SUMMARY:Wolf - ''O'' - BLISS
DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto dances at the prestigious Holland Dance Festival an evening signed by Hofesh Shechter\, Philippe Kratz and Johan Inger. \nIn Wolf by Hofesh Shechter we find a sort of wild animality\, which sometimes crosses men and sometimes women. The painting that is composed drags us a mysterious and engaging universe. “O” is a beautiful duo with an unstoppable rhythm signed by Philippe Kratz. At the end\, we close with the contagious joy of BLISS by Johan Inger. \n\n

SUMMARY:Patchwork\, un mosaico di storie
DESCRIPTION:Patchwork\, un mosaico di storie\, written and directed by four hands\, is the result of an international co-production.\nThe production has two twin castles\, one Italian and one Canadian. The show\, more visual and expressive than words\, deals with the theme of identity in today’s contemporary and multicultural society by staging the meeting of two characters who express themselves in Italian\, English and French without hindering the understanding of the story. \nCANCELLED PERFORMANCE\nFondazione Nazionale della Danza informs\, according to the DPCM of March 4th\, 2020\, on “Measures to combat and contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus on the entire national territory”\, being evidently of absolute inapplicability the possibility to allow places of theatrical performance to respect the interpersonal distance of at least 1 meter\, the SUSPENSION until April 3rd of all activities scheduled in its spaces. \n  \nCredits \nText and direction Cristina Cazzola and Carol Cassistat\nWritten in collaboration with Lucio Diana\nWith Sara Zoia and Daniele Tessaro\nSet and Lighting Design Lucio Diana\nOriginal music Nicolas Jobin \nProduction Accademia Perduta/Romagna Teatri\, Théâtre du Gros Mécano (Québec City)\, Signs of Childhood Association\, Atrium de Chaville (Paris)\, Musée national des beaux arts du Québec (Paris)\, Museo Benaki (Athens) \nDuration 55′ \nRecommended age from 5 years old and up \nThe inspiration \nWho are we?\nHow do we create our identity? \nWe started with an image.\nA patchwork blanket\, a courtepointe as they call it in Québec\, made of many different pieces of fabric. \nOften woven by several hands\, it can tell the story of a person\, an event\, an entire family or a generation. It speaks of the identity made up of many different fragments\, it speaks of us\, and of our being multicultural\, of humanity that is increasingly multicolored and multi-ethnic\, but with intertwining roots. \nFamily stories and family trees that can only contain and be the fruit of many journeys. An identity generated by encounters and clashes\, the fruit of a thousand migrations.\nAnd so our private history\, our identity\, a mosaic of stories that starting from Africa with our ancestor Lucy the first Australopithecus\, retraces the great journeys of humanity. \nThe plot \nTwo characters meet in a place without space or time. \nHe’s an anthropologist\, she’s a seamstress and they meet for work in a place of passage\, an airport. \nThey do not speak the same language but by communicating with looks\, gestures and simple words using the narrative power of objects they create a common language that makes communication possible and fun. \nEvery detail of their luggage tells something\, some objects bring them together\, others surprise them and so they begin to tell about family trips and adventures. The meeting soon turns into a theatrical game where adults and children are involved in the reflection on two questions that have always accompanied us: who we are and where we come from. \nAn amusing journey back through the branches of family trees and the migrations that have built the history of humanity\, to discover that\, since ever\, our identity is a patchwork\, part of a larger story where each of us is a unique and indispensable piece. \n\n\n
