SUMMARY:Double Side
DESCRIPTION:Ludwigshafen is the German premiere for Double Side. \nBaroque music and contemporary dance are combined in the new programme of the Italian Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto\, which features two choreographers from Canada and Cuba who are little known in Italy\, Danièle Desnoyers and Norge Cedeño Raffo. In close collaboration with the Fondazione Arturo Toscanini from Parma\, its orchestral counterpart from Emilia-Romagna Region\, the renowned company brings along a musical ensemble of singers and string players\, dancing to a baroque suite and a “Stabat Mater” by Arvo Pärt. \n \nSynopsis \nThe Cuban Norge Cedeño Raffo creates to religious music\, of all things. The young\, up-and-coming choreographer was a soloist with Danza Contemporánea de Cuba\, the most important contemporary company in Cuba. Arvo Pärt’s “Stabat Mater” becomes a painful farewell work for him. The Estonian composer set the medieval text about the pain of the Mother of God to music in his characteristic\, reduced style. The moving effect of this music also characterises the expressive\, free and\, in the most beautiful sense\, pure dance: how can one find hope again in a destroyed world and after such a great loss\, how can one go on living\, Norge Cedeño Raffo asks himself in his work. \n\nChoreographer Danièle Desnoyers comes from Montréal\, the metropolis of modern Canadian dance\, where her light\, fluid style and her own company make her a permanent fixture on the contemporary scene. In addition to a theatrical element\, her pieces always have a strong relationship to music. Her creation for Aterballetto is based on a suite by the Italian composer Federico Gon; the specialist for baroque music was inspired by Henry Purcell. \n  \n \n  \nCredits \nSTABAT MATER\n(Creation for 3 dancers\, 3 musicians\, 3 singers) \nChoreography Norge Cedeño Raffo\nSet and lighting design Fabiana Piccioli\nMusic Stabat Mater by Arvo Pärt\nCostume design Norge Cedeño Raffo and Fabiana Piccioli\nAssistant to the choreographer Thais Suàrez Fernàndez \nWITH DROOPING WINGS\n(Creation for 8 dancers\, 4 strings) \nChoreography Danièle Desnoyers\nMusic An English Suite by Federico Gon after Henry Purcell\nSet and lighting design Fabiana Piccioli\nCostume design Danièle Desnoyers\nWith the support of Délégation du Québec à Rome and Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec \n \n\nCo-design and co-production Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto and Fondazione Arturo Toscanini\nCo-production Festspiele Ludwigshafen\, Fondazione I Teatri di Reggio Emilia \nWorld-premiere 23 October 2022\, Reggio Emilia\, Festival Aperto\, Teatro Municipale Romolo Valli (I)\nGerman premiere 9-10 December 2022\, Ludwigshafen\, Theater Im Pfalzbau (D) \n\nDancers Aterballetto Company\nQuartetto Motus for La Toscanini: Giulia Soli\, Agnese Rava violin\, Dario Carrera viola\, Margherita Curti cello\nSoprano: Theodora Io Koutsothodoru\nCountertenor: Nicolò Balducci\nTenor: Kim Bowoo\nMusical coaching: Antonio De Lorenzi \nDocufilm Stabat Mater - Danzare oltre i confini\nNorge Cedeño Raffo’s creation Stabat Mater inspired Rai5 to make the docufilm Stabat Mater – Danzare oltre i confini (Dancing Beyond Borders). \nThe docufilm closely reports the artistic and human experience of the young talented choreographer\, for the first time in Italy\, and shows his creative process\, in the setting of the Teatro Asioli in Correggio\, a small Italian-style theatre immersed in the Po Valley\, one of the most fascinating and evocative. \nThe filming of the docufilm (directed by Alessandro D’Onghia) began on 29 January 2021 (the choreographer’s first day of work with the three dancers) and ended on 6 March 2021 (the day of the closed-door preview at the Teatro Asioli in Correggio\, with musicians and singers from the Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali Achille Peri in Reggio Emilia). The airing of the docufilm on Rai5 was on 29 April 2021\, on the occasion of the International Day of Dance. \nMEDIA PARTNER\n \nWatch the docufilm

MINE is an experiment of collective\, horizontal creation and choreographic writing by ten hands that aims to carry on a research work focused on the sharing of practices\, experimentations and languages. \nEsercizi per un manifesto poetico\, winner of the 2019 edition of DNA Appunti Coreografici marks the beginning of their artistic collaboration. \nIn 2020 they debut with the choreographic project Corpi Elettrici\, in collaboration with the Gender Bender Festival and the Electronic Music School of the G.B. Martini Conservatory in Bologna. The work was initially conceived as a special project by Gender Bender and the G.B. Martini Conservatory in Bologna\, developed during the lockdown to make the 5 dancemakers of the Collective work together with 20 students from the Electronic Music and Applied Music courses. From these meetings\, which took the form of videoconference sessions\, 20 short video works were produced. From these 20 videos the MINE Collective subsequently developed a creation for the stage. \nIn 2021 they are choreographers for the project Swans never die(Danzare la memoria 2020-2022) a project of Lavanderia a Vapore – Centro di Residenza per la Danza (Piemonte dal Vivo – Circuito Multidisciplinare dello Spettacolo\, Coorpi\, Didee Arti e Comunicazioni\, Mosaico Danza\, Zerogrammi); Operaestate Festival Veneto and Centro per la Scena Contemporanea CSC Bassano del Grappa; Triennale Milano Teatro; Fondazione Teatro Grande di Brescia; Festival Bolzano Danza – Fondazione Haydn; Gender Bender Festival; “Memory in Motion. SUMMARY:Shoot me - "O" - Secus
DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto is in Bolzano with a triptych that highlights the eclecticism of its performers. \nThe evening opens with Shoot me\, a new creation by Diego Tortelli on the music of the rock group Spiritualized\, an abstract but tautly energetic choreography. This is followed by  “O”\, Philippe Kratz’s little masterpiece\, an hypnotic pas de deux with an unstoppable rhythm. All 16 dancers of the company close the evening with the visceral Secus\, a creation by Israeli choreographer Ohad Naharin with an enthralling soundtrack. \n\n  \n\n  \n\n  \nSHOOT ME \nSHOOT ME is a new creation for the whole company accompanied by the music of Spiritualized\, an English rock band formed in 1990\, and some recordings of poems recited by singer Jim Morrison that tell us about freedom. \nThe work in its construction is inspired by the concept of “concert-ballet” revisited in a contemporary key where music and dance accompany each other in a composition devoid of narrative\, but which thanks to the power of music\, sometimes aggressive and other times poetic guides us to create open imagery and to feel emotions. \nA fundamental part of SHOOT ME is the strength of a group guided by individual voices\, the desire of a body that wants to be observed and a body that wants to be heard\, that wants to transmit. \nThe work is inspired by images of demonstrations\, pride\, catwalks\, everything that unites us in a group that at the same time allows us not to lose our voice. The exact opposite of a military parade or a political party. We talk about the beauty of the body serving the community as a means of entertainment\, but also of reflection and research.\nIn fact\, the term “SHOOT ME” is used by videomakers at the moment when a camera’s gaze is caught on an action to be immortalized. Instead in pop culture the term “SHOOT ME” in slang is also often referred to as the request to feel emotions after a period of alexithymia “please\, shoot me with some feelings…” \nA frontal work that aims to put the dancers on stage and the audience in the audience in a direct exchange relationship: a game of seduction\, of glances\, of sweat\, an assault on the senses and an ode to the body\, to breathing the same air\, sweat\, tears\, fury\, pride. \nO \nThe idea behind “O” is eternity and how to achieve it is the ultimate goal of humanity. As for example in the summer of 2017 in Hong Kong\, when for the first time two humanoid robots interacted with each other. It has become clear to all that a future\, in which all human knowledge is transmitted by communicating inorganic material\, is at hand. \n“O” can be seen as two human beings or two robots celebrating this event in a state of transcendence and emotional realization\, in which both move together to the infinite rhythm of their unstoppable hearts.\nOr\, like the spaceship computer Hal in Stanley Kubrick’s film “2001: A Space Odyssey” when he says deceptively\, “I know I have made some very poor decisions recently\, but I can give you my complete assurance that my work will return to normal. I still have the utmost enthusiasm and confidence in the mission. And I want to help you.” \nSECUS \nSecus is a creation by Ohad Naharin that boasts a musical collage stretching from the unusual electronic styles of AGF to the seductive Indian melodies of Kaho Naa Pyar Hai to the resonant harmonies of the Beach Boys. This adventurously eclectic mix serves as a fitting backdrop for the boldly extravagant choreography. A human alphabet of runs\, solos\, neat and clean gestures\, interrupted duets is composed before our incredulous eyes\, which\, through precise and sudden kicks\, sinuous disarticulations of the hips\, torsos bending in all directions like molding rubber\, expresses pure emotions and feelings without becoming sentimental. Joy\, vulnerability\, fear\, innocence\, confusion and anger weave a harmonious and dynamic canvas that oscillates between delicacy and exaggeration. \nCREDITS \nSHOOT ME \nChoreography Diego Tortelli\nMusic Spiritualized\nCostumes Marco De Vincenzo\nLights Roman Fliegel \nDuration 30′ – For the 16 dancers of the company \nProduction Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto\nCoproduction Fondazione I Teatri di Reggio Emilia \n“O” \nChoreography Philippe Kratz\nMusic Mark Pritchard and The Field\nCostumes Francesca Messori\nLights Carlo Cerri \nDuration 12′ – For 2 dancers \nProduction Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto \nFirst prize at the 32nd Hannover Choreographic Competition – June 2018 \nPhilippe Kratz is a stARTacademy member of Bayer Arts & Culture. \nSECUS \nChoreography Ohad Naharin\nMusic Chari Chari\, Kid 606 + Rayon (mix: Stefan Ferry)\, AGF\, Chronomad (Wahed)\, Fennesz\, Kaho Naa Pyar Hai\, Seefeel\, The Beach Boys\nSound design & editing Ohad Fishof\nCostumes Rakefet Levy\nLights Avi Yona Bueno (Bambi)\nAssistant choreographers Rachael Osborne\, Ian Robinson\nCreation for Batsheva Dance Company (as part of Three\, 2005) \nDuration 30′ – For the 16 dancers of the company \nProduction Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto \nCo-production Festival Oriente Occidente (I)\, Les Halles de Schaerbeek (B)\, Malraux scène nationale Chambéry Savoie (F) \nPhilippe Kratz’s cloud|materia is supported by Bayer Culture Engagement (D)

SUMMARY:DROP
DESCRIPTION:XL Dance Company – “Prima di domani” – ph. Elena Bianchi \nThe young XL Dance Company\, directed by Emanuela Baratin and Laura Matano\, previews Drop\, the new creation by Laura Matano. \nCredits \nFrom an idea by Laura Matano\nChoreography: Laura Matano\nMusical collaborator: Marco Giacomelli\nConcept and lyrics: Mariagrazia Ferro\nSet design: Cinzia Macis \nConcept \nKnowledge is only possible by differentiation\, at least in order to share it and be understood\, it is mostly necessary to affirm that something is not something else.\nUndeniable\, even a little frustrating\, is the presence of an internal dichotomy within the human being\, let us say biological\, which makes the double a moment of synthesis but also of contrast.\nThe double takes on a symbolic value from scientific and objective observation. The double nature can be interpreted in a dissociative key\, of splitting or\, at the same time\, as a defence and synthesis mechanism. \nThe double is a fetish that embodies how we are made and how far we can think and think about ourselves. \nThe choreography is designed to be performed by three female and three male dancers.\nThe entire production consists of three acts that can also be staged independently. ACT I -female-\, ACT II -male-\, ACT III -mixed. \nAct I and Act II will differ only in the execution of the choreography by the two groups of dancers. There will be no change in the choreographic structure\, which will remain identical; what will change is the mode of execution\, since one act will be performed by female dancers and the other by male dancers. \nAct III constitutes the moment of synthesis in which the above-mentioned differences are resolved and renewed and will have its own choreography. \nXL DANCE COMPANY \nIt was born in Reggio Emilia under the artistic direction of Emanuela Baratin and Laura Matano. \nThe aim of the dance company is to create performances by circulating choreographers and international realities. In XL Dance Company\, the movement\, the body\, the gestures become matter and surface for the individual and collective expression\, instruments of choreographic experimentation through methods and techniques supporting a creativity born from intuitions\, resonances and perceptions. The productions reflect the DNA of XL Dance Company\, which makes contamination between styles its distinctive feature. Open to innovation\, the dancers perform in important national and international festivals and theatres. \nstudioxlcontemporary.it \nINFO & TICKETS \nTICKETS\nFull: 3 euro\nUnder 6: free \nPURCHASING TICKETS \nTickets can be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it. \nThe ticket office service at the Fonderia is open from 17.30. \nTickets are not numbered. \nCONTACTS \nTel 0522273016 \nMobile and whatsapp 3341023554

DESCRIPTION:Agora Coaching Project – Made in Italy 27.0 – ph Nicola Stasi \nOPEN REHEARSAL\nProtagonists are Agora Coaching Project‘s dancers\, a project of advanced training in dance promoted and supported by MM Contemporary Dance Company and A.S.D Progetto Danza of Reggio Emilia under the artistic direction of Michele Merola and Enrico Morelli. Created in 2010\, the course is now gaining full recognition in the European dance world and boasts collaborations with internationally renowned teachers and choreographers. \nOn stage Made in Italy 27.0 with choreography by Uri Ivgi and Johan Greben\, Emanuele Soavi \nNice to meet you \nChoreography Uri Ivgi and Johan Greben\nAssistant to choreography Fabrizio Di Franco\nMusic Tom Parkinson\nDramaturgy Judith Schoneveld \nAn empty space that slowly fills with different personalities\, who meet and investigate together the complex simplicity of human relationships.\nNice to meet you is an open space that aims to break the fourth wall and create an intimate dialogue between dancers and spectators\, almost as if sharing a secret. \nThe movement is earthy but also light and ironic\, emphasizing the myriad nuances of human nature and the enormous fragility involved in looking into someone’s eyes and saying “nice to meet you.” \nAllegro Beyond Sonatas \nChoreography Emanuele Soavi\nAssistant choreographers Federico Casadei\, Lorenzo Molinaro\nMusic J. S. Bach\, Stefan Bohne\nCostumes Nuvia Valestri \nThis work was born out of the study of deepening the concept of technical exactitude and at the same time freedom of movement research.\nA physical response to the counterpoints\, rhythms\, pointed complexes and speed of J. S. Bach’s music. \nOn stage\, the performers create configurations that are constantly evolving. Short solos\, duets and ensemble groupings appear and disappear; they melt in and out of darkness and openings at the back of the stage. Movement is an extended exploration of the shapes and geometries that human bodies can create in a formal context. \nThere is no possibility of hiding in Allegro Beyond Sonatas. Every part of the body must be extensively explored as each movement articulates through the entire frame – vocabulary of the body; including the fingertips\, including the expression of one’s identity. \nAgora Coaching Project \nAGORA COACHING PROJECT is an annual dance training project for dancers aged 18 to 22\, based in Reggio Emilia. SUMMARY:Don Juan
DESCRIPTION:At Teatro delle Muse in Ancona Aterballetto dances Don Juan\, the full evening production by Johan Inger. \nThe choreography comes from Inger’s desire to confront Don Juan\, a paradigmatic myth that is both ancient and still contemporary. The original comedy by Tirso de Molina\, Molière\, Bertold Brecht and the play by Suzanne Lilar are just some of the sources of inspiration: Inger and playwright Gregor Acuña-Pohl consulted twenty-five different texts inspired by the character. \nIn the creation we find all the characters of the story\, from Donna Elvira to Donna Anna to Zerlina and Masetto. Don Juan can be considered a Kammerspiel\, with its ability to emphasise nuances and emotions: and in the case of this creation\, dance becomes a magnifying glass for the individual characters\, subtly but clearly revealing the inner world of the men and women on stage. \nDanza&Danza Award ‘Best Production’ 2020 \n

Short solos\, duets and ensemble groupings appear and disappear; they melt in and out of darkness and openings at the back of the stage. SUMMARY:SECUS - "O" - SHOOT ME
DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto continues its tour and arrives in Terrassa\, Catalonia. \nThe evening opens with  Secus\,  a creation by Israeli choreographer Ohad Naharin with an enthralling soundtrack. This is followed by “O”\, Philippe Kratz’s little masterpiece\, an hypnotic pas de deux with an unstoppable rhythm. All 16 dancers in the company close the evening with Shoot me\, a new creation by Diego Tortelli to the music of the rock band Spiritualized\, an abstract but tense and energetic choreography. \n\n  \n\n  \n\n  \nSECUS \nSecus is a creation by Ohad Naharin that boasts a musical collage extending from the unusual electronic styles of AGF to the seductive Indian melodies of Kaho Naa Pyar Hai to the resonant harmonies of the Beach Boys. This adventurously eclectic mix serves as a fitting background for the boldly extravagant choreography. Joy\, vulnerability\, fear\, innocence\, confusion and anger weave an harmonious and dynamic canvas that oscillates between delicacy and exaggeration. \nO \nThe idea behind “O” is eternity and how to achieve it is the ultimate goal of humanity. As for example in the summer of 2017 in Hong Kong\, when for the first time two humanoid robots interacted with each other. It has become clear to all that a future\, in which all human knowledge is transmitted by communicating inorganic material\, is at our fingertips. \n“O” can be seen as two human beings or two robots celebrating this event in a state of transcendence and emotional realization\, in which both move together to the infinite rhythm of their unstoppable hearts.\nOr\, like the spaceship’s computer Hal in Stanley Kubrick’s film “2001: A Space Odyssey” when he says deceptively\, “I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently\, but I can give you my complete assurance that my work will return to normal. I still have the utmost enthusiasm and confidence in the mission. And I want to help you.” \nSHOOT ME \nSHOOT ME is a new creation for the whole company accompanied by the music of Spiritualized\, an English rock band formed in 1990\, and by some recordings of poems recited by singer Jim Morrison that tell us about freedom. \nThe work in its construction is inspired by the concept of “concert-ballet”\, revisited in a contemporary key where music and dance combine each other in a composition devoid of narrative\, but which\, thanks to the power of music\, sometimes aggressive and other times poetic guides us to create open imageries and to feel emotions. We talk about the beauty of the body serving the community as an  entertainment medium\, but also of reflection and research.\nIn fact\, the term “SHOOT ME” is used by videomakers  when a camera’s gaze is caught on an action to be immortalized. In pop culture instead\, the term “SHOOT ME” in slang is also often referred to as a request to feel emotions after a period of alexithymia “please\, shoot me with some feelings…” \nA frontal work that aims to put the dancers on stage and the audience in the stall in a direct exchange relationship: a game of seduction\, glances\,  sweat\, an assault on the senses and an ode to the body\, to breathing the same air\, sweat\, tears\, fury\, pride. \nCREDITS \nSECUS \nChoreography Ohad Naharin\nMusic Chari Chari\, Kid 606 + Rayon (mix: Stefan Ferry)\, AGF\, Chronomad (Wahed)\, Fennesz\, Kaho Naa Pyar Hai\, Seefeel\, The Beach Boys\nSound design & editing Ohad Fishof\nCostume Design Rakefet Levy\nLighting Design Avi Yona Bueno (Bambi)\nAssistant choreographers Rachael Osborne\, Ian Robinson\nCreation for Batsheva Dance Company (as part of Three\, 2005) \nDuration 30′ – For 16 dancers from the company \nProduction Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto \nCo-production Festival Oriente Occidente (I)\, Les Halles de Schaerbeek (B)\, Malraux scène nationale Chambéry Savoie (F) \n“O” \nChoreography Philippe Kratz\nMusic Mark Pritchard and The Field\nCostume Design Francesca Messori\nLighting Design Carlo Cerri \nDuration 12′ – For 2 dancers \nProduction Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto \nFirst prize at the 32nd Hannover Choreographic Competition – June 2018 \nPhilippe Kratz is a stARTacademy member of Bayer Arts & Culture. \nSHOOT ME \nChoreography Diego Tortelli\nMusic Spiritualized\nCostume Design Marco De Vincenzo\nLighting Design Roman Fliegel \nDuration 30′ – For 16 dancers from the company \nProduction Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto\nCoproduction Fondazione I Teatri di Reggio Emilia

SUMMARY:DANCING BRUNO
DESCRIPTION:Compagnia Sanpapié – Dancing Bruno – ph. Donato Aquaro \nWe open the new season at Fonderia\, making just about everyone dance in an evening of about two and a half hours\, where 12 artists including musicians\, dancers\, singers and actors\, compete for the audience\, challenging each other not to leave a single spectator sitting. \n Dancing Bruno by the Milan-based company               Sanpapié is a ride through popular dance between the early 1900s and the early 1970s\, clinging to the saddle of the history of social and political changes that have transformed the way we experience spaces\, relationships\, roles and steps in common. \nIn Dancing Bruno\, irony opens the door wide to encounter and experimentation. It is a participatory experience where audience and performer merge in the same game\, creating a surreal space in which time is suspended. \n\nCREDITS \nConcept Lara Guidetti\, Saverio Bari\nWith contributions from Marco De Meo\, Marcello Gori\, Susanna Gozzetti\, Cecilia Vecchio\nChoreography and direction Lara Guidetti\nTexts Saverio Bari\nOriginal music and soundtrack Marcello Gori\nLive music Andrea Vulpani\nCostume Design Daniela De Blasio\nWith Saverio Bari\, Caterina Cescotti\, Luis Fernando Colombo\, Gioele Cosentino\, Marco De Meo\, Marcello Gori\, Susanna Gozzetti\, Lara Guidetti\, Francesca La Stella\, Matteo Sacco\, Cecilia Vecchio \nCoproduction Sanpapié and Fondazione Luzzati – Teatro della Tosse \nWHAT'S DANCING BRUNO? \nWhat comes naturally to the question is what is a dancing and especially who is Bruno. \nTo the first question the answer comes seemingly easy: a dancing is a dance hall before it is called a discotheque and after it has lost its definition of balera. Dancing is the middle ground where couple dancing opens up to rhythmic contaminations\, cultures\, forms and figures from other parts of the world. In common with the balera are the rules and\, above all\, the powerful voice of popular extraction\, while the strain toward disco reveals a world that is broadening and opening itself to encounter and experimentation\, looking at the foreigner with a fascinated and curious manner\, imitating his movements\, and ready to exchange its own. \nCompagnia Sanpapié – Dancing Bruno – ph. Donato Aquaro \nAnd Bruno? Who’s Bruno? \nBruno is the secret word\,\n        it is the memory that one carries within                                    oneself  forever\,\n        able to renew itself\n        with each generation. \nHe\, too\, is a clandestine idea: that of a theater where there is no barrier between audience and stage\, the secret and intimate receptacle of a popular universe in which we sink our roots\, the guardian of a world that is never completely lost but is transformed it is the pole that warns us when we are in danger\, to give us time to move elsewhere\, to be reborn changed\, contaminated… it is someone we have all met\, on any corner\, between any two streets\, who reminds us who we are\, who we have been\, who we could be… it is a question without the rush of the answer and the excitement of discovery… \nCompagnia Sanpapié – Dancing Bruno – ph. Donato Aquaro \nSanpapié Company \n\nSanpapié was founded in 2008 by the will of four young people then fresh out of academy: Lara Guidetti\, dancer and choreographer; Sarah Chiarcos\, playwright; Marcello Gori\, musician; and Fabio Ferretti\, organizer\, interested in investigating the depths of research without forgetting the Excel sheets. \nLike all companies\, in 13 years it has gone through very different phases and seasons\, lost pieces and then found them again\, missed trains and won calls\, but it has never betrayed its original spirit: seeking the most special and impervious way to reach the heart of the beholder. \nSanpapié has been and continues to be the home of a group of artists and organizers in perpetual motion\, constantly searching for new stimuli and new challenges; an extended family from Emilia-Milan-Romagna-Genoa (with flashes of Campania\, Puglia\, Sicily and Tuscany) that has not been afraid to grow and transform itself into a virtuous cultural enterprise. From 2015 to 2017\, Sanpapié received a grant from MiBACT as a Dance Production enterprise; from 2017 to 2019\, it won the Funder35 call from Fondazione Cariplo; and in its history it has performed not only in Italy but also in France\, the United Kingdom\, Spain\, Germany\, Portugal\, and China. \nsanpapie.com \n\nINFO & TICKETS \nTICKETS\nFull price: 10 euro\nReduced under 30\, dance schools\, Liceo Coreutico Matilde di Canossa\, over 65\, members CRAL Municipality of Reggio Emilia: 6 euro\nReduced under 8: 3 euro \nPURCHASING TICKETS \nTickets can be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it. \nTicket service in Fonderia is active from 7:30 pm. \nTickets are not numbered. \nCONTACTS \nCell and whatsapp 3341023554 \nEmail biglietteria@aterballetto.it \n\nCompagnia Sanpapié – Dancing Bruno – ph. SUMMARY:Don Juan
DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto comes back to Teatro Regio in Parma and dances Don Juan\, the full evening production by Johan Inger.

SUMMARY:Don Juan
DESCRIPTION:From 31st January to 2nd February at Centro Teatrale Bresciano Aterballetto performs Don Juan\, the full evening production by Johan Inger. \nDanza&Danza Award ‘Best Production’ 2020

SUMMARY:MEMENTO - OPEN REHEARSAL
DESCRIPTION:  \n \nMemento – Cornelia Dance Company – ph. Sabrina Cirillo \nOPEN REHEARSAL\nMemento is a dance piece that is based on the non-event. Just as in the Beckettian masterpiece\, Waiting for Godot\, the tension is created by the succession of hopes that find no concrete outlet\, so likewise\, in life\, every moment is waiting for something definitive that then\, when we think we have obtained it\, we always discover to be fragmented and subjective. \nWithin the choreography\, the performers experience this waiting and\, in their search for a definitive answer\, divine or otherwise\, to their existential condition\, they seek solace from each other\, challenge each other\, or\, like a chorus\, all tend toward the same point.\nIn the end\, the very goal of their journey will be realized in the remembrance (memento means\, precisely\, “remembered”) of these relationships and the sensations they have felt\, making it a ritual moment\, a sacred\, and therefore eternal\, act. \n\nCREDITS \nChoreography Nyko Piscopo\nMusic Arvo Pärt\nCostume Design Rosario Martone\nDramaturgy Ciro Ciancio\nSet Design Paola Castrignanò\nLights Camilla Piccioni \nDancers Nicolas Grimaldi Capitello\, Eleonora Greco\, Leopoldo Guadagno\, Francesco Russo \nTechnical Manager Giuseppe Ferrigno\nManagement Vittorio Stasi\nVideo Andrea De Simone\nPhotos Sabrina Cirillo \nProduction Cornelia\nSupport Caleidoscopio\, Teatro Eduardo de Filippo \nIn collaboration with: AMAT MARCHE\, Compagnia Zappalà Danza – SCENARIO PUBBLICO. \nCONCEPT \nInnovative\, out-of-the-box and label-free\, “Memento” is a celebration of the self in all its forms and rests its foundation on gender equality. Performers are asked to renounce the inherent characteristics associated with their gender or stereotypes about it. The gaze becomes fixed\, facial expressions limited\, however\, they are also given the opportunity to express\, in a fluid manner and according to stage sensibility\, the emotionality perceived at that particular moment. Nothing has to start from an idea\, but from an internal impulse: in this way the body does not drag behind a stereotyped gesturality\, and the choreographic dynamics are built free of all patterns\, so that the man can be lifted up by the woman\, if the inner need of the couple on stage requires it\, reversing (or following) the canons without preconceived barriers. \n\nThe succession of tension and apparent calm involves every aspect of the staging. The lights rest on the performers like spots that suddenly appear and\, just as suddenly\, vanish\, conveying the anxiety and agony felt by the play’s protagonists. The atmosphere of unease tends to be amplified by an eternal return to choreographic stillness\, stillness that is\, however\, constantly challenged\, not only by the progression of light and darkness\, but also by the scenographic dynamics that\, by evoking those places that seem suspended between the earthly and the otherworldly like the monolithic complex of Stonehenge\, increases the sense of uncertainty and inner disequilibrium. The musical score also contributes to this effect of constant suspension and restart. While\, through moments of lightness and irony\, the anguish seems to be successfully concealed\, Arvo Pärt’s music reinforces the emotionality\, denying both dancers and spectators to remain indifferent to the feelings that transpire from the work. \nCORNELIA\nCornelia is a dance company founded in 2019 in Naples by Nyko Piscopo\, Nicolas Grimaldi Capitello\, Eleonora Greco\, Leopoldo Guadagno and Francesco Russo. \nKey word of Cornelia‘s artistic manifesto is INNOVATION\, which manifests itself both by carrying out projects where different languages coexist and through the reinterpretation in a modern key of some classics of dance and literature. Consequently\, the themes addressed by the company are those of contemporaneity. They include\, in fact\, the “instances” of the new generations\, such as the battles for self-determination of one’s body and for the affirmation of one’s sexuality\, but also investigating the new possibilities of connection given by the social revolution. \nIn addition to the founders\, Cornelia relies on numerous external collaborators who share the same philosophy as the group. The ‘company’s activity is widespread both in Italy and abroad: artistic productions are presented in various Italian theaters (Teatro delle Muse in Ancona\, Teatro Bellini in Naples\, Teatro Comunale in Vicenza\, Teatro Carignano in Turin) and participate in the most important dance and video dance festivals\, both national (Venice Biennale 2020\, Campania Teatro Festival 2021 and many others) and international (Filmpride in Brighton\, Choreoscope in Barcelona)\, as well as projects streamed in New York\, London\, Belgrade\, Sweden\, Iran. \nActive not only in dance at the production level\, the company is also involved in collaborating in the organization of national events such as MOVI|MENTALE and Cilentart Fest and in training with free initiatives for local dancers such as Wake Up! SUMMARY:ALI
DESCRIPTION:Ali – La Ribalta – ph. Andreas Marini \nAli\, from texts by Antonio Viganò\, Remo Rostagno and Gian Luigi Gherzi\, is a creation that stages the encounter between a young man and an angel to tell of confronting identities\, mutually unveiled dimensions\, impossible challenge between the human and the celestial. The two young performers of the La Ribalta – Kunst der Vielfalt company\, Jason De Majo and Michael Untertrifaller\, bring to the stage a spectrum of brutal and at the same time tender sensations\, capable of creating an infinite range of expressive coloring. \nTwo perfomances: \nSaturday\, February 11\, 5:30 p.m.\nSunday\, February 12\, 5:30 p.m. \n\n  \nCREDITS\nText by Gianluigi Gherzi\, Remo Rostagno\, Antonio Viganò\nDirected by Antonio Viganò\nChoreography by Julie Anne Stanzak (Tanztheater Wuppertal)\nProduction direction Paola Guerra\nWith Michael Untertrifaller and Jason De Majo \nInspired by the 1993 show ALI\, a co-production Le Grand Bleu and Teatro La Ribalta \n(PremioETIstregagatto 1995). \nA production Teatro La Ribalta-Kunst der Vielfalt – Lebenshilfe Südtirol \nA tribute to Joseph Scicluna\nCONCEPT\nAli is the story of an encounter between an ordinary young man\, somewhat disillusioned and pessimistic\, and an individual with two red wounds on his shoulders\, a fallen angel who is willing to suffer and love as all human beings do. The creature\, descended from heaven through a light pole\, asks\, questions\, wants to understand the why of everything. It is as curious and naive as a child. \nA web of mutual questioning\, curiosity\, and conflict is established between the two\, causing the angel to discover feelings and sensations he has never experienced before. \nThe angel and the man meet\, clash\, struggle\, recognize each other\, grapple and brush against each other in a dance of life until death. Uncovering memories buried under piles of stones\, the angel lays bare man’s life\, his sorrows and joys. \nWhy do you touch where it hurts? Man asks. \n \nThe struggle between the two becomes as hard as a game. A cruel and poetic game in which man discovers his uniqueness\, his being a unique and unrepeatable “story\,” while the angel will have to choose between being everything and nothing or a precise\, earthly identity by giving up his divine dimension. \nI have no stories \nIt is not possible. Everyone has one! Everybody! \nNo\, I don’t have stories…no\, no. I have one. Just one. This one. (Opens a suitcase of feathers). \nAnd this is your story? \nIt is my story: sky\, air\, flying…. \nI would like to be like you: one suitcase\, light. I would like to be like you. \nWe have illustrious masters to guide us: Rilke with his “Elegie Duinesi”\, Peter Handke and Wim Wenders with “Heaven Above Berlin”\, Wallace Stevens’ “The Necessary Angel”\, James Stephens’ “Semidei”\, and Walter Benjamin’s “Angelus Novus”. \n \nTEATRO LA RIBALTA\nTeatro La Ribalta – Kunst der Vielfalt is a community of dancers and actors-versus-actors who want to develop their own legitimate strangeness. Live performance workers who are extraordinary solely and uniquely in their way of being on stage and for the professionalism they have chosen to practice. \nDaily\, doggedly\, they work to seek and unveil ” beauty ” and try to give it back\, to those who meet them\, through poetry and the art of theater. Men and women who like the idea that the boundary between reality and fiction is penetrable\, that fantasies and desires can become material\, that work subjects and practices become opportunities to live and dream\, that a person in difficulty can become the protagonist of his or her own life\, when he or she crosses boundaries\, changes the everyday\, navigates unexplored waters\, reconstructs identities. They bring to the theater a mystery\, a personal poetics\, the shadows and wounds that nourish art and life. They are aware that only through quality artistic practice and a deep work ethic can they defeat prejudices\, change paradigms\, make people think and move. That is why their theater is a political act. \nThe company\, founded in Bolzano in 2011\, has a repertoire of shows (The Sound of Falling\, Characters\, Nobody Knows About Us\, The Dance\, H+G\, Wings\, Superable\, Othello Circus\, A Peep Show for Cinderella\, Paradise Lost) that are touring Italy and Europe and contributing a new look and artistic depth to social art theater. \nWinner of the 2015 and 2018 Eolo Award for the shows “H+G” and “Superabile” as the best new productions of the year in the childhood and youth theater sector; the 2015 Critic’s Award promoted by the National Association of Theater Critics as well as the 2018 UBU Special Award “for the quality of artistic\, creative and political research in often marginal areas and with capillary attention to diversity ” and Hystrio Award – Other Muses 2021 “for making theater practice an instrument of social inclusion at 360 degrees.”\nINFO & TICKETS \nTICKETS\nFull price: 10 euro\nReduced under 30\, dance schools\, Liceo Coreutico Matilde di Canossa\, over 65\, members CRAL Municipality of Reggio Emilia: 6 euro\nReduced under 8: 3 euro \nPURCHASING TICKETS \nTickets can be purchased online at  www.biglietteriafonderia39.it. \nTicket service in Fonderia is active from 4:30 pm. \nTickets are not numbered. \nCONTACTS \nCell and whatsapp 3341023554 \nEmail biglietteria@aterballetto.it

SUMMARY:Double Side
DESCRIPTION:Double Side is at Teatro Morlacchi in Perugia\, on 11th and 12th February.
