DESCRIPTION:The CCN/Aterballetto dances in Bilbao\, Spain\, the triptych composed of Rhapsody in Blue by Iratxe Ansa and Igor Bacovich\, Solo Echo by Crystal Pite\, and Shoot me by Diego Tortelli. \nSOLO ECHO – Crystal Pite\nLove\, loss\, and acceptance are at the heart of Solo Echo by the Canadian choreographer Crystal Pite\, inspired by two cello and piano sonatas by Johannes Brahms and the poem “Lines for Winter” by Mark Strand. As in Strand’s poem\, Solo Echo evokes winter\, music\, and the moving body to express something essential about acceptance and loss. \n \nRHAPSODY IN BLUE – Iratxe Ansa & Igor Bacovich\n«Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin has several attractive points for us. It is a splendid piece of music\, well-known but not so frequently listened to by the younger generations. Introducing this work to young people is a good objective\, and this piece can be a way to present a less distant and less “American” vision of Gershwin\, going beyond the cultural context in which the rhapsody was created. The rhapsody will inevitably dictate the choreographic work\, and the lively\, sparkling changes with which to play are fantastic. » – Iratxe Ansa & Igor Bacovich \n\n  \nGLORY HALL – Diego Tortelli\nGlory Hall by Diego Tortelli is a sensorial and rebellious journey in an in-between space\, suspended between light and darkness. In a black but never truly dark space\, the choreography unfolds as an ecstatic rite where sensuality and profane spirituality intertwine\, creating a continuous interplay of pleasure\, virtuosity\, and the pursuit of a personal version of glory. \n\n  \nThe performances in Bilbao are in partnership with Italian Institute of Culture in Madrid and Directorate-General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. \n\n \n

We find ourselves in uncomfortable situations\, evoking emotions that range from terror and fear to joy and euphoria.   \nVisiting the dream world is inevitable for us\, as it is linked to our physical need for sleep. However\, sometimes\, due to the complexities of daily life\, we experience the unpleasant condition of INSOMNIA\, caused by troubling thoughts. The dancers embody the idea of the *Homo Empathicus*\, a figure often overlooked in our era but essential for fostering genuine relationships\, free from technological interference: the body and voice thus become the instruments of this shared experience.   \nDescartes’ famous motto “I think\, therefore I am” almost transforms into “I participate\, therefore I am.” \n\nAGORA COACHING PROJECT \nAgora Coaching Project is an annual dance training project aimed at dancers aged 18 to 22\, based in Reggio Emilia. Founded in 2010\, it is directed by Michele Merola and Enrico Morelli and is promoted and supported by the MM Contemporary Dance Company and the Centro Permanente Danza of Reggio Emilia. The project aims to train artists who are ready to approach the variety of the international dance market with flexibility\, artists capable of responding to different technical and stylistic demands that come from this very market. The project aims to offer a wide range of stimuli\, both technical and cultural\, and fosters exchange between students and choreographers\, each coming from different and interesting backgrounds in the international scene. Agora offers the students the opportunity to meet renowned choreographers with different stylistic orientations\, and over the years\, many illustrious names have participated.
