DESCRIPTION:Aterballetto starts its 2023/24 season by opening the prestigious festival Le temps d’aimer la danse in Biarritz. \nOn stage YELED and SHOOT ME\, by the two young choreographers Eyal Dadon and Diego Tortelli. \nYELED\, a Hebrew word meaning “child\,” brings to the stage Israeli choreographer Eyal Dadon’s reflection\, together with Aterballetto dancers\, on the moment in life when we come to lose the innocence of children.\nSHOOT ME\, by our resident choreographer Diego Tortelli\, on the other hand\, is a frontal work that aims to put the dancers on stage and the audience in the stalls in a direct exchange relationship: a game of seduction\, of glances\, of sweat\, an assault on the senses and an ode to the body\, to breathing the same air\, sweat\, tears\, fury\, pride. \n  \n\n

DESCRIPTION:Once again this season the Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto is a guest of the Festival di Danza Contemporanea | Interno Verde Danza\, an event organized by the Teatro Comunale ‘Claudio Abbado’ in Ferrara and the Interno Verde festival. \n9 -10 September 2023 | h 12:00 – 17:00 – 18:30 | running time 1 ora \nIn the Renaissance halls of Palazzo Schifanoia\, dancers Edoardo Brovardi and Vittoria Franchina will recreate the atmosphere of Andy Warhol’s legendary ‘Factory’ through  Yes\, Yes… by Diego Tortelli. \n\nIn addition to this performance is SoaC by Federica Galimberti (who also directs) and Cristiano Buzzi (Kris)\, to music by Bach\, Tommaso Ussardi and Giuseppe Franchellucci\, who will play them on the cello.\n2 extraordinary dancers use the hip hop technique in its countless declinations to create a poetic and powerful performance. The choreography is a co-production with Orchestra Senzaspine. \n \n

DESCRIPTION:After the opening performance on 8 September\, Aterballetto dances again within the prestigious Le Temps d’Aimer la Danse festival in Biarritz. \nOn 10 September\, the company will show its talent for ubiquity and dance Storie in two different theatres\, near Biarritz\, at the same time: \nSaint-Pée-sur-Nivelle\, Espace Culturel Larreko || Errenteria – Pays Basque Sud\, Lekuona Fabrika \n\nStorie is a small anthology of danced fragments. They constitute only an infinitesimal part of the very rich artistic and human universe of the two choreographers Diego Tortelli and Philippe Kratz. \nTortelli creates two pieces: Preludio\, opening the evening\, is a love letter to the body for five dancers on the music of Nick Cave\, Another story is a duet on the impossible gesture of 2020\, the embrace. Between past and future are Kratz’s two creations. The “O” duo offers us two bodies/robots\, forcing us to question how the meaning of physical contact might change: will it remain emotional and felt\, or will it become serial and alienated?\nAlpha Grace\, a six-step in the evening’s conclusion\, is a reflection on empathy\, a form of gentle communication between people who feel on the same plane. It too is challenged by the present times. \n

What do I hear when I hear the passing of time?”\n– Carlo Rovelli \nMaking its national premiere at the MILANoLTRE Festival\, the choreography directed by Lara Guidetti\, in co-production with Compagnia Sanpapiè\, is featured in Over Dance\, a project promoted by the Centro Coreografico Nazionale / Aterballetto on the theme of longevity in dance. \nTaca Tè\, in Emilian dialect “you start”\, is a challenge to the right to exist in time\, played out between two bodies far apart in age that converge in the present of dance. On stage\, Antonio Caporilli and Francesca Lastella confront the grand theme of time and intergenerational encounter through relentless physical debate.
