SUMMARY:Don Juan
DESCRIPTION:The French tour goes on in Reims. For two nights\, on 12th and 13th November\, at the Opéra de Reims\, Aterballetto dances Don Juan\, the full evening production by Johan Inger. \nThe choreography comes from Inger’s desire to confront Don Juan\, a paradigmatic myth that is both ancient and still contemporary. The original comedy by Tirso de Molina\, Molière\, Bertold Brecht and the play by Suzanne Lilar are just some of the sources of inspiration: Inger and playwright Gregor Acuña-Pohl consulted twenty-five different texts inspired by the character. \nIn the creation we find all the characters of the story\, from Donna Elvira to Donna Anna to Zerlina and Masetto. Don Juan can be considered a Kammerspiel\, with its ability to emphasise nuances and emotions: and in the case of this creation\, dance becomes a magnifying glass for the individual characters\, subtly but clearly revealing the inner world of the men and women on stage. \nDanza&Danza Award ‘Best Production’ 2020 \n

SUMMARY:Winter Forest - open rehearsal
DESCRIPTION:OPEN REHEARSAL\n\nOpen rehearsals are unique moments in which it is possible to experience the backstage of a performance\, dialogue with the artists and be surprised by the art of dance. \nWinter Forest creates an unclassifiable landscape with a winter\, glacial character\, like a Nordic forest\, obtained with special light effects reflected on a silk backdrop. \n\n  \n  \nCREDITS\nChoreography Fabrizio Favale\nDancers Daniele Bianco\, Valentina Staltari\, Po-Nien Wang\nSet\, costume and art work First Rose\nSounds recorded in zoos of different countries around the world Fabrizio Favale\nMusic Massimo Carozzi\, Daniela Cattivelli\, Christian Fennesz\, Jónsi\, Alex Somers \nCo-produced by Festival Danza in Rete – Fondazione Teatro Comunale di Vicenza\, KLm – Kinkaleri / Le Supplici / mk\nSupported by MIBAC / Regione Emilia-Romagna\nIn collaboration with h(abita)t – Rete di Spazi per la Danza / Sementerie Artistiche\, Crevalcore \nSYNOPSIS \nWinter Forest creates an unclassifiable landscape with a winter\, glacial character\, like a Nordic forest\, obtained with special light effects reflected on a silk backdrop. Here three dancers move in a dance made of the intertwining of a very high technical complexity and unknown movements\, like creatures from other worlds. Space and costumes of the dancers have similar aesthetic traits\, resulting in a camouflage effect. The choreography is built with a cyclical idea whose elements\, while varying\, return with an apparent randomness\, as happens to thunderstorms and storms. \n \nAfter having attended for a long time outdoor landscapes in their changes within the alternation of the seasons (The Invisible Seasons – Infinite Choreographic Cycle 2018-2021\, awarded with the Siae and Mibac Prize For Who Creates and selected by the Big Pulse Alliance as one of the eight best European outdoor projects 2021 in the programme Open Air Commission)\, with this project Fabrizio Favale now investigates the concept of mimicry. Sometimes useful in nature\, sometimes useless\, mimicry is seen here first of all as an aesthetic event. A way of disappearing\, dissolving into the surrounding\, to reappear with the appearance of the surrounding. \nFabrizio Favale \nHis dance is oriented towards abstraction\, typical of the American techniques with which he was trained. The choreographic landscapes that he draws in his works seem to refer from time to time to distant and unknown worlds\, in which dance presents itself as a horizon free from interpretation and classification. \nFabrizio studied classical ballet with Denis Carey\, Victor Litvinov\, Sue Carlton Jones. Contemporary techniques with Andé Peck\, Roberta Garrison\, Jeff Slayton\, Betty Jones\, Nina Watt\, Irene Hultmann\, Louise Burns\, Alwin Nicholais. \nFrom a very young age he was awarded numerous scholarships including Full Scholarship at the American Dance Festival\, Duke University\, USA in 1990.\nAt 19 he was awarded with the Prize “Nati per la danza” at the Theatre Romolo Valli in Reggio Emilia and at 26 he was nominated “best Italian dancer of the year 1996” by the G. Tani Prize.\nFrom 1991 to 2001 he danced for the Virgilio Sieni Danza Company. \nSince 1999 he has created over 30 choreographies\, receiving awards in Spain\, Germany\, Italy and Serbia\, performing in numerous festivals and theaters such as Théâtre National de la Danse Chaillot Paris\, Biennale de la Danse de Lyon\, La Biennale di Venezia\, Suzanne Dellal Tel Aviv\, SIDance Seoul\, Varna International Festival and many more.\nHis works have been co-produced by Théâtre National de la Danse Chaillot Paris\, MUSEION – National Museum of Arts in Bolzano\, Tanz Bozen Festival\, Festival MILANoLTRE Milan\, Fondazione Teatro Comunale di Vicenza.\nIn 2011\, on the occasion of the presentation of the work “Un ricamo fatto sul nulla” at the Grand Theater of the National Academy of Dance in Rome\, he received the “Medal of the President of the Republic for Italian choreographic talent”. \nHe invents a series of experimental programming formats\, which will be invited by Italian Festivals and Theaters. The main ones are: “Piattaforma della Danza Balinese” (2014-2015) for the Santarcangelo Festival and “Circo Massimo” (2016-2017) for the Duse Theater in Bologna. \nHe collaborates with musicians and composers such as Mountains (USA)\, Teho Teardo (IT)\, Daniela Cattivelli (IT) and visual artists such as ZimmerFrei (IT)\, Lele Marcoianni (IT). \nHis outdoor project Le Stagioni Invisibili – Ciclo Coreografico Infinito 2018-2021\, received the “PerChiCrea 2019” Production Award from Siae and Mibac – Italian Ministry of Culture and was shortlisted by the Big Pulse Dance Alliance as one of the best 8 European projects 2021 in its programme Open Air Commissions. \nWith the duo First Rose (Fabrizio Favale and Andrea Del Bianco)\, he also designs scenes\, costumes and artifacts\, which sometimes graft the choreographic works with an enigmatic figuration of strange beings\, as hybrids of a kind of organic and inorganic world. \nFor the three-year period 22-24 Fabrizio Favale is nominated Italian Associate Artist of MILANoLTRE\, Teatro Elfo-Puccini Milan. \nlesupplici.it \nINFO & TICKETS \nTICKETS\nFull: 3 euro\nUnder 6: free \nPURCHASING TICKETS \nTickets can be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it. \nThe ticket office service at the Fonderia is open from 5.30 pm. \nTickets are not numbered. \nCONTACTS \nTel +39 0522 273016 \nMobile and whatsapp +39 3341023554

SUMMARY:Don Juan
DESCRIPTION:In occasion of the last stop of the French tour in Fréjus\, in Provence\, Aterballetto dances Don Juan\, the full evening production by Johan Inger.

Recall in heart.\nIn ancient times\, the heart was thought to be the home of memory\, which today we know to be the brain.\nIn these terms\, therefore\, remembering does not only mean ‘having memory’ but having past experiences live inside you\, making them impact your essence and your life. \nTales and anecdotes\, but also desires\, goals and dreams. And also assumptions\, fears and apprehensions about what we will be\, about what is to come. \nThe end result of a workshop on childhood seen by those who lived it not too long ago and at the same time\, in imagining themselves old\, by those who today can only assume memories still unknown. \nChoreography Roberto Tedesco\nPerformers Dancers from the formazione StudioXL \nMusic Hiro Kone\, Colleen\nLight design Gessica Germini \nOh Peter\, hello. Goodbye. \nHere was the greeting you had to become.\nI awaited it with understanding because in all our things there were sentences and redemptions. In it is included the desire to which I had to return and which I had to keep. A resolute control of aspirations is necessary in order not to become a victim of them.\nYou are without siege\, and I am no longer a smile but winter. Cover yourself too.\nYou said that every body seeks\, calls\, must fulfil itself. It is true\, here is the ritual to go.\nI feel that you want to drag me into your space but I have chosen to return to myself\, in symbiosis with my wide gestures and without constraints. Until they are fulfilled we will guard our sleeps but stand in profile to give access to the nightmares.\nThen I will open my hands as in a space of my own\, without having yours around to take one last close look. \nChoreography Laura Matano\nPerformers Compagnia XL\nMusic Various Authors\nLight design Gessica Germini \n \nTime \nThe perception of time is highly subjective\, each of us has its own past. We are our past. This is shown by our faces with the signs of advancing age\, it is shown by our eyes in which a mixture of disappointment and satisfaction shines through.\nWithout memory of the past\, without projection into the future\, we cannot make sense of the world and the people in it.\nSo it is up to us to choose and ask ourselves questions\, is time our ally? Can it heal our wounds? Or do we use time only to forget and eventually forgive? \nChoreography Taulant Shehu\nPerformers Dancers from formazione StudioXL \nAuthors Ezio Bosso\nLight design Gessica Germini \nStudioXL International Contemporary Dance Education \nArtistic Direction Emanuela Baratin\, Laura Matano \nStudioXL is aimed at dancers aged 18 and over who wish to deepen their study of the contemporary performing arts.\nIt is an eight-month long advanced training course during which they will alternate study\, research and performance throughout Europe.\nInternationally renowned professional choreographers also participate in the project in order to give the dancers the best training possible.\nThe aim of the study course is to refine the technical\, scenic and expressive skills of each dancer and to guide them to the discovery and enhancement of their professional identity. \nstudioxlcontemporary.it \nINFO & TICKETS \nTICKETS\nFull 10 euro\nReduced under 30\, dance schools\, Liceo Coreutico Matilde di Canossa\, over 65\, CRAL members Municipality of Reggio Emilia: 6 euro\nReduced under 8: 3 euro \nPURCHASING TICKETS \nTickets can be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it. \nThe ticket office service in Fonderia is open from 5 pm. \nTickets are not numbered. \nCONTACTS \nTel 0522273016 \nCell and whatsapp 3341023554

SUMMARY:È pericoloso non sporgersi
DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday\, Dec. 7\, 6 p.m. at Chiostri San Pietro in Reggio Emilia we present  È pericoloso non sporgersi\, a surprising new production only available with virtual reality visors. \nChoreography and direction are by Francesca Lattuada\, a visionary artist active in France\, who starts from the historical memory of some rooms of the Museo di storia della psichiatria\, and leans on the ability of the extraordinary contortionist Lise Pauton to force\, almost distort\, the perception of reality. Her metamorphoses will be incessant\, leading to the blurring of ordinary temporality\, the loss of the most concrete notions of spatiality (high-low\, big-small\, visible-invisible…). \nThe viewer will thus experience an immersion in a world in which all habitual references have vanished. A bit like what could happen to the guests of the Lombroso Pavilion. \nFND-Aterballetto – è pericoloso non sporgersi – ph. Maria Letizia Piantoni (12) \n  \nThe work is created on the occasion of the billboard Identità inquieta\, a great choral work of the city of Reggio Emilia involving institutions and organizations of social\, educational and cultural life\, with the intention of offering a rich and varied calendar of cultural events to show visions on the infinite nuances of identity. \nÈ pericoloso non sporgersi is within the Virtual Dance for Real People project. \nCredits \nDirection and choreography: <strong>Francesca Lattuada</strong>\nMusic: <strong>traditional corean music</strong>; <strong><em>“Lascia la spina\, cogli la rosa”</em> </strong>di <strong>Georg Friedrich Händel</strong>\, performed by <strong>Francesca Lattuada</strong>\nCostumes: <strong>Francesca Lattuada</strong>\nPerformer: <strong>Lise Pauton</strong> \nProduction: <strong>Fondazione Nazionale della Danza /Aterballetto</strong>\nCoproduction: <strong>Fondazione Palazzo Magnani</strong>\nTechnological development and user experience design by Giulia Losi\, Annalisa Mombelli (RE:LAB)\nVideo production & editing by Guido Acampa (Riot Studio) \nPremiere: <strong>7 december 2022\, Chiostri di San Pietro\, Reggio Emilia</strong> \nPartnership <strong>Comune di Reggio Emilia / Musei Civici</strong> \n<img class=”alignnone wp-image-17406″ src=”https://www.fndaterballetto.it/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/logo_Comune_MuseiRE.jpg” alt=”” width=”130″ height=”130″ /> \n<em>Initiative realized at Chiostri di San Pietro as part of the <strong>Rete dei Laboratori Aperti of Emilia-Romagna\, co-financed by European Funds – Por Fesr 2014-2020</strong></em> \n<img class=”alignnone wp-image-17408″ src=”https://www.fndaterballetto.it/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/laboratorio-aperto.jpg” alt=”” width=”440″ height=”99″ /> \nPerfomance inside the program ‘Identità Inquieta’ \n<img class=”alignnone wp-image-17410 size-full” src=”https://www.fndaterballetto.it/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/identità-inquieta.png” alt=”” width=”147″ height=”147″ /> \nImagery \nBorn X.                                                                                          She lives near Reggio Emilia\, presumably in a cave.          She feeds on berries and plants. \nAt 29\, accused of stealing chickens\, she spent 33 days in the Lombroso Pavilion. \nThe testimonies of nurses\, patients and doctors describe a discreet\, sweet and silent woman. \nAdalgisa claims to be inhabited by four entities: \n— The Winged man\, age 35.                                                        — The Infant\, age 7.\n— The Age-less Phantom                                                                — An invisible entity that sometimes calls the Beast and sometimes the Light\, who heals her and whom she heals. \nThe transformations raise amazement and fright; Adalgisa’s body\, habitually rigid\, becomes disconcertingly flexible. \nWhen and where to see the work \n<h3><span style=”color: #d40000;”><strong>Prima presentazione</strong></span></h3>\nDecember 7\, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. \nChiostri di San Pietro\, via Emilia a San Pietro 44/c\, Reggio Emilia \nFree entry \n<hr /> \nAfter Dec. 7\, the installation can be enjoyed within the guided tour of Chiostri di San Pietro in the manner and on the days and times indicated on the website: <a href=”https://www.chiostrisanpietro.it/visita/servizi/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>https://www.chiostrisanpietro.it/visita/servizi/</a>

SUMMARY:Double Side
DESCRIPTION:Ludwigshafen is the German premiere for Double Side. \nBaroque music and contemporary dance are combined in the new programme of the Italian Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto\, which features two choreographers from Canada and Cuba who are little known in Italy\, Danièle Desnoyers and Norge Cedeño Raffo. In close collaboration with the Fondazione Arturo Toscanini from Parma\, its orchestral counterpart from Emilia-Romagna Region\, the renowned company brings along a musical ensemble of singers and string players\, dancing to a baroque suite and a “Stabat Mater” by Arvo Pärt. \n \nSynopsis \nThe Cuban Norge Cedeño Raffo creates to religious music\, of all things. The young\, up-and-coming choreographer was a soloist with Danza Contemporánea de Cuba\, the most important contemporary company in Cuba. Arvo Pärt’s “Stabat Mater” becomes a painful farewell work for him. The Estonian composer set the medieval text about the pain of the Mother of God to music in his characteristic\, reduced style. The moving effect of this music also characterises the expressive\, free and\, in the most beautiful sense\, pure dance: how can one find hope again in a destroyed world and after such a great loss\, how can one go on living\, Norge Cedeño Raffo asks himself in his work. \n\nChoreographer Danièle Desnoyers comes from Montréal\, the metropolis of modern Canadian dance\, where her light\, fluid style and her own company make her a permanent fixture on the contemporary scene. In addition to a theatrical element\, her pieces always have a strong relationship to music. Her creation for Aterballetto is based on a suite by the Italian composer Federico Gon; the specialist for baroque music was inspired by Henry Purcell. \n  \n \n  \nCredits \nSTABAT MATER\n(Creation for 3 dancers\, 3 musicians\, 3 singers) \nChoreography Norge Cedeño Raffo\nSet and lighting design Fabiana Piccioli\nMusic Stabat Mater by Arvo Pärt\nCostume design Norge Cedeño Raffo and Fabiana Piccioli\nAssistant to the choreographer Thais Suàrez Fernàndez \nWITH DROOPING WINGS\n(Creation for 8 dancers\, 4 strings) \nChoreography Danièle Desnoyers\nMusic An English Suite by Federico Gon after Henry Purcell\nSet and lighting design Fabiana Piccioli\nCostume design Danièle Desnoyers\nWith the support of Délégation du Québec à Rome and Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec \n \n\nCo-design and co-production Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto and Fondazione Arturo Toscanini\nCo-production Festspiele Ludwigshafen\, Fondazione I Teatri di Reggio Emilia \nWorld-premiere 23 October 2022\, Reggio Emilia\, Festival Aperto\, Teatro Municipale Romolo Valli (I)\nGerman premiere 9-10 December 2022\, Ludwigshafen\, Theater Im Pfalzbau (D) \n\nDancers Aterballetto Company\nQuartetto Motus for La Toscanini: Giulia Soli\, Agnese Rava violin\, Dario Carrera viola\, Margherita Curti cello\nSoprano: Theodora Io Koutsothodoru\nCountertenor: Nicolò Balducci\nTenor: Kim Bowoo\nMusical coaching: Antonio De Lorenzi \nDocufilm Stabat Mater - Danzare oltre i confini\nNorge Cedeño Raffo’s creation Stabat Mater inspired Rai5 to make the docufilm Stabat Mater – Danzare oltre i confini (Dancing Beyond Borders). \nThe docufilm closely reports the artistic and human experience of the young talented choreographer\, for the first time in Italy\, and shows his creative process\, in the setting of the Teatro Asioli in Correggio\, a small Italian-style theatre immersed in the Po Valley\, one of the most fascinating and evocative. \nThe filming of the docufilm (directed by Alessandro D’Onghia) began on 29 January 2021 (the choreographer’s first day of work with the three dancers) and ended on 6 March 2021 (the day of the closed-door preview at the Teatro Asioli in Correggio\, with musicians and singers from the Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali Achille Peri in Reggio Emilia).
MINE is an experiment of collective\, horizontal creation and choreographic writing by ten hands that aims to carry on a research work focused on the sharing of practices\, experimentations and languages. \nEsercizi per un manifesto poetico\, winner of the 2019 edition of DNA Appunti Coreografici marks the beginning of their artistic collaboration. \nIn 2020 they debut with the choreographic project Corpi Elettrici\, in collaboration with the Gender Bender Festival and the Electronic Music School of the G.B. Martini Conservatory in Bologna. The work was initially conceived as a special project by Gender Bender and the G.B. Martini Conservatory in Bologna\, developed during the lockdown to make the 5 dancemakers of the Collective work together with 20 students from the Electronic Music and Applied Music courses. From these meetings\, which took the form of videoconference sessions\, 20 short video works were produced. From these 20 videos the MINE Collective subsequently developed a creation for the stage. \nIn 2021 they are choreographers for the project Swans never die(Danzare la memoria 2020-2022) a project of Lavanderia a Vapore – Centro di Residenza per la Danza (Piemonte dal Vivo – Circuito Multidisciplinare dello Spettacolo\, Coorpi\, Didee Arti e Comunicazioni\, Mosaico Danza\, Zerogrammi); Operaestate Festival Veneto and Centro per la Scena Contemporanea CSC Bassano del Grappa; Triennale Milano Teatro; Fondazione Teatro Grande di Brescia; Festival Bolzano Danza – Fondazione Haydn; Gender Bender Festival; “Memory in Motion. SUMMARY:Shoot me - "O" - Secus
DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto is in Bolzano with a triptych that highlights the eclecticism of its performers. \nThe evening opens with Shoot me\, a new creation by Diego Tortelli on the music of the rock group Spiritualized\, an abstract but tautly energetic choreography. This is followed by  “O”\, Philippe Kratz’s little masterpiece\, an hypnotic pas de deux with an unstoppable rhythm. All 16 dancers of the company close the evening with the visceral Secus\, a creation by Israeli choreographer Ohad Naharin with an enthralling soundtrack. \n\n  \n\n  \n\n  \nSHOOT ME \nSHOOT ME is a new creation for the whole company accompanied by the music of Spiritualized\, an English rock band formed in 1990\, and some recordings of poems recited by singer Jim Morrison that tell us about freedom. \nThe work in its construction is inspired by the concept of “concert-ballet” revisited in a contemporary key where music and dance accompany each other in a composition devoid of narrative\, but which thanks to the power of music\, sometimes aggressive and other times poetic guides us to create open imagery and to feel emotions. \nA fundamental part of SHOOT ME is the strength of a group guided by individual voices\, the desire of a body that wants to be observed and a body that wants to be heard\, that wants to transmit. \nThe work is inspired by images of demonstrations\, pride\, catwalks\, everything that unites us in a group that at the same time allows us not to lose our voice. The exact opposite of a military parade or a political party. We talk about the beauty of the body serving the community as a means of entertainment\, but also of reflection and research.\nIn fact\, the term “SHOOT ME” is used by videomakers at the moment when a camera’s gaze is caught on an action to be immortalized. Instead in pop culture the term “SHOOT ME” in slang is also often referred to as the request to feel emotions after a period of alexithymia “please\, shoot me with some feelings…” \nA frontal work that aims to put the dancers on stage and the audience in the audience in a direct exchange relationship: a game of seduction\, of glances\, of sweat\, an assault on the senses and an ode to the body\, to breathing the same air\, sweat\, tears\, fury\, pride. \nO \nThe idea behind “O” is eternity and how to achieve it is the ultimate goal of humanity. As for example in the summer of 2017 in Hong Kong\, when for the first time two humanoid robots interacted with each other. It has become clear to all that a future\, in which all human knowledge is transmitted by communicating inorganic material\, is at hand. \n“O” can be seen as two human beings or two robots celebrating this event in a state of transcendence and emotional realization\, in which both move together to the infinite rhythm of their unstoppable hearts.\nOr\, like the spaceship computer Hal in Stanley Kubrick’s film “2001: A Space Odyssey” when he says deceptively\, “I know I have made some very poor decisions recently\, but I can give you my complete assurance that my work will return to normal. I still have the utmost enthusiasm and confidence in the mission. And I want to help you.” \nSECUS \nSecus is a creation by Ohad Naharin that boasts a musical collage stretching from the unusual electronic styles of AGF to the seductive Indian melodies of Kaho Naa Pyar Hai to the resonant harmonies of the Beach Boys. This adventurously eclectic mix serves as a fitting backdrop for the boldly extravagant choreography. A human alphabet of runs\, solos\, neat and clean gestures\, interrupted duets is composed before our incredulous eyes\, which\, through precise and sudden kicks\, sinuous disarticulations of the hips\, torsos bending in all directions like molding rubber\, expresses pure emotions and feelings without becoming sentimental. Joy\, vulnerability\, fear\, innocence\, confusion and anger weave a harmonious and dynamic canvas that oscillates between delicacy and exaggeration. \nCREDITS \nSHOOT ME \nChoreography Diego Tortelli\nMusic Spiritualized\nCostumes Marco De Vincenzo\nLights Roman Fliegel \nDuration 30′ – For the 16 dancers of the company \nProduction Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto\nCoproduction Fondazione I Teatri di Reggio Emilia \n“O” \nChoreography Philippe Kratz\nMusic Mark Pritchard and The Field\nCostumes Francesca Messori\nLights Carlo Cerri \nDuration 12′ – For 2 dancers \nProduction Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto \nFirst prize at the 32nd Hannover Choreographic Competition – June 2018 \nPhilippe Kratz is a stARTacademy member of Bayer Arts & Culture. \nSECUS \nChoreography Ohad Naharin\nMusic Chari Chari\, Kid 606 + Rayon (mix: Stefan Ferry)\, AGF\, Chronomad (Wahed)\, Fennesz\, Kaho Naa Pyar Hai\, Seefeel\, The Beach Boys\nSound design & editing Ohad Fishof\nCostumes Rakefet Levy\nLights Avi Yona Bueno (Bambi)\nAssistant choreographers Rachael Osborne\, Ian Robinson\nCreation for Batsheva Dance Company (as part of Three\, 2005) \nDuration 30′ – For the 16 dancers of the company \nProduction Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto \nCo-production Festival Oriente Occidente (I)\, Les Halles de Schaerbeek (B)\, Malraux scène nationale Chambéry Savoie (F) \nPhilippe Kratz’s cloud|materia is supported by Bayer Culture Engagement (D)

SUMMARY:DROP
DESCRIPTION:XL Dance Company – “Prima di domani” – ph. Elena Bianchi \nThe young XL Dance Company\, directed by Emanuela Baratin and Laura Matano\, previews Drop\, the new creation by Laura Matano. \nCredits \nFrom an idea by Laura Matano\nChoreography: Laura Matano\nMusical collaborator: Marco Giacomelli\nConcept and lyrics: Mariagrazia Ferro\nSet design: Cinzia Macis \nConcept \nKnowledge is only possible by differentiation\, at least in order to share it and be understood\, it is mostly necessary to affirm that something is not something else.\nUndeniable\, even a little frustrating\, is the presence of an internal dichotomy within the human being\, let us say biological\, which makes the double a moment of synthesis but also of contrast.\nThe double takes on a symbolic value from scientific and objective observation. The double nature can be interpreted in a dissociative key\, of splitting or\, at the same time\, as a defence and synthesis mechanism. \nThe double is a fetish that embodies how we are made and how far we can think and think about ourselves. \nThe choreography is designed to be performed by three female and three male dancers.\nThe entire production consists of three acts that can also be staged independently. ACT I -female-\, ACT II -male-\, ACT III -mixed. \nAct I and Act II will differ only in the execution of the choreography by the two groups of dancers. There will be no change in the choreographic structure\, which will remain identical; what will change is the mode of execution\, since one act will be performed by female dancers and the other by male dancers. \nAct III constitutes the moment of synthesis in which the above-mentioned differences are resolved and renewed and will have its own choreography. \nXL DANCE COMPANY \nIt was born in Reggio Emilia under the artistic direction of Emanuela Baratin and Laura Matano. \nThe aim of the dance company is to create performances by circulating choreographers and international realities. In XL Dance Company\, the movement\, the body\, the gestures become matter and surface for the individual and collective expression\, instruments of choreographic experimentation through methods and techniques supporting a creativity born from intuitions\, resonances and perceptions. The productions reflect the DNA of XL Dance Company\, which makes contamination between styles its distinctive feature. Open to innovation\, the dancers perform in important national and international festivals and theatres. \nstudioxlcontemporary.it \nINFO & TICKETS \nTICKETS\nFull: 3 euro\nUnder 6: free \nPURCHASING TICKETS \nTickets can be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it. \nThe ticket office service at the Fonderia is open from 17.30. \nTickets are not numbered. \nCONTACTS \nTel 0522273016 \nMobile and whatsapp 3341023554

SUMMARY:Made in Italy 27.0 - OPEN REHEARSAL
DESCRIPTION:Agora Coaching Project – Made in Italy 27.0 – ph Nicola Stasi \nOPEN REHEARSAL\nProtagonists are Agora Coaching Project‘s dancers\, a project of advanced training in dance promoted and supported by MM Contemporary Dance Company and A.S.D Progetto Danza of Reggio Emilia under the artistic direction of Michele Merola and Enrico Morelli. Created in 2010\, the course is now gaining full recognition in the European dance world and boasts collaborations with internationally renowned teachers and choreographers. \nOn stage Made in Italy 27.0 with choreography by Uri Ivgi and Johan Greben\, Emanuele Soavi \nNice to meet you \nChoreography Uri Ivgi and Johan Greben\nAssistant to choreography Fabrizio Di Franco\nMusic Tom Parkinson\nDramaturgy Judith Schoneveld \nAn empty space that slowly fills with different personalities\, who meet and investigate together the complex simplicity of human relationships.\nNice to meet you is an open space that aims to break the fourth wall and create an intimate dialogue between dancers and spectators\, almost as if sharing a secret. \nThe movement is earthy but also light and ironic\, emphasizing the myriad nuances of human nature and the enormous fragility involved in looking into someone’s eyes and saying “nice to meet you.” \nAllegro Beyond Sonatas \nChoreography Emanuele Soavi\nAssistant choreographers Federico Casadei\, Lorenzo Molinaro\nMusic J. S. Bach\, Stefan Bohne\nCostumes Nuvia Valestri \nThis work was born out of the study of deepening the concept of technical exactitude and at the same time freedom of movement research.\nA physical response to the counterpoints\, rhythms\, pointed complexes and speed of J. S. Bach’s music. \nOn stage\, the performers create configurations that are constantly evolving. Short solos\, duets and ensemble groupings appear and disappear; they melt in and out of darkness and openings at the back of the stage. Movement is an extended exploration of the shapes and geometries that human bodies can create in a formal context. \nThere is no possibility of hiding in Allegro Beyond Sonatas. Every part of the body must be extensively explored as each movement articulates through the entire frame – vocabulary of the body; including the fingertips\, including the expression of one’s identity. \nAgora Coaching Project \nAGORA COACHING PROJECT is an annual dance training project for dancers aged 18 to 22\, based in Reggio Emilia. SUMMARY:Don Juan
DESCRIPTION:At Teatro delle Muse in Ancona Aterballetto dances Don Juan\, the full evening production by Johan Inger.

SUMMARY:MADE IN ITALY 27.0
DESCRIPTION:Agora Coaching Project – Made in Italy 27.0 – ph Nicola Stasi \nProtagonists are Agora Coaching Project‘s dancers\, a project of advanced training in dance promoted and supported by MM Contemporary Dance Company and A.S.D Progetto Danza of Reggio Emilia under the artistic direction of Michele Merola and Enrico Morelli. SUMMARY:SECUS - "O" - SHOOT ME
DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto continues its tour and arrives in Terrassa\, Catalonia. \nThe evening opens with  Secus\,  a creation by Israeli choreographer Ohad Naharin with an enthralling soundtrack. This is followed by “O”\, Philippe Kratz’s little masterpiece\, an hypnotic pas de deux with an unstoppable rhythm. All 16 dancers in the company close the evening with Shoot me\, a new creation by Diego Tortelli to the music of the rock band Spiritualized\, an abstract but tense and energetic choreography. \n\n  \n\n  \n\n  \nSECUS \nSecus is a creation by Ohad Naharin that boasts a musical collage extending from the unusual electronic styles of AGF to the seductive Indian melodies of Kaho Naa Pyar Hai to the resonant harmonies of the Beach Boys. This adventurously eclectic mix serves as a fitting background for the boldly extravagant choreography. Joy\, vulnerability\, fear\, innocence\, confusion and anger weave an harmonious and dynamic canvas that oscillates between delicacy and exaggeration. \nO \nThe idea behind “O” is eternity and how to achieve it is the ultimate goal of humanity. As for example in the summer of 2017 in Hong Kong\, when for the first time two humanoid robots interacted with each other. It has become clear to all that a future\, in which all human knowledge is transmitted by communicating inorganic material\, is at our fingertips. \n“O” can be seen as two human beings or two robots celebrating this event in a state of transcendence and emotional realization\, in which both move together to the infinite rhythm of their unstoppable hearts.\nOr\, like the spaceship’s computer Hal in Stanley Kubrick’s film “2001: A Space Odyssey” when he says deceptively\, “I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently\, but I can give you my complete assurance that my work will return to normal. I still have the utmost enthusiasm and confidence in the mission. And I want to help you.” \nSHOOT ME \nSHOOT ME is a new creation for the whole company accompanied by the music of Spiritualized\, an English rock band formed in 1990\, and by some recordings of poems recited by singer Jim Morrison that tell us about freedom. \nThe work in its construction is inspired by the concept of “concert-ballet”\, revisited in a contemporary key where music and dance combine each other in a composition devoid of narrative\, but which\, thanks to the power of music\, sometimes aggressive and other times poetic guides us to create open imageries and to feel emotions. We talk about the beauty of the body serving the community as an  entertainment medium\, but also of reflection and research.\nIn fact\, the term “SHOOT ME” is used by videomakers  when a camera’s gaze is caught on an action to be immortalized. In pop culture instead\, the term “SHOOT ME” in slang is also often referred to as a request to feel emotions after a period of alexithymia “please\, shoot me with some feelings…” \nA frontal work that aims to put the dancers on stage and the audience in the stall in a direct exchange relationship: a game of seduction\, glances\,  sweat\, an assault on the senses and an ode to the body\, to breathing the same air\, sweat\, tears\, fury\, pride. \nCREDITS \nSECUS \nChoreography Ohad Naharin\nMusic Chari Chari\, Kid 606 + Rayon (mix: Stefan Ferry)\, AGF\, Chronomad (Wahed)\, Fennesz\, Kaho Naa Pyar Hai\, Seefeel\, The Beach Boys\nSound design & editing Ohad Fishof\nCostume Design Rakefet Levy\nLighting Design Avi Yona Bueno (Bambi)\nAssistant choreographers Rachael Osborne\, Ian Robinson\nCreation for Batsheva Dance Company (as part of Three\, 2005) \nDuration 30′ – For 16 dancers from the company \nProduction Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto \nCo-production Festival Oriente Occidente (I)\, Les Halles de Schaerbeek (B)\, Malraux scène nationale Chambéry Savoie (F) \n“O” \nChoreography Philippe Kratz\nMusic Mark Pritchard and The Field\nCostume Design Francesca Messori\nLighting Design Carlo Cerri \nDuration 12′ – For 2 dancers \nProduction Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto \nFirst prize at the 32nd Hannover Choreographic Competition – June 2018 \nPhilippe Kratz is a stARTacademy member of Bayer Arts & Culture. \nSHOOT ME \nChoreography Diego Tortelli\nMusic Spiritualized\nCostume Design Marco De Vincenzo\nLighting Design Roman Fliegel \nDuration 30′ – For 16 dancers from the company \nProduction Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto\nCoproduction Fondazione I Teatri di Reggio Emilia
