DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto performs Storie in Macerata. \nStorie is a small anthology of danced fragments. They constitute only an infinitesimal part of the very rich artistic and human universe of the two choreographers  Diego Tortelli and Philippe Kratz. \nTortelli creates two pieces: Preludio\, opening the evening\, is a love letter to the body for five dancers on the music of Nick Cave\, Another story is a duet on the impossible gesture of 2020\, the embrace. Between past and future are Kratz’s two creations. The “O” duo offers us two bodies/robots\, forcing us to question how the meaning of physical contact might change: will it remain emotional and felt\, or will it become serial and alienated?\nAlpha Grace\, a six-step in the evening’s conclusion\, is a reflection on empathy\, a form of gentle communication between people who feel on the same level. It too is challenged by the present times.

DESCRIPTION:The Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto dances Double Side in Baden\, Switzerland. \nBaroque music and contemporary dance are combined in the new programme of the Italian Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto\, which features two choreographers from Canada and Cuba who are little known in Italy\, Danièle Desnoyers and Norge Cedeño Raffo. In close collaboration with the Fondazione Arturo Toscanini from Parma\, its orchestral counterpart from Emilia-Romagna Region\, the renowned company brings along a musical ensemble of singers and string players\, dancing to a baroque suite and a “Stabat Mater” by Arvo Pärt. \n \nSynopsis \nThe Cuban Norge Cedeño Raffo creates to religious music\, of all things. The young\, up-and-coming choreographer was a soloist with Danza Contemporánea de Cuba\, the most important contemporary company in Cuba. Arvo Pärt’s “Stabat Mater” becomes a painful farewell work for him. The Estonian composer set the medieval text about the pain of the Mother of God to music in his characteristic\, reduced style. The moving effect of this music also characterises the expressive\, free and\, in the most beautiful sense\, pure dance: how can one find hope again in a destroyed world and after such a great loss\, how can one go on living\, Norge Cedeño Raffo asks himself in his work. \n\nChoreographer Danièle Desnoyers comes from Montréal\, the metropolis of modern Canadian dance\, where her light\, fluid style and her own company make her a permanent fixture on the contemporary scene. In addition to a theatrical element\, her pieces always have a strong relationship to music. DESCRIPTION:The Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto dances Double Side in Gütersloh\, Germany\, on 29th and 30th March. \nBaroque music and contemporary dance are combined in the new programme of the Italian Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto\, which features two choreographers from Canada and Cuba who are little known in Italy\, Danièle Desnoyers and Norge Cedeño Raffo. In close collaboration with the Fondazione Arturo Toscanini from Parma\, its orchestral counterpart from Emilia-Romagna Region\, the renowned company brings along a musical ensemble of singers and string players\, dancing to a baroque suite and a “Stabat Mater” by Arvo Pärt. \n \nSynopsis \nThe Cuban Norge Cedeño Raffo creates to religious music\, of all things. The young\, up-and-coming choreographer was a soloist with Danza Contemporánea de Cuba\, the most important contemporary company in Cuba. Arvo Pärt’s “Stabat Mater” becomes a painful farewell work for him. The Estonian composer set the medieval text about the pain of the Mother of God to music in his characteristic\, reduced style. The moving effect of this music also characterises the expressive\, free and\, in the most beautiful sense\, pure dance: how can one find hope again in a destroyed world and after such a great loss\, how can one go on living\, Norge Cedeño Raffo asks himself in his work. \n\nChoreographer Danièle Desnoyers comes from Montréal\, the metropolis of modern Canadian dance\, where her light\, fluid style and her own company make her a permanent fixture on the contemporary scene. A considerable achievement for the training course supported by the MM Contemporary Dance Company\, which is enriched by such a prestigious collaboration as Sasha Waltz & Guest\, bringing Agora fully into a wide-ranging European training context. “In C”\, which the Fondazione I Teatri will host at the Teatro Valli in a few months\, danced by Sasha Waltz’s company\, is one of the German choreographer’s latest works. DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto performs Storie in Pesaro. \nStorie is a small anthology of danced fragments. They constitute only an infinitesimal part of the very rich artistic and human universe of the two choreographers Diego Tortelli and Philippe Kratz. \nTortelli creates two pieces: Preludio\, opening the evening\, is a love letter to the body for five dancers on the music of Nick Cave\, Another story is a duet on the impossible gesture of 2020\, the embrace. Between past and future are Kratz’s two creations. The “O” duo offers us two bodies/robots\, forcing us to question how the meaning of physical contact might change: will it remain emotional and felt\, or will it become serial and alienated?\nAlpha Grace\, a six-step in the evening’s conclusion\, is a reflection on empathy\, a form of gentle communication between people who feel on the same plane. It too is challenged by the present times. \n
