianini\nProduction Compagnia Artemis Danza\nIn partnership with Ravenna Festival\n \nSynopsis \nIn this performance\, conceived to celebrate the 700th anniversary of the Poet’s death\, the dancers redraw the contours of an inhospitable land\, where torments of the damned serve their sentence. The choreographic movements become a mirror of the torment\, the bodies are shaped in torsions\, syncopes\, contractures\, insoluble weaves. And yet\, as in Dante’s Inferno\, there are traces of a decayed humanity\, souls that preserve memory of themselves and their past\, individualities that emerge like spots of colour in the indistinct magma\, out of a desire to tell the outside observer about their lives before death. \nSome of them cross the stage still wearing their worn-out earthly clothes\, remnants of a nobility that is no longer worth anything\, where everyone is equal. Others take shape through the reading of Dante’s verses. Paolo and Francesca da Rimini\, Pier Della Vigna in the forest of suicides\, Tiresia\, Ulysses\, Minos… characters that Monica Casadei chooses to investigate the human soul\, in a path that from the awareness of sin goes beyond condemnation\, towards compassion and acceptance of human nature. There is no lack of moments of sacredness\, such as a dance by dervishes in their ample red robes\, spinning moved by the wind. \nMusic contributes to making the journey even more intense: Franz Liszt’s Dante-Symphonie\, inspired by the composer’s reading of Dante’s Commedia\, and Lacrymosa from Giuseppe Verdi’s Messa da Requiem\, meet pages by contemporary composers such as Alfred Schnittke and Krzysztof Penderecki\, and the sound atmospheres of Luca Vianini.\nDante Solo Inferno is a constantly evolving journey\, part of a wider project of exploration by Monica Casadei of Dante’s Inferno\, which has also taken shape in her creations Ombre and Frammenti di Inferno. \n  \nCOMPAGNIA ARTEMIS DANZA \nOriginally from Ferrara\, Monica Casadei graduates in philosophy cum laude writing a dissertation on dance in Plato’s system. After a career as a professional acrobatic gymnast\, she takes to studying classic and modern dance\, at first in Italy\, then in London\, and eventually in Paris where she gets to meet choreographers Pierre Doussaint and Isabelle Doubouloz and the Master André Cognard Hanshi So shihan\, with whom she still practices the martial art of Aikido. \nIn France\, she founds the company Artemis Danza\, with which she later moves to Italy\, in 1997\, giving birth to a fervent production activity that amounts\, nowadays\, to over 40 original creations. \nFrom 1998 to 2007\, the Company is part of an artist residency at Fondazione Teatro Due in Parma whereas\, from 2014 up to this day\, it partakes in an artist residency at Teatro Comunale in Bologna. Artemis Danza has been invited to the most important Italian theatres and festivals and to several international tours and festivals. \nPivotal elements in Monica Casadei’ s artistic research are the influences from different artistic\, cultural and geographic fields and the exploration of urban spaces and places that turn into stages for performances. \nAlongside the production activity\, Artemis funds\, produces and promotes young choreographers and organizes several activities meant to artistically educate the audience. \nartemisdanza.com \nINFO & BIGLIETTI \nTICKETS\nFull price: 3 euro\nUnder 6: free \nPURCHASING TICKETS\nIn compliance with anti-Covid regulations\, tickets can only be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it up to one hour before the performance.\nTherefore tickets cannot be booked by phone or by e-mail. \nThe ticket service in the Fonderia is suspended. \nTickets are not numbered. \nENTRANCE\nYou can enter the Fonderia 15 minutes before the performance\, showing your online purchase.\nAt the entrance\, the temperature will be tested and if the temperature exceeds 37.5°C\, you will not be allowed to enter. Colour\, shape and fluidity: a performance built for an audience that loves to be carried away by the poetry of line and elegance. Drawing inspiration from the patterns at the base of Marina Rinaldi by Roksanda capsule\, I am going to create an abstract poem of bodies immersed in colour. \nA declaration of love to contemporary art\, to what defines it: geometry\, matter and poetry. \nDiego Tortelli \nEppur si muove \nChoreography Francesca Lattuada\nMusic Ludwig van Beethoven (Symphony n. 7 – Second movement – Allegretto)\nCostume design Bruno Fatalot\nDancers Arianna Ganassi\, Antonio Tafuni \nDuration 12’\nProduction Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto \nWrapped in the elegant and impalpable costume of Bruno Fatalot\, a dancer moves solemnly on a barrel-pedestal\, pulled by the painful and mysterious note of Beethoven’s Allegretto. SUMMARY:Dante Solo Inferno
DESCRIPTION:An intricate forest\, swamps and rivers with dark\, stagnant water\, caves\, mud and stones\, rains of fire\, boiling blood. The landscape described by Dante Alighieri’s verses takes shape and body in the choreography Dante Solo Inferno\, created by Monica Casadei for the Compagnia Artemis Danza and inspired by the first cantica of the Commedia. \n \n  \nCREDITS \nChoreography Monica Casadei\nMusic Franz Liszt\, Giuseppe Verdi\, Alfred Schnittke\, Krzysztof Penderecki\nMusical arrangements Luca Vianini\nProduction Compagnia Artemis Danza\nIn partnership with Ravenna Festival \nSynopsis \nIn this performance\, conceived to celebrate the 700th anniversary of the Poet’s death\, the dancers redraw the contours of an inhospitable land\, where torments of the damned serve their sentence. \nCOMPAGNIA ARTEMIS DANZA \nOriginally from Ferrara\, Monica Casadei graduates in philosophy cum laude writing a dissertation on dance in Plato’s system. \nartemisdanza.com \nINFO & BIGLIETTI \nTICKETS\nFull price: 9 euro\nReduced price under 30\, dance schools\, Liceo Coreutico Matilde di Canossa\, over 65: 6 euro\nUnder 8: free \nPURCHASING TICKETS\nIn compliance with anti-Covid regulations\, tickets can only be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it up to one hour before the performance.\nTherefore tickets cannot be booked by phone or by e-mail. However\, the current pandemic situation has affected my idea\, leading me to change my plans and “forcing” me to interact with only two performers. This “obstacle”\, so to speak\, has made me think and it has led me to the creation of a duet that is not caged in a pre-defined structure. A duet that is open to future evolutions: an enlargement or\, to be more precise\, a return to a greater number of dancers. \nRoberto Tedesco \n  \nA POETRY ABSTRACTION \nChoreography Diego Tortelli\nMusic Modulatori and Cavalcata by Daniela Savoldi\, Meditation from Thaïs by Jules Massenet\nCello Daniela Savoldi\nCostume design Diego Tortelli\nDancers Fabio Calvisi\, Vittoria Franchina\, Giovanni Leone\, Vanessa Loi \nDuration 20’\nProduction Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto \nCreation for the launch of Marina Rinaldi by Roksanda capsule (2019)\n \n\nIn the performance created for the launch of the Marina Rinaldi by Roksanda capsule in 2019\, I am going to draw geometric shapes and patterns through dance and body\, following and connecting my work to the designer’s creations\, but also from the idea of “opposites”. \nI am fascinated by the concept of elements that are born from a principle of “abstractionism” but find their own story when meeting; just as a body finds its own narrative and the right feeling when wearing a dress\, so the dancing body finds its own narrative sense in the encounter with music. \nI imagine therefore an exclusive performance\, where the bodies of the dancers intertwine creating plastic figures\, broken lines and games of fluid geometries\, but always accompanied by the harmonious and poetic sound of a young cellist\, to give geometry a soul\, a place\, a time. \nDiego Tortelli \nInfo & Tickets \nTICKETS\nFull price: 9 euro\nReduced price under 30\, dance schools\, Liceo Coreutico Matilde di Canossa\, over 65: 6 euro\nUnder 8: free \nPURCHASING TICKETS\nIn compliance with anti-Covid regulations\, tickets can only be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it up to one hour before the performance.\nTherefore tickets cannot be booked by phone or by e-mail. So how does dance come into play in today’s society of control? _ Maurizio Zanardi \nDANIELE ALBANESE \nDaniele Albaneseis a choreographer\, dancer and performer based between Italy and Berlin. DESCRIPTION:Home Altrove is a performance as well as a reflection about the invisible communication between actions and thoughts\, between what is here and what is elsewhere. \nThe performance will be introduced by a short lecture by the philosopher Maurizio Zanardi and will be followed by an open conversation between the philosopher and Daniele Albanese. SUMMARY:Don Juan
DESCRIPTION:Ludwigsburg is the first German city to stage Don Juan\, the full evening production by Johan Inger. \nThe choreography comes from Inger’s desire to confront Don Juan\, a paradigmatic myth that is both ancient and still contemporary. The original comedy by Tirso de Molina\, Molière\, Bertold Brecht and the play by Suzanne Lilar are just some of the sources of inspiration: Inger and playwright Gregor Acuña-Pohl consulted twenty-five different texts inspired by the character. \nIn the creation we find all the characters of the story\, from Donna Elvira to Donna Anna to Zerlina and Masetto. Don Juan can be considered a Kammerspiel\, with its ability to emphasise nuances and emotions: and in the case of this creation\, dance becomes a magnifying glass for the individual characters\, subtly but clearly revealing the inner world of the men and women on stage. \n

Michele Di Stefano captures the timelessness of the ‘classic’ in Act III of Bayadère\, the so-called Kingdom of Shadows\, where the impalpable souls that appeared in a dream to the warrior Solor after smoking a hookah descend in arabesques penchées the slopes of the Himalayas. \nAn enchanting vision\, a white act of amazement that is now translated into a psychedelic and contemporary vision but always with Minkus accompanying it. \n \n  \n\n  \nCREDITS \nBallet in one act for 12 dancers \nChoreography Michele Di Stefano\nMusic Ludwig Minkus\nOriginal music composition Lorenzo Bianchi Hoesch\nCostume design Santi Rinciari\nLighting design Giulia Broggi \nCompagnia Nuovo BallettO di ToscanA\nDancers Lisa Cadeddu\, Matteo Capetola\, Francesca Capurso\, Carmine Catalano\, Beatrice Ciattini\, Matilde Di Ciolo\, Roberto Doveri\, Veronica Galdo\, Aisha Narciso\, Aldo Nolli\, Niccolò Poggini\, Paolo Rizzo \nArtistic Director Cristina Bozzolini\nMaitre de Ballet Sabrina Vitangeli\nProduction manager Serena Roberti\nTechnical and stage director Saverio Cona\nDressmaker Chiara Fontanella\nLighting technicians Luca Cittadoni\, Luisa Giusti \nwith the support of Centro Nazionale di Produzione della Danza Virgilio Sieni \n  \nSynopsis \nBayadère is a ballet steeped in idealised exoticism\, both in its melodramatic plot and in its overall aesthetic.\nTraditionally its most famous scene\, the Kingdom of Shadows\, is borderline on the boundary between the real and the afterlife\, where the shadows that appear are as if frozen in their tragic condition and the movements they make are ritualistic; the act expresses a vision that goes beyond the context and opens up a passage of pure movement\, abstract and lucid in its formal simplicity. \nMy interest lies precisely in the compositional potential that this scene contains\, not to replicate it but to unleash all its dynamic force and also to give Solor’s hallucination back its true psychedelic nature. Conceived for an ensemble of very young talents\, this new Kingdom of Shadows\, so mysteriously full of suggestions\, belongs to the exceptional times we are living\, because it refers to something lost and something possible at the same time\, something that concerns the presence of bodies and the interweaving of their trajectories\, in a space that is no longer just a beyond but a present that wants to be reinvented with grace and passion. \nMichele Di Stefano \nNuovO BallettO di ToscanA \nThe Compagnia Professionale Nuovo Balletto di Toscana\, now managed by the new cultural association ‘Balletto di Toscana’\, has been a significant presence in the news and history of Italian dance since 1970. \nIt has always been animated by the commitment\, skills and passion of its leader Cristina Bozzolini\, first with the ‘Collettivo Danza Contemporanea’ (Contemporary Dance Collective)\, then with the experience of the professional company of the Balletto di Toscana\, which for fifteen years\, from 1985 to 2000\, became a major presence of outstanding excellence on the international scene\, and finally with the operation of its own youth ensemble\, the ‘Junior BdT’\, which in the last ten years has been able to conquer the stages of many prestigious Italian theatres. \nThe Nuovo BdT is now a rigorously professional production structure\, supported by the MIC\, the Region of Tuscany and the Municipality of Florence\, with a medium-sized artistic company of 12/14 dancers\, in accordance with the most significant and qualified experiences of professional companies. \nThe current artistic programme\, thanks also to a team of collaborators and authors of renowned reputation\, alongside Cristina Bozzolini\, recalls a constant and coherent cultural policy with the affirmation of the primacy of contemporary choreography\, with a plurality of expressive languages. In the past years the authors of great relevance have been Fabrizio Monteverde\, Mauro Bigonzetti\, Virgilio Sieni\, Cristina Rizzo\, and later Eugenio Scigliano\, Arianna Benedetti\, Davide Bombana\, Nicola Galli\, Diego Tortelli. \nhttps://scuoladelballettoditoscana.it/nuovo-balletto-toscana/?cli_action=1627458748.213 \nINFO & TICKETS \nTICKETS\nFull price: 9 euro\nReduced price under 30\, dance schools\, Liceo Coreutico Matilde di Canossa\, over 65: 6 euro\nUnder 8: free \nPURCHASING TICKETS\nIn compliance with anti-Covid regulations\, tickets can only be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it up to one hour before the performance.\nTherefore tickets cannot be booked by phone or by e-mail. SUMMARY:AMIGDALA
DESCRIPTION:Sanpapié – Amigdala \nAMIGDALA pursues the Compagnia Sanpapié‘s research towards a “public dance” conceived as a shared experience of audience and performers in urban and natural venues\, architectures\, buildings\, theatres: spectators are invited inside the performance itself\, sharing concrete spaces that cancel distances and renounce filters. Music\, words and sounds are given back through a system of silent-disc headphones that allows maximum dynamism through the urban setting in spontaneous and daily movement. \nA walking performance through the spaces of the Fonderia. \n \n  \nCREDITS\nChoreography Lara Guidetti\nOriginal music and sound design Francesco Arcuri\nVisual and costumes Nani Walz\nTexts Saverio Bari with Gianluca Bonzani \nVoice Beatrice Casiroli\nWith Fabrizio Calanna\, Sofia Casprini\, Luis Fernando Colombo\, Gioele Cosentino\, Matteo Sacco\, Lara Viscuso \nProduction Sanpapié and Milanoltre Festival\nWith the support of Teatri di Vita/programma Artisti nei territori della Regione Emilia-Romagna and Officine CAOS/Residenza Multidisciplinare Arte Transitiva Regione Piemonte in the sphere of the CURA 2021 Project. \nIn collaboration with Cluster TAV – TechForLife Cluster Lombardo Tecnologie per gli Ambienti di Vita\, Dr. Antonella Monteleone\, IEO Institute and patients of the project We Will Care\nSynopsis \nThe dance occupies the space in its contemporary and abstractive dimension through compositions and ruptures in constant evolution that do not allow a linear narrative\, but open to a common\, emotional\, energetic and empathic feeling. The shaping of the performance on the specific characteristics of each place and the inclusion of the people moving in the choreographic design and in the musical composition\, create a space of common freedom where you can choose and change point of view\, position and relationship with the stage action. \nAMIGDALA deals with the mechanism of trauma\, defined as that event produced in the organism by any agent capable of sudden and very rapid action\, which causes general alterations\, change\, transformation\, evolution. The organism is meant as the human body\, the social body\, common space and perceived time. It could be an illness\, an accident\, an earthquake\, a social or economic crisis\, a birth or a death\, but each time we would be faced with the need to reorganise and recreate a system that has shattered and split in order to generate itself again. \nAMIGDALA\, as the title suggests\, explores what happens in our cerebral amygdalae at that point of rupture and transformation\, investigates what our common dynamics of reaction and perception are\, and goes on to investigate how our emotional\, bodily and social intelligence behaves in the face of change. \nAMIGDALA is an emotional exploration\, a choral work\, a pagan and contemporary dance that celebrates the individual as a fundamental part of extended systems that break down and rebuild in the carousel of existence and time. It is a unique dancing organism\, a fragmented social body in continuous metamorphosis that challenges itself in the fall and in the change\, exorcising with the body the fear of diversity and of the unknown\, losing identities and inventing new ones. There is no single style or form for dance: the body continuously loses and reshapes itself in response to external stimuli\, becoming the scene of elusive dynamics. \nThe music\, composed by Francesco Arcuri\, comes from a composition he made during the first lockdown in 2020\, then opened\, fragmented and recomposed through rhythmic and sound explorations made with “broken” objects and musical instruments\, that is\, that have lost their main function but are provoked to a new sound and rehabilitated in the music.\nVoices and testimonies of real people who have offered their own stories following a trauma and words directed to the spectators\, enter the sound fabric and then leave it in an attempt to generate in the audience a direct experience of the functioning of their amygdalae and the emergence of emotions. \nTAV- cluster of Lombardy for living environments\, supported the first phase of topic research through workshops with experts\, clinicians\, psychotherapists\, neuroscientists and caregivers\, while the patients of the We Will Care project\, created the bridge with reality\, giving Amigdala their time\, their stories and their voices. \nAMIGDALA\, before being a performance\, wants to be a shared experience: a way to experience the real space through the ephemeral presence of dance in order to imagine it as well as see it\, to inhabit it as well as go through it. It is a provocation and a game\, an invitation and an occupation\, a macabre dance to exorcise fear and re-establish the ritual of celebration. \nSanpapié \nSanpapié was born in 2008 from the will of four newly graduated young people: Lara Guidetti\, dancer and choreographer\, Sarah Chiarcos\, playwright\, Marcello Gori\, musician\, and Fabio Ferretti\, organizer\, They were all interested in investigating the depths of their artistic research without forgetting their Excel sheets. Like all companies\, in 13 years it has gone through very different phases and seasons lost pieces only to find them again\, missed trains\, and won fundings\, but one thing that it has never done is to betray its original spirit: looking for the most special and impervious way to reach to the heart of the beholder. \nSanpapié has been and continues to be the home of a group of artists and producers in continuous motion\, constantly looking for new stimuli and new challenges. An extended family from Emilia-Milanese-Romagna-Genoese (with flashes of Campania\, Puglia\, Sicily\, and Tuscany) has not been afraid of growing and turning into a virtuous cultural enterprise. \nFrom 2015 to 2017\, Sanpapié has received the contribution of MiBACT as a dance production company; from 2017 to 2019 it won the Funder35 call of the Cariplo Foundation; from 2018 to 2020 it has obtained the contribution for ‘continuous activity by the Municipality of Milan and in its history\, it has performed in Italy\, in France\, the United Kingdom\, Spain\, Germany\, Portugal as well as China. \nsanpapie.com \nINFO & TICKETS \nTICKETS\nFull price: 9 euro\nReduced price under 30\, dance schools\, Liceo Coreutico Matilde di Canossa\, over 65: 6 euro\nUnder 8: free \nPURCHASING TICKETS\nIn compliance with anti-Covid regulations\, tickets can only be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it up to one hour before the performance.\nTherefore tickets cannot be booked by phone or by e-mail. \nThe ticket service in the Fonderia is suspended. \nTickets are not numbered. \nENTRANCE\nYou can enter the Fonderia 15 minutes before the performance\, showing your online purchase.\nAt the entrance\, the temperature will be tested and if the temperature exceeds 37.5°C\, you will not be allowed to enter and you must fill in the Covid self-certification form.\nIn order to avoid queues at the entrance\, please download the Covid self-certification form (it must be submitted on paper) and fill it in beforehand. Goodbye \nChoreography Laura Matano\nPerformers Diletta Antolini\, Melissa Bortolotti\, Francesco Corvino\nLighting design Gessica Germini\nMusic by various authors\nDuration 13’40” \nHere is the greeting you had to become.\nI awaited it comprehensively because in all our things there were sentences and redemptions.\nInside there is the desire to which I had to return to and which I had to preserve.\nA resolute control of aspirations is needed in order not to become a victim of them.\nYou are without siege\, and I am no longer a smile but the winter.\nCover yourself too.\nYou said that every body is seeking\, calling\, must fulfil itself.\nIt’s true\, here is the ritual to leave.\nI feel that you want to drag me into your space but I have chosen to let myself return to myself\, in symbiosis\nwith my wide gestures and without constraints.\nUntil they are accomplished we will guard our\nsleep\, but standing sideways\, to give access to nightmares.\nThen I will open my hands as if I am in a space of my own\, without having yours around me trying to\ntake one last close-up look. \nPrima di domani \nChoreography Laura Matano\nChoreography assistant Sabrina Rigoni\nPerformers Diletta Antolini\, Melissa Bortolotti\, Noemi Garofalo\, Sabrina Rigoni\nVisual Art Jessica Incerti Telani\nSet design Cinzia Macis\nDramaturgical preparation Stefano Masotti\nLighting Design Gessica Germini\nMusic various authors\nDuration 24’30” \nSurrendering to the earth with an exhausted gesture\, the body turns into a closed century.\nLet go.\nIntensity\, delicacy\, violence\, sincerity\, intimacy.\nTake it all in again and look after it. A game that never ends.\nEach time\, pain is a great discovery. Lightning\, like a black star.\nSomething is missing\, you begin to live without it\, as you search for the vanishing point of life. It scrapes the empty words\, invents a new language\, obtains by subtraction.\nIt is fear that comes but arrives together with courage.\nStrength. And courage.\nThey are needed.\nTo learn again where the cardinal points are and then the exact vertical.\nTo make the balance square again.\nYou devour existence.\nYou twist.\nA twist that digs into your side\, necessary to re-emerge. In the meantime a weeping flows\, heedless and in its own way hospitable.\nAnd you walk\, you go ahead in the disorder of destiny\, you obey the failure of time that falls on you\non you without you being able to stop it.\nIt affects us all.\nA compulsory\, obligatory passage\, no escaping\, no running away\, the bridge has collapsed.\nCount the hours\, the minutes.\nCount the seconds.\nIn fact\, look\, hold your head with your hand when you hear too much noise inside.\nTake your time. \nCompelled state of necessity.\nThat’s it\, you’ve got to get through it before tomorrow.\nAnd don’t forget it from tomorrow. \n  \nXL DANCE COMPANY \nIt was born in Reggio Emilia under the artistic direction of Emanuela Baratin and Laura Matano. \nThe aim of the dance company is to create performances by circulating choreographers and international realities. In XL Dance Company\, the movement\, the body\, the gestures become matter and surface for the individual and collective expression\, instruments of choreographic experimentation through methods and techniques supporting a creativity born from intuitions\, resonances and perceptions. The productions reflect the DNA of XL Dance Company\, which makes contamination between styles its distinctive feature. Open to innovation\, the dancers perform in important national and international festivals and theatres. \nstudioxlcontemporary.it \nINFO & TICKETS \nTICKETS\nFull price: 9 euro\nReduced price under 30\, dance schools\, Liceo Coreutico Matilde di Canossa\, over 65: 6 euro\nUnder 8: free \nPURCHASING TICKETS\nIn compliance with anti-Covid regulations\, tickets can only be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it up to one hour before the performance.\nTherefore tickets cannot be booked by phone or by e-mail. SUMMARY:SWANS_1
DESCRIPTION:What does it remain today of a choreographic work that is considered a milestone in the history of Western dance at the beginning of the 20th century? In what forms has it survived over time? Who will take up its legacy?\nThe project Swans Never Die invites audiences and artists to think about The Dying Swan as an opportunity to learn about the many forms of its existence over time\, since it was choreographed by Michel Fokine for Anna Pavlova in 1905.\nFollowing the stages of this journey through the history and memory of dance\, the spectator will be able to discover the bodies in which a choreographic work from the past survives\, who takes up its legacy and the values it can transmit today and in the future. \nThe evening Swans_1 includes new creations by Chiara Bersani\, Philippe Kratz e Silvia Gribaudi.\nThe performance will be followed by a talk hosted by the journalist Greta Pieropan.\n \nSwans never die is a project conceived and realised by :\nLavanderia a Vapore – Centro di Residenza per la Danza (gestito da un raggruppamento temporaneo di organismi formato da Piemonte dal Vivo\, Coorpi\, Didee Arti e Comunicazione\, Mosaico Danza\, Zerogrammi)\nOperaestate Festival Veneto e Centro per la Scena Contemporanea CSC Bassano del Grappa\nTriennale Milano Teatro\nFondazione Teatro Grande di Brescia\nFestival Bolzano Danza – Fondazione Haydn\nIl Cassero LGBTI Center – Gender Bender Festival\nMnemedance\nUniversità degli Studi di Torino – Corso di laurea in DAMS\n \n \nL’Animale \nBy and with Chiara Bersani\nScene and light Valeria Foti\nWith the collaboration of Richard Gargiulo and Sergio Seghettini\nVocal playwright Francesca Della Monica\nAssistance to dramaturgy and promotion Giulia Traversi\nAssistance to creation Marco D’Agostin / Elena Giannotti\nSupport to the creative process Federica Della Pozza\nProduction corpoceleste c.c.0.0 #\nCo-production Operaestate Festival/CSC\, Fabbrica Europa\, Bolzano Danza |TanzBozen\, Gender Bender Festival. \n  \nThe animal is standing still.\nThe animal is a house.\nThe animal is a war memorial.\nDid the animal fall?\nNo. The animal was under the table when everything was falling.\nDoes the animal travel?\nNo. There’s too much debris.\nHe could get hurt. More than this?\nMore than this might kill it.\nThe animal hears ghosts.\nThe animal chose them. \nIf you want to meet the animal\, you have to ask permission.\nChiara Bersani \n  \n  \nOpen Drift \nChoreography Philippe Kratz\nDancers Antonio Tafuni and Nagga Giona Baldina\nOriginal music Borderline Order\nOn commission of Festival Operaestate-Bassano del Grappa  \nThe Dying Swan by Anna Pavlova and Michel Fokine is a representation of the final moments of a living creature and it alludes to the idea of transformation. We are observing a creature transforming itself into a different state of existence.\nIn a spiritual and philosophical perspective\, we tend to use the word “passage” when referring to death because we see this process as a process of transition\, just as all life can be seen as a sequence of transformations.\nBut is it possible to encapsulate a single moment in time? With this duet\, I wanted to try. \nThe physical research is based on the idea of floating and fluctuating. Two bodies meet by chance because the currents of life have brought them together in the open sea. Something firm and resolute appears in their bearing as if they are determined to make the most out of their encounter. They know they have been accidentally brought together\, but they also know that\, for this brief moment\, one will be the only witness to the existence of the other\, and vice versa\, before drifting off again in different directions\, disconnected and unrelated\, but potentially transformed for the better.\nPhilippe Kratz\n \nOpen Drift has been created in a personal moment of transition of the choreographer and it is the result of the two-way exchange between Philippe Kratz\, at the end of his career as a dancer\, and the two young performers\, at the beginning of their working experience. \nPeso Piuma \nby and with Silvia Gribaudi\nMusic Nicola Ratti\nWith the collaboration of Associazione Culturale Zebra\nPeso Piuma was created as part of the project SWANS NEVER DIE \nPeso Piuma is a performance inspired by the first version of The Dying Swan created by Michel Fokine and danced by Anna Pavlova. \nIn her interpretation\, Anna Pavlova included in the choreography movements that were expressions of her own feelings\, performing a revolutionary act that betrayed the codes of the dance of the 1900s: Choreographers’ and dancers’ roles became blurred.\nThe dance that was staged belonged to both the choreographer and the performer\, it was impossible to know how much belonged to one or the other.\nThe dance that was staged belonged to both choreographer and performer\, it was impossible to know how much belonged to one or the other.\nWhich is the invisible legacy that remains for those who will dance that choreography?\nHow is a movement transmitted and re-interpreted?\nWhere do the past and the present meet in the body? How does the gesture go beyond time? \nIn a 15-minute performance\, together with the public\, I explore the intimacy of the body\, the abandonment to it. I reconstruct new movements\, with effort and happiness\, repeating those arms and that broken neck of Pavlova.\nI have tried to start from those steps that give impetus to the fall. It is a fall in order to get up again.\nSilvia Gribaudi \n \nGreta Pieropan \nGreta Pieropan has a background in Modern Philology and Literature Studies\, with a focus on journalism and performing arts. She works with festivals and dance companies on communicating dance to professional and non-professional audiences. Her personal research includes dance dramaturgy\, as a tool for the creative process and for developing a positive exchange between artists and audiences and researching new narratives for contemporary dance. \nInfo & Tickets \nTICKETS\nFull price: 3 euro\nUnder 6: free \nPURCHASING TICKETS\nIn compliance with anti-Covid regulations\, tickets can only be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it up to one hour before the performance.\nTherefore tickets cannot be booked by phone or by e-mail. Access to Fonderia is only allowed prior to the presentation of a valid Green Pass certification\, excluding the children under the age of 12 and to subjects exempted on the basis of suitable medical certification – according to the criteria defined by the Ministry of Health. SUMMARY:Don Juan
DESCRIPTION:From 4 to 7 November\, at Teatro Olimpico in Rome\, Aterballetto performs Don Juan\, the full evening production by Johan Inger. \n
