SUMMARY:Stravaganze in sol minore
DESCRIPTION:Stravaganze in sol minore by Francesca Lattuada arrives at the Teatro Moruzzi in Noceto\, near Parma.\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe magical virtuosity of Toti Scialoja (1914–1998)—a master not only of images but also of words—lies at the heart of this new creation by the Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto for children and young audiences\, where a dancer and an actor play with his language. \nThe almost magical vibrations that spring from Scialoja’s poems are like the endless ripples that form on the surface of water when a stone is thrown: evokers of unreal or hyper-real images\, bearers of a musicality that blends poetry and nursery rhyme\, allowing the extraordinary and the frightening to meet. \nBeneath a bush of scarlet rosesThe toad serves hot tea with milk.Beneath a bush of peacock-hued rosesIt’s the toad’s turn to rinse the cups.(Toti Scialoja\, La mela di Amleto\, 1984) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCREDITS \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDirection and choreography: Francesca LattuadaTexts: Toti Scialoja (from La mela di Amleto)Music: The Klezmorin\, Gustav Mahler\, Dean Martin\, Clara RockmoreMasks and props: Natali FortierPerformers: Vittoria Franchina\, Rocco Ancarola \nCo-production: Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto and Centro Teatrale BrescianoIn co-production with Centro Servizi Culturali Santa Chiara \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wouh0x0D4HQ \n

SUMMARY:White Pages
DESCRIPTION:White Pages by Manfredi Perego opens the 2026 season of Danza in Fonderia.\n \nSaturday\, January 17\, 2026 – 6:00 PM: Open rehearsal \nSunday\, January 18\, 2026 – 6:00 PM: Performance \nFonderia – Via della Costituzione 39\, Reggio Emilia \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nManfredi Perego presents an intimate triptych of solos—three tableaux that are at once three personal dedications and three starting points for future choreographic investigations. \nEstemporanea\, danced by Manfredi Perego\, is a research project shaped by the desires and curiosities of the author’s poetics—such as silence\, speech\, the body\, and dynamics. Estemporanea seeks to release the generative potential of the present moment\, making improvisation its primary language. \nDedica al tempo is not a journey into memory\, but a liberation of the body\, of experience\, of the will to remain on the threshold. Time\, conceived as a space for creative urgency rather than haste\, is explored through the body of Lucia Nicolussi\, the artist’s seventy-year-old mother. \nWith Dedica al silenzio\, Manfredi Perego composes for dancer Chiara Montalbani a melody made of sharp and nuanced frequencies. Silence is sought as a creative struggle that makes room for generative madness\, giving it form and order. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \nCREDITS \nEstemporanea \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nchoreography: Manfredi Peregoperformer: Manfredi Peregoproduction: Tir danza MP.ideograms \n\nDedica al tempo \nchoreography: Manfredi Peregoperformer: Lucia Nicolussiproduction: Tir danza MP.ideogramsco-production: MILANoLTRE Festival \n\nDedica al silenzio \nchoreography: Manfredi Peregoperformer: Chiara Montalbaniproduction: Tir danza MP.ideogramsco-production: MILANoLTRE Festival \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nManfredi Perego \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHe graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna and continued his dance training while simultaneously beginning his professional career as a freelance dancer in Switzerland and Germany. \nIn 2014\, he founded MP.ideograms\, and the following year he made his debut at the Equilibrio Festival and at the Vetrina della Giovane Danza d’Autore in Ravenna. \nIn 2016\, he took part in the “VITA NOVA” project of the Venice Biennale with the first chapter of the project Primitiva\, which continued in 2017 at Scenario Pubblico in Catania. SUMMARY:NOTTE MORRICONE
DESCRIPTION:In the prestigious setting of the Pays de Danses Festival in Liège\, Aterballetto performs Notte Morricone by Marcos Morau on January 23 and 24\, 2026.\n“I\, Ennio Morricone\, am dead\,” wrote the composer before taking his leave. His music\, however\, cannot die. This is how creators and artists always leave us without ever truly leaving\, and how memory takes care to keep them alive\, to keep them safe. Notte Morricone is my gift\, a devoted tribute to the beauty he gave to the world.Notte Morricone unfolds in the twilight of an ordinary night in the life of a creative spirit who\, alone and dazed before his papers\, jots down notes and envisions melodies for films that do not yet exist\, bringing stories back to life in the rarefied air of his room.Marcos Morau – Director and Choreographer \nIt is impossible to describe Notte Morricone\, a masterful work that washes over the spectator in waves\, embraces them with emotional currents\, and captivates them with the memory of timeless melodies that have long outlived the images that first inspired them. Equally enchanting is the finely chiselled\, ever-poetic choreography\, composed with meticulous attention to detail: legs and necks seem jointless\, bending and snapping rhythmically like metronomes.Maria Luisa Buzzi – Danza&Danza \nDuration: 90 minutesFind out more » \nThe performances are held in collaboration with the Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and with the Italian Cultural Institute of Brussels.

SUMMARY:Il combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda
DESCRIPTION:Il Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda arrives at Palazzo Bentivoglio in Gualtieri.\n \nSunday\, January 25\, 20263:00 PM and 5:00 PM \n \nThe Fondazione Museo Antonio Ligabue has a dream: to transform the Salone dei Giganti of Palazzo Bentivoglio into a living theatre. Together with choreographer Philippe Kratz\, we explore the idea of bodies as mirrors\, thus narrating an humanity struggling against itself. Eros and Thanatos emerge as equally powerful forces\, creating a paradoxical atmosphere in this perfectly balanced struggle between human beings. In our vision\, Tancredi and Clorinda are contemporary warriors\, indissolubly bound to one another\, forced to fight and to enact a story that has already been written. \nA single voice brings three characters to life: the text itself\, Tancredi\, and Clorinda merge into the body and sound of a single singer. This estranged sound\, constrained within a circular path\, creates a sense of constant repetition\, underscoring the endless cycle of this story of love and death—tragically destined to repeat itself through the centuries and reach us today with all its force\, as an emanation of the poetic power of Tasso’s words and the sublime music of Monteverdi. \nFabio Cherstich\, Director \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nINNER STRUGGLE \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn Tasso’s narrative\, set to music by Claudio Monteverdi\, the most obvious themes are the struggle between woman and man and religious conversion. Yet these are also the aspects I find least intriguing: translating them into dance would risk reducing the work to a narrative of factual circumstances. \nA more philosophical or psychoanalytic reading of this struggle—one from which both protagonists emerge defeated\, deceived\, and alone—appears far more compelling to me. Within the opposition of the two roles there already exists an entire world: seeking one another\, confronting one another\, and wounding one another. The dynamic is that of a warlike\, conflictual ritual between two entities that draw closer. The absurdity of the act becomes evident when one of the two loses their life and we realize that the other\, in any case\, has not won… a deep\, shared wound that remains on both bodies. \nSo are these two people fighting each other\, or is it perhaps one person struggling with themselves? \nPhilippe Kratz\, Choreographer \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n

SUMMARY:NOTTE MORRICONE

Through artistic experimentation\, dancers and musicians push beyond the traditional boundaries of composition\, creating short performances (15–20 minutes) that express the intensity of this encounter. \nSaturday\, February 7 – 8:30 PMFonderia\, Reggio Emilia \nSimone Zanchini – accordionMatilde Di Ciolo and Matteo Capetola – dancers \nFrom 7:30 PM\, aperitif curated by Mercato del Tricolore / Campagna Amica \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJX-lPCGkvY&list=RDeJX-lPCGkvY&start_radio=1 \nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9imfew2wUh4 \nInfo & Tickets \nTICKETS \n \n€10 \n \n \nTICKET PURCHASE \n \nONLINE: https://www.biglietteriafonderia39.it/home.aspxFonderia box office: the box office opens one hour before the start of the performance(Via della Costituzione 39\, Reggio Emilia). \n \nTickets are not numbered. \n \n \nBOOKING CONTACTS \n \nMobile & WhatsApp: +39 334 1023554Email: biglietteria@aterballetto.it

SUMMARY:BOW
DESCRIPTION:BOW – open rehearsal \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFor the first time\, Gaetano Palermo and Michele Petrosino are guests of the Danza in Fonderia programme.\nAudiences will have the opportunity to attend the work in progress of BOW\, a new choreographic project that investigates the act of bowing as a gesture shaped and traversed by time. \nFar from being a form of praise\, BOW explores the bow as an ambiguous and layered bodily gesture which\, throughout history\, has taken on strong social\, political\, and cultural meanings. Suspended between a turning inward and an opening toward the other\, the gesture becomes a site of tension between recognition and submission\, intimacy and public representation. \nThrough the performers’ bodies\, BOW reactivates the memory of this gesture in the present\, making visible the temporal dynamics that continue to inhabit our bodies today. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \nCREDITS \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\na performance by Gaetano Palermo\, Michele Petrosinosound design: Luca Galliolighting design: to be defined \nproduction: KLmwith the support of SIAE – Per Chi Creawith the support of SupportER – Rete Anticorpi Emilia-Romagna \nSupported by MiC and SIAE\, in the framework of the programme “Per Chi Crea” \n\n  \n\n  \n\n  \n\n  \n\n  \n\n  \n\n\nDISCOVER MORE \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBow is a choreographic project centred on the act of bowing or reverence (in English bow)\, a gesture typical of theatrical and religious contexts and also widespread—though in different forms and modes—within social practices of greeting\, recognition\, and consent. Through a form of writing embodied in the performers’ bodies\, the project aims to develop an analysis of the tensions and ambiguities inherent in this gesture\, retracing its history through a catalogue of its variations in order to grasp its sociopolitical and psychological implications. \nAt once a folding inward toward the self and an opening toward the other\, the practice of bowing or reverence is a sign of acknowledging a presence perceived as possessing vital\, worldly\, or divine power. This recognition—of which the bow is the bodily manifestation—corresponds to a human disposition of dependence\, obligation\, service\, or prayer\, oriented toward transcending a limit or obtaining a gift\, a grace. Situated on the threshold between subjective intimacy and public representation\, this gesture takes on different meanings depending on the degree of bending\, ranging from a simple inclination of the head to kneeling or complete prostration. Abnegation and salvation\, servility and power coexist within a physical tension that finds in the bow its fragile yet potent measure. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPALERMO / PETROSINO \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPalermo/Petrosino is a duo formed by Gaetano Palermo and Michele Petrosino\, working at the intersection of contemporary dance and visual arts. Their research investigates the ontology of movement—from stillness to transformation—with a strong focus on perceptual devices and on the relationship between body\, image\, and gaze. Their work has been supported and presented by institutions and festivals such as La Biennale di Venezia\, Triennale Milano\, MAMbo Bologna\, Fondazione I Teatri di Reggio Emilia\, Teatro Regio di Parma\, Santarcangelo Festival\, and Kilowatt Festival. In 2025\, they won the SIAE – Per Chi Crea grant with BOW. \nGaetano Palermo\, whose background spans philosophy\, performing arts\, and visual arts (University of Bologna\, IUAV Venice\, Academy of Kassel)\, has worked with artists including Bruce Nauman\, Romeo Castellucci\, Chiara Guidi\, Claudia Castellucci\, and Tamara Cubas. He has presented his work at the Venice Biennale and in national and international festivals and contexts. \nMichele Petrosino\, an artist and performer with training in theatre\, dance\, and literary studies (University of Bologna)\, has collaborated with Kinkaleri\, Nico Vascellari\, and Bruce Nauman\, and was a performer in Bros by Romeo Castellucci (2021–2023). Together with Palermo\, he is the author of Still\, winner of the CosmoGiani Award 2024. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nINFO & TICKETS \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS€3 for everyone / free admission for children under 6 \nTICKET PURCHASE \nTickets can be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it. \nThe Fonderia box office opens one hour before the start of the performance. \nSeats are not numbered. \nCONTACTS \nMobile & WhatsApp: +39 334 1023554

SUMMARY:Macbeth study
DESCRIPTION:Macbeth study – open rehearsal \nDanza in Fonderia opens its doors to an open rehearsal of Macbeth Study\, a new work by Monica Casadei with her company Compagnia Artemis Danza.\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAn immersion into the creative process that reinterprets William Shakespeare’s masterpiece through the body\, rhythm\, and the tension of inner time. Ambition\, power\, and destiny take shape in an intense\, visceral choreographic writing\, where movement becomes a space of conflict and transformation. A unique opportunity to witness the birth of a creation up close and the living dialogue between dance and dramaturgy. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOriginally from Ferrara and graduating summa cum laude with a thesis on Plato and dance\, Monica Casadei\, after a competitive career in rhythmic gymnastics\, devoted herself to the study of classical and modern dance—first in Italy\, then in London\, and finally in Paris. There she met choreographers Pierre Doussaint and Isabelle Doubouloz\, as well as master André Cognard Hanshi So Shihan\, with whom she still practices the martial art of Aikido. In France she founded Compagnia Artemis Danza\, relocating to Italy in 1997 and initiating an intense production activity that to date includes over forty original creations. From 1998 to 2007\, the company was artist-in-residence at Fondazione Teatro Due\, and since 2014 it has held an artistic residency at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna. Artemis Danza has been invited to perform in major Italian theatres and festivals\, as well as on numerous international tours and festival circuits. \nCentral to Monica Casadei’s artistic research are cross-pollination with different artistic\, cultural\, and geographical contexts\, alongside the exploration of urban spaces that become stages for performative actions. \nAlongside its production activity\, Artemis Danza supports\, produces\, and promotes emerging artists and develops a wide range of audience development and educational initiatives. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nINFO & TICKETS \nTICKETS€3 for all / free admission for children under 6 \n \nTICKET PURCHASE \n \nTickets can be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it. \n \nThe on-site box office at Fonderia opens one hour before the start of the performance. \n \nTickets are unnumbered. \n \nCONTACTS \n \nMobile & WhatsApp: +39 334 102 3554

The title is drawn from her collection of poems of the same name—an erotic and proto-punk manifesto. \nDance\, lecture performance\, poetry reading\, workout: sweat becomes a pathway to explore the intertwining of effort and pleasure\, the binding force of a heterogeneous collage of danced and textual materials. Love letters between friends and lovers. Waterless gymnastics in tiger-print leotards. A poem for the Baroness. A split dedicated to her. Dada(umpa). \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nMy interest in her writings—bold and long overlooked—stems from their ability to weave subtexts into her poetry\, particularly around female eroticism. A proto-punk\, neurotic\, kleptomaniac\, and man-hunter\, the Baroness left behind a legacy that paved the way for the eccentric divas of the 21st century (from Courtney Love to Lady Gaga). \nBorrowing the title of her only poetry collection\, BODY SWEATS\, I imagine a choreography that seeps from bodily materiality. From this perspective\, sweat becomes both a trace and a stimulus for investigating the interweaving of effort\, pleasure\, and empowerment. The project explores our relationship with systems of discipline—especially rich in subtext when viewed through the backgrounds of dancers\, ranging from ballet to aqua gym and fitness culture. In the studio\, the work revisits these familiar movement languages from a feminist “I\,” reflecting on how their meaning can be rewritten through practice itself. \n\n \nGiorgia Lolli \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGIORGIA LOLLI \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGiorgia Lolli (Reggio Emilia\, 1996) earned a Master’s degree in Choreography from University of the Arts Helsinki (Uniarts) in 2025 and\, over the past three years\, has worked between Italy and Finland. Since 2022\, she has been teaching Dance Well – Movement Research for Parkinson’s within the European project coordinated by Operaestate. \nHer choreographic work has been presented on several national and international platforms\, including Anghiari Dance Hub (2020)\, Vetrina della Giovane Danza d’Autore (2021)\, SIAE Per Chi Crea (2023)\, Nuovo Forno del Pane (2023)\, and MAMbo – Museo di Arte Moderna di Bologna. \nWith EAT ME\, winner of DNAppunti Coreografici\, she made her debut at the Romaeuropa Festival in 2024. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nINFO & TICKETS \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS€3 for all / free admission for children under 6 \nTICKET PURCHASE \nTickets can be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it. \nThe box office at Fonderia opens one hour before the start of the performance. \nTickets are unnumbered. \nCONTACTS \nMobile & WhatsApp: +39 334 102 3554

DESCRIPTION:Girls just wanna have… FREEDOM \nThe Italian premiere of Sabotage by Sara Angius and Johanna Ehlert takes place in Reggio Emilia\, as part of Dance Week\, celebrating female creativity.\nThrough an ironic yet profound play of movement\, dancers and puppets manipulate one another within a living web of control\, freedom\, and poetic rebellion. \n\n“Sabotage\, as a guest performance in Halle\, brings puppets to life and turns people into marionettes. Magnificent.”\n— Anja Falgowski\, 3 November 2024 \n\nhttps://vimeo.com/1060841213?fl=tl&fe=ec \nCREDITS \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nConcept\, choreography\, production: Sara AngiusConcept\, staging\, set design\, figures: Johanna EhlertPerformers: Sara Angius\, Vittoria Franchina\, Joshua Haines\, Stefano RovedaLighting design: Tommaso Contu \nCo-production and support: Kulturhaus Steinfurth (DE)\, Eisfabrik Hannover (DE)\, Blick Théâtre (FR)\, Puppentheater Halle (DE)\, MWK Niedersächsisches Ministerium für Wissenschaft und Kultur (DE)\, Stiftung Niedersachsen (DE)\, SBK Stiftung Braunschweigischer Kulturbesitz (DE)\, Kulturbüro der Landeshauptstadt Hannover (DE)\, Kulturbüro der Stadt Braunschweig (DE)\, Die Braunschweigische Stiftung (DE)\, Lessingtheater Wolfenbüttel (DE)\, Jahrmarkttheater Bostelwiebek (DE) \nWith the support of: TANZKOOP Braunschweig (DE)\, Landesverband Freie Darstellende Künste in Niedersachsen (DE)\, Theater Fadenschein (DE)\, Festival Danse Élargie (FR) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDISCOVER MORE \nIt has always been this way\, and it always will be. It traps those who reject it\, because it is part of our nature: the desire for freedom and power. There are those who live under the illusion of their own autonomy\, without trying to escape the dance. And there are those who keep fighting—naively\, selfishly\, trustingly\, stubbornly\, blindly—unable to see through all the veils of our man-made world. Groping in the darkness of our hierarchical existence\, at any cost. And what if this were the very meaning of being alive? \n \nSABOTAGE speaks literally about manipulation\, about pulling the strings. What is reality? What becomes of our free will in an era in which we have all the means to be the most advanced generation in human history? We take refuge in illusory digital worlds\, allow algorithms to guide our actions\, let fake news shape our perception of reality\, present ourselves through filters in order to better adapt to this unreal world. \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSABOTAGE casts a humorous and dramatic gaze on human nature. How much of our free will is real\, and how much is just another illusion—another carefully constructed part of the system?Without words\, using only virtuosic movement\, it builds a metaphor of interdependence\, power\, and the human struggle with reality and illusion: who is manipulating whom? \nAn original form of puppet theatre in which reality and appearance merge into a single dance—poetic\, sensitive\, raw\, profound\, absurd\, shocking\, jarring.Human.A work that belongs to no box. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSARA ANGIUS \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSara Angius is an Italian contemporary dancer and choreographer based in Braunschweig\, Germany. Her artistic research deeply explores the existential and inner dimensions of the human being\, investigating emotional states that lie beneath the surface and the boundaries between reality\, imagination\, and perception. Her work develops through an interdisciplinary language that blends contemporary dance\, puppet theatre\, object animation\, physical theatre\, and illusionism\, with the aim of stimulating the audience’s imagination and transcending traditional rules of stage perception. \nShe received her professional training at the DanceHaus Academy in Milan and also completed a degree in Communication Sciences for the Performing Arts at the University of Milan. Angius began her career as a performer in international companies and projects\, including the Staatstheater Braunschweig\, and through collaborations with artists such as James Thierrée for Frôlons at the Opéra Garnier in Paris. \nAs a choreographer\, she has gained recognition at international festivals: she was awarded at the Stuttgart International Solo-Tanz-Theater Festival\, and her duo The Fish Bowl won first prize at the Certamen Internacional de Coreografía Burgos–New York. \nIn recent years\, she has expanded her practice to include film production\, creating INCOGNITUM\, her first dance film\, which has been presented and awarded at international festivals. She also works as a teacher and guest choreographer in European institutions and dance festivals. Since 2024\, she has collaborated with the Institute of Dance Arts at the Anton Bruckner Private University\, and since 2022 she has been an active member of the artistic cooperative TANZKOOP\, supporting the independent dance scene. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nINFO & TICKETS \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETSFull price: €10Reduced price (under 30\, dance schools\, Liceo Coreutico Matilde di Canossa\, over 65\, CRAL Comune di Reggio Emilia members): €6Reduced price (under 8): €3 \nTICKET PURCHASE \nTickets can be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it. \nThe box office at Fonderia opens one hour before the start of the performance. \nTickets are unnumbered. \nCONTACTS \nMobile & WhatsApp: +39 334 102 3554

SUMMARY:K.I.nd of Human
DESCRIPTION:Girls just wanna have… HUMANITY \nWith K.I.nd of Human by Roberta Pisu / Arcis_collective\, Dance Week celebrating female creativity comes with the sound of the sax!\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCan AI create art? Four dancers and four saxophones reclaim art as a profoundly human act\, starting from a reflection on the immense potential of artificial intelligence. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSmhB06d4so \nCREDITS \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArtistic direction and choreography: Roberta PisuComposition: Leonhard KuhnMusic: Arcis Saxophon QuartettDancers: Edoardo Cino\, Fabio Calvisi\, Vittoria Franchina\, Sofia CaspriniCostume curation: Bregje van BalenTailoring: Lucia ZettlChoreography assistant: Francesca PoglieFilming: Florian Leuschner\, Georg StirnweißVideo editing: Alfonso Fernández SánchezPhotos: Martin Misere\, Georg Stirnweiß\, Robert Fischer\, Luca Di BartoloProduction: arcis_collective \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDISCOVER MORE \nK.I.nd of Human is a 60-minute performance featuring four dancers and four musicians\, exploring the ever-evolving relationship between humanity and artificial intelligence. \n \nPremiered in 2022 in Munich\, the work investigates the immense potential of AI while also addressing its inherent limitations—the most evident being its inability to experience mortality. With an original score by Leonhard Kuhn\, composed in collaboration with artificial intelligence\, the music gradually shifts from electronic to acoustic\, reflecting a journey from the artificial to the human. \n \nThe performance opens with musicians playing saxophones submerged underwater\, their sounds interwoven with electronic compositions—metaphorically evoking the birth of humanoids. As the piece unfolds\, both music and movement progressively shed layers of artificiality\, culminating in a fully acoustic finale that celebrates the fleeting beauty of human existence. \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn an era in which artificial intelligence is increasingly embedded in our lives\, K.I.nd of Human raises profound questions: what truly defines us as human beings? The work focuses on three fundamental qualities—physicality\, transience\, and uniqueness. Human consciousness is inseparable from the body; every experience is singular and finite\, shaped by the inevitability of life and death\, which give depth and meaning to our existence. AI\, while intelligent\, lacks this physical and emotional temporality. Rather than merely critiquing technology\, the production enters into dialogue with it\, challenging widespread fears surrounding the rise of AI and inviting audiences to explore its unknown possibilities. \nCan AI create art? Art requires self-awareness\, intention\, and a unique perspective—traits that artificial intelligence\, despite its advances\, may never fully possess. During rehearsals\, AI acted as a creative partner\, suggesting choreographic and musical ideas. However\, it was the human artists who shaped and interpreted these inputs\, revealing that the essence of art may remain an intrinsically human mystery—one that AI\, no matter how advanced\, is not yet able to replicate. And yet\, as technology continues to evolve\, the boundaries between the artificial and the organic remain uncertain\, prompting us to question how much of ourselves we are willing to surrender to the machine. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRoberta Pisu / Arcis_collective \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRoberta Pisu (Cagliari\, 1984) is an Italian dancer and choreographer. After training in France at the Académie de Danse Classique Princesse Grace and completing a Bachelor’s degree in Contemporary Dance at the Accademia Nazionale di Danza\, she developed an international career\, collaborating with leading choreographers such as William Forsythe\, Wayne McGregor\, Jacopo Godani\, Marco Goecke\, Emanuel Gat\, and Ismael Ivo. From 2012 to 2023 she was a soloist at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich\, where she also launched an intensive choreographic practice\, creating numerous works for the theatre. \nIn 2020\, she co-founded arcis_collective in Munich together with the Arcis Saxophon Quartett\, serving as its Artistic Director. The collective was created with the aim of merging chamber music and contemporary dance into a unified performative experience\, in which musicians and dancers fully share the stage. Inspired by the intimacy and emotional depth of chamber music\, arcis_collective addresses social and cultural themes through a contemporary language\, fostering a strong interaction between sound\, body\, and stage presence. \nWith arcis_collective\, Roberta Pisu has created numerous works presented in theatres\, festivals\, and non-conventional spaces in Germany and Italy\, including HEIMAT\, 2xGETANZT\, K.I.nd of Human\, Quirky Night Club Chronicles\, Live.Love.Arcis\, LUX\, and WHITE. Alongside her creative work\, since 2024 she has been teaching choreographic composition at the Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance\, continuing her research into the dialogue between music and movement and the redefinition of the boundaries of the performing arts. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nINFO & TICKETS \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETSFull price: €10Reduced price (under 30\, dance schools\, Liceo Coreutico Matilde di Canossa\, over 65\, CRAL Comune di Reggio Emilia members): €6Reduced price (under 8): €3 \nTICKET PURCHASE \nTickets can be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it. \nThe box office at Fonderia opens one hour before the start of the performance. \nTickets are unnumbered. \nCONTACTS \nMobile & WhatsApp: +39 334 102 3554

SUMMARY:Dreamers
DESCRIPTION:At the Teatro Sociale in Brescia\, Aterballetto performs Dreamers\, an evening featuring choreographies by Tortelli\, Kratz\, Preljocaj\, and Pite.\nA single evening unites the signature of Crystal Pite—the most sought-after choreographer across Europe and North America—with those of Diego Tortelli and Philippe Kratz\, two of the most exciting and acclaimed under-40 creators on the international scene. Completing the program is a duet by Angelin Preljocaj\, a choreographer long considered among the greats of contemporary dance. \nDreamers opens with Preludio by Diego Tortelli from Brescia\, a love letter to the body for five dancers\, built around some of the most intense poems and songs by Australian singer-songwriter Nick Cave\, whose unmistakable voice envelops the audience. \nAt the heart of the evening is O by Philippe Kratz\, former leading dancer of Aterballetto and now a choreographer in demand by major theatres worldwide. In a state of emotional transcendence\, we witness the encounter between human and robot—two entities moving together to the endless rhythm of their unstoppable hearts. \nThis is followed by Reconciliatio by Angelin Preljocaj\, a duet set to Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata that explores reconciliation through a poetic and impressionistic lens\, inspired by a devoted yet non-literal reading of the Apocalypse. \nThe evening closes with the soft snowstorm of Solo Echo by Crystal Pite\, inspired by two sonatas for cello and piano by Johannes Brahms and the profound verses of Mark Strand. On stage\, one breathes the winter of the soul: time slows down\, and the body becomes a vessel for moving and powerful introspection. With delicacy and intensity\, Pite reflects on loss\, the acceptance of change\, and the mystery of resilience. \n  \n\n

One of the pioneers of twentieth-century choreographic revolutions\, Loïe Fuller\, was the subject of her graduation thesis. \nFrom a young age\, she trained in artistic gymnastics and classical dance\, later deepening her study of contemporary dance in Italy and in several other countries\, including France\, Spain\, Belgium\, and England. She has collaborated extensively as a performer\, among others with choreographer Tomas Aragay (cia Societat Doctor Alonso – Spain) and\, from 2005 to 2010\, with Virgilio Sieni. She began her activity as a choreographer in 2005\, developing a path of research and production working with professional dancers and performers\, as well as with children\, adolescents\, amateurs\, asylum seekers\, and second-generation young immigrants. \nSimona Bertozzi practices a form of dance in which choreography becomes a territory of events—a complex system inhabited by the body—resulting from practices\, thoughts\, and disciplines that make creation a layered entity in dialogue with the present. In 2007 she won the GD’A (Giovani Danzautori dell’Emilia-Romagna) choreographic competition\, and in 2008 she founded Compagnia Simona Bertozzi | Associazione Culturale Nexus. \nOver the years\, her projects have received support and hosting from major regional\, Italian\, and European networks through co-productions and choreographic residencies\, with national and international touring. In 2008\, she was the Italian choreographer selected for the Aerowaves festival at The Place Theatre (London)\, and in the same year\, with the solo Terrestre\, she took part in the international project Choreoroam\, supported by the British Council / The Place\, Dansateliers (Rotterdam)\, and Bassano Opera Festival. \nWith the collective Gemelli Kessler (Simona Bertozzi\, Marcello Briguglio\, Celeste Taliani)\, she won Il Coreografo Elettronico 2009 for Best Independent Production with the video-dance work Terrestre – movement in still life. In 2012\, the collective created I was wondering\, a video-dance work produced for the centenary of the birth of Michelangelo Antonioni. \nOver the years\, significant collaborations have developed with artists and scholars including Francesco Giomi\, Artistic Director of Tempo Reale; Enrico Pitozzi and Cristiana Natali\, professors at the University of Bologna; Egle Sommacal\, musician and guitarist of Massimo Volume; Angela Baraldi\, actress and singer; and Tabea Martin\, with whom she co-created This Is My Last Dance\, a work that toured extensively across Europe\, including the Swiss Dance Days. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nINFO & TICKETS \nTICKETSFull price: €10Reduced price (under 30\, dance schools\, Liceo Coreutico Matilde di Canossa\, over 65\, CRAL Comune di Reggio Emilia members): €6Reduced price (under 8): €3 \n \nTICKET PURCHASE \n \nTickets can be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it. \n \nThe box office at Fonderia opens one hour before the start of the performance. \n \nTickets are unnumbered. \n \nCONTACTS \n \nMobile & WhatsApp: +39 334 102 3554

The work draws inspiration from Narcissus and Goldmund by Hermann Hesse\, understood as a symbolic rather than narrative field: a relationship founded on affinity\, attraction\, and the impossibility of fusion. The other is neither complement nor solution\, but what is missing\, what wounds\, what triggers movement. Dance unfolds within this unstable threshold\, where the desire for unity generates a tension that is never resolved\, and where separation is not a negation\, but a necessary condition for the very existence of the bond. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLARA GUIDETTI \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLara Guidetti graduated in 2006 as a dancer and choreographer from the Theatre-Dance Atelier of the Scuola Paolo Grassi in Milan\, studying with leading national and international masters. Moving through the physical\, dynamic vocabulary that has long defined the style of Compagnia Artemis Danza\, the work unfolds as a continuous play of echoes\, evocations\, and counterpoints\, delving into Pina’s choreographic poetics and returning to the audience her visionary force and enduring ability to speak to us today. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMONICA CASADEI \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOriginally from Ferrara and graduating summa cum laude with a thesis on Plato and dance\, Monica Casadei\, after a competitive career in rhythmic gymnastics\, devoted herself to the study of classical and modern dance—first in Italy\, then in London\, and finally in Paris. There she met choreographers Pierre Doussaint and Isabelle Doubouloz\, as well as master André Cognard Hanshi So Shihan\, with whom she still practices the martial art of Aikido. She founded Compagnia Artemis Danza in France and moved with the company to Italy in 1997\, launching an intense production activity that to date includes over forty original creations. From 1998 to 2007\, the company was artist-in-residence at the Fondazione Teatro Due\, while since 2014 it has held an artistic residency at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna. Artemis Danza has been invited to perform in major Italian theatres and festivals\, as well as on numerous international tours and festival circuits. \nCentral to Monica Casadei’s artistic research are cross-pollination with different artistic\, cultural\, and geographical contexts\, alongside the exploration of sites and urban spaces that become stages for performative actions. \nAlongside its production activity\, Artemis Danza supports\, produces\, and promotes emerging artists and carries out a wide range of audience development and educational initiatives.
