DESCRIPTION:Under the Flesh by Bassam Aboud Diab is a contemporary dance performance\, a personal reflection that investigates the way the human body reacts to situations of war and danger and how this survival instinct can be expressed in a dance with its own specific technique. \nThe performance is preceded by a speech with an expert on the relationship between dance and war. \nCANCELLED PERFORMANCE\nFondazione Nazionale della Danza informs\, according to the DPCM of March 4th\, 2020\, on “Measures to combat and contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus on the entire national territory”\, being evidently of absolute inapplicability the possibility to allow places of theatrical performance to respect the interpersonal distance of at least 1 meter\, the SUSPENSION until April 3rd of all activities scheduled in its spaces. \nCredits \nChoreography and direction: Bassam Abou Diab\nPerformer: Bassam Abou Diab\, Ayman Sharaf El Dine and a translator\nMusic: Ayman Sharaf El Dine \nCo-produced by Maqamat Beit El Raqs\nDuration: 30′ \nInsights \nIn 1996 the war came back and it was a long time since I had met my friends\, the bombing. My friends this time were much more sophisticated and strong than previous times and it had been a long time since I had used the fall strategy. I took note of the change and elaborated the strategy again trying not to die. \nThe second strategy is to let your body go to the end\, you take advantage of the moment to go to the extreme part of your body / the extreme boundary of your body and avoid the danger. Actually it is not a strategy but I was trying to celebrate it because I got a new pair of shoes from European aid. The best part of a war are the gifts\, games and donations that we usually receive after every war but in that case my neighbor received more gifts because his parents died during the war. \nDuring the year 2000 I changed. New ideas in mind about the relationship between cultures\, the body\, death and rituals. My new strategy is to bring together traditions and identities to create a particular taste and a whole new meaning for existence. \nIn 2006 things got more difficult. I was forced to use a huge number of strategies to survive. Pain and death were just music to me. I think the time is over and you are thinking that I said a lot of stupid things but the most important thing is that you try to discover your own strategies. \nBassam Abou Diab \nBassam Abou Diab \nHe is an emerging choreographer from Beirut who has used the Moultaqa Leymoun platform to its full potential. His history and interest in theatre\, folklore and contemporary dance soon pushed him into the regional and international dance scene. He worked under the guidance of Omar Rajeh | Maqamat\, Gilles Jobin\, Damien Jalet\, Marco Cantalupo and other established artists. Cultural influences and adaptability create a captivating sense of wonder in his work. Bassam is an artist associated with Maqamat and is currently supported by Maqamat Beit El Raqs together with APAP for the APAP 2020 project. \n\n  \n\n  \n

DESCRIPTION:CANCELLED PERFORMANCE\nAterballetto dances at Teatro Fabbri in Forlì a double bill signed by Andonis Foniadakis and Johan Inger. \nAntitesi by Andonis Foniadakis embodies the will of the choreographer to bring into play the opposites: local and global\, slow and fast\, male and female\, abstract and concrete; it feeds on ancient and current\, in the spirit of the “all present in real time” that distinguishes our lives in this millennium dense\, fast\, ready to break all the schemes\, but never giving up the past. \n\nSecus is a creation by Ohad Naharin that boasts a musical collage that extends from the unusual electronic styles of AGF to the seductive Indian melodies of Kaho Naa Pyar Hai to the resonant harmonies of the Beach Boys. This adventurously eclectic mix serves as a suitable backdrop for the boldly extravagant choreography. Joy\, vulnerability\, fear\, innocence\, confusion and anger weave a harmonious and dynamic canvas that oscillates between delicacy and exaggeration.

Requiem è pensato come un viaggio a quattro stazioni\, che possono essere intese anche come le tappe di un’ideale mappa culturale e sociale del territorio legate dal fil rouge rappresentato dalla musica di Giuseppe Verdi.\nI luoghi scelti sono la Pieve di San Genesio di San Secondo Parmense\, la Pieve di Santa Maria Assunta a Bardone\, l’Abbazia San Bernardo a Fontevivo e l’Abbazia di San Basilide di Badia Cavana\, che ospiteranno al loro interno e nei sagrati quattro performance di danza contemporanea\, articolate nei mercoledì e venerdì del mese di giugno 2020. \n  \nCompagnia Artemis Danza \n“All that mankind has experienced is written in the body. To dance the soul\, the ancient one and the one of today\, is to place movement and form at the service of necessity\, urgency\, emotion and soul” M.C. \nOriginally from Ferrara and graduated with honors with a thesis on Plato and dance\, Monica Casadei\, after a competitive career in rhythmic gymnastics\, devoted herself to the study of classical and modern dance\, first in Italy\, then in London\, finally in Paris\, where she met the choreographers Pierre Doussaint and Isabelle Doubouloz and the master André Cognard Hanshi So shihan\, with whom she still practices the martial art of Aikido. He founded the company Artemis Danza in France\, with which he moved to Italy in 1997\, creating an intense production activity that counts\, to date\, over forty original creations. From 1998 to 2007 the company is in residence at the Fondazione Teatro Due in Parma\, while from 2014 it is in artistic residence at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna. The body\, my gestures are the map of what I feel and singing is my vehicle to keep me alive. \nConcerto Fisico is a composition for physical and vocal instrument\, a twisted and crooked greatest hits that has nothing nostalgic to tell the story of a group through the stories it has become a vehicle. A juke-box that awakens the emotional accents of a memory that is still the present\, of how we transformed ourselves\, of the sand from which we emerged\, of the Creatures\, of the wooden horses built for Troy\, of the fire extinguishers thrown in the dark\, of the sea of milk where Woyzeck and Andres talk about the void\, of Desdemona’s desperate scream\, of what happened to Thebes\, of the Resistance\, of the struggle and of the Revolution\, of how in the end the Evil Lambs are all of us\, of the mirrored floor and an orange rope\, of the power and heavy coats of 1918\, of stuffed foxes and sexual seasons\, of death and a Brazilian with a green plume\, of a small white dog\, of taboos\, of plastic ducks and Kenyan acrobats\, of firemen and priests\, of an accident and a gas station\, of a radio and a city always on fire\, of why things happen. Then everything disappears\, sucked into the eyes\, as if it never existed. \nConcerto Fisico is a musical tale for actions that retraces and redraws the history of Balletto Civile\, that is\, my own\, the history of my company. It was founded during a long artistic residence inside the former Psychiatric Hospital of Udine\, one of the centres where Basaglia revolutionized the concept of madness. My art was born in that place\, isolated from the world and at the same time in the centre of its burning fire. \nMichela Lucenti \nBalletto Civile \nA nomadic group by definition\, animated by a strong ethical tension\, Balletto Civile was founded in 2003 by Michela Lucenti. The creative approach is a research based on movement that emerges from the deep scenic relationship between the artists. DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto dances in Scandiano three choreographies signed by Saul Daniele Ardillo\, Philippe Kratz and Johan Inger. \n Lost in is the development of an idea on which Saul Daniele Ardillo has worked for more than a year\, a creation that emerges clearly from a boil of emotions\, and that draws before our eyes perhaps the most extraordinary function of art: to help us inhabit\, even literally\, our living spaces. \nThe idea behind “O” by Philippe Kratz is eternity and how to achieve it is the ultimate goal of humanity. As for example in the summer of 2017 in Hong Kong\, when for the first time two humanoid robots interacted with each other. \nIn Wolf  by Hofesh Shechter we find a sort of wild animality that crosses sometimes men and sometimes women. This adventurously eclectic mix serves as a suitable backdrop for the boldly extravagant choreography.
