SUMMARY:Made in Italy 32.0
DESCRIPTION:  \n\n  \n\n“`html\n  \nDouble Performance: \nTuesday\, June 4 – 9:00 PM\nWednesday\, June 5 – 9:00 PM \nThe protagonists of the evening are the dancers of the Agora Coaching Project\, an advanced training project promoted and supported by the MM Contemporary Dance Company and the A.S.D Progetto Danza of Reggio Emilia\, under the artistic direction of Michele Merola and Enrico Morelli. Started in 2010\, the course is gaining full recognition in the European dance world and boasts collaborations with internationally renowned teachers and choreographers. \nSCHUBERT FRAMES by Enrico Morelli \nTo the extraordinary music of Franz Schubert\, Enrico Morelli has entrusted his work: no one better than the Viennese composer has been able to interpret the conflicting feelings of love\, tension\, melancholy\, regret\, but also hope. A collage of famous pieces by Schubert\, extracted from true masterpieces – composed two centuries ago\, still amaze today for their great relevance – serve as the soundtrack to this work dedicated to the many souls of contemporary man\, where love gives way to disenchantment\, detachment to sharing\, passion to fear\, and vice versa\, in a back-and-forth between crescendos and diminuendos\, revealing entire universes and secret connections. The choreography aims to be a tale of solitudes and kindred spirits\, in an era like ours\, weary\, murky\, disenchanted\, tormented by a malaise that is in the air\, but also anxiously searching for meaning and a hope of happiness\, some tenderness. A tale of comings and goings that focuses mainly on the moment of return\, because happiness is a home to return to\, perhaps changed\, heedless of the accelerated pace of a present that risks making us struggle and a future we fear to explore. The problem is not to arrive\, but to return. To learn to love again each time. To have the courage to recognize ourselves as fragile\, and therefore generous in tenderness. \n  \nMETEOROLOGY RECHARGED by Michele Di Stefano \nSeven pieces on the coexistence and proximity between bodies\, on what makes dance a formidable tool for knowing the other and others; the work is primarily a path of appropriation of the external space to give body and rhythm to a very simple idea: that dance has the ability to create a welcoming place where someone else’s dance can exist. For this reason\, the dancers’ attention is always directed outward\, to what is near\, around the body. With an exotic touch that doesn’t hurt. We would like this space\, which each body projects outward\, to be perceived as a “possible” space of coexistence\, proximity\, and invention\, based purely on facts. \n  \nPERFORMERS \nJune 4\nErica Barusco\, Jasmine Begici\, Giovanni Karol Borriello\, Elisa D’Acciavo\, Laura Dell’Agnese\, Sara Ferrentino\, Giulia Lusetti\, Lucrezia Maggiore\, Gioele Marcante\, Maya Maselli\, Carlotta Maucioni\, Federico Musumeci\, Giada Piccinini\, Giorgia Raffetto\, Susanna Russing\, Viviana Maria Sanfilippo\, Gennaro Todisco\, Diletta Torelli \nJune 5\nCorrado Azzolini\, Giulia Boccarossa\, Elisa Bocconi\, Salvatore Bruno\, Lucrezia Capuzzelli\, Anna Dal Maso\, Vittoria Facci\, Nicole Forni\, Aurora Lattanzi\, Luna Lefebvre\, Gioele Marcante\, Laura Miotti\, Martina Pagliari\, Filippo Penco\, Martina Procacci\, Alessia Russo\, Diletta Suman\, Gaia Zorrilla \nAGORA COACHING PROJECT \nAgora Coaching Project is an annual advanced dance training project aimed at dancers aged 18 to 22\, based in Reggio Emilia. Established in 2010\, it is directed by Michele Merola and Enrico Morelli\, and is promoted and supported by the MM Contemporary Dance Company and the Centro Permanente Danza of Reggio Emilia. Its goal is to train artists who are ready to flexibly face the variety of the international dance market\, artists capable of responding to the different technical/stylistic demands that come from this same market. The project aims to offer a wide range of stimuli\, of a technical and cultural nature\, and of exchange between students and choreographers\, each coming from diverse and interesting realities in the international panorama. Agora allows young dancers to meet established choreographers with different stylistic orientations and has seen the presence of many illustrious names over the years: Michele Merola and Enrico Morelli collaborate with several teachers\, each with proven and qualified experience in the field\, to realize the project. \nCREDITS \nSCHUBERT FRAMES \nChoreography by Enrico Morelli \nMusic by Franz Schubert \nChoreography Assistants: Nicola Stasi\, Lorenzo Fiorito \nDuration: 30 minutes \n  \n— \nMETEOROLOGY RECHARGED \nChoreography by Michele Di Stefano \nRestaged by Biagio Caravano \nMusic by LCD Soundsystem\, Don Bigg\, Dame Grease & Riff Raff\, Cliff Martinez\, Lorenzo Bianchi Hoesch \nDuration: 45 minutes \n  \n\nINFO AND TICKETS \n“`html\nTICKETS\nFull price: 10 euros\nReduced price for under 30\, dance schools\, Matilde di Canossa Dance High School\, over 65\, CRAL Comune di Reggio Emilia members: 6 euros\nReduced price for under 8: 3 euros \nTICKET PURCHASE \nTickets can be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it \nThe box office opens one hour before the start of the show \nTickets are not numbered \nCONTACTS \nCell and WhatsApp: 3341023554 \nEmail: biglietteria@aterballetto.it

SUMMARY:OPEN REHEARSAL - NOTTE MORRICONE
DESCRIPTION:«”I\, Ennio Morricone\, am dead\,” wrote the composer before saying goodbye. His music\, on the other hand\, cannot do so. And this is how creators and artists always leave us without really leaving\, and this is how memory takes care to keep them alive\, to keep them safe. Notte Morricone is my gift\, a devoted tribute to the beauty he gave to the world. Ennio Morricone could be my father or my grandfather; I am a direct heir to his legacy\, to the films that (whether masterpieces\, good\, mediocre\, or bad) owe him an immeasurable debt.» – Marcos Morau \nNotte Morricone\, the new creation by CCN / Aterballetto created by the award-winning choreographer Marcos Morau\, debuts on August 1\, 2024\, at the Arena Sferisterio during the Macerata Opera Festival. The show features the entire ensemble of the Compagnia Aterballetto and\, thanks to a coalition of national co-producers\, celebrates the indelible artistic legacy of Oscar-winning Ennio Morricone. \nOn Monday\, June 10\, at 6:00 PM\, the Fonderia audience will have the opportunity to witness the preparation of Notte Morricone. \nOpen rehearsals are unique moments where one can witness the creation of a show\, interact with the artists\, and be amazed by the art of dance: a special occasion that allows the audience into the daily routines of the dancers and choreographers. \n  \nCREDITS \nDirector and Choreography MARCOS MORAU\nMusic ENNIO MORRICONE\nMusical Direction and Adaptation by MAURIZIO BILLI\nSet and Lighting MARC SALICRÚ\nCostumes SILVIA DELAGNEAU \nProduction Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto \nCommission\, Co-production\, Outdoor Premiere Macerata Opera Festival\nCo-production\, Indoor Premiere Fondazione Teatro di Roma\nCo-productions Fondazione I Teatri di Reggio Emilia\, Centro Servizi Culturali Santa Chiara Trento\, Centro Teatrale Bresciano\nCo-production Ravenna Festival | Orchestra Giovanile Luigi Cherubini \nOutdoor Premiere August 1\, 2024\, Macerata Opera Festival \nIndoor Premiere October 24 – November 10\, 2024\, Rome\, Teatro Argentina \nThe performances at Teatro Argentina are co-presented with Fondazione Teatro di Roma and Romaeuropa Festival \nEARLY SUGGESTIONS \n«I am often asked what music I listen to\, what music inspires me or accompanies me in my daily life\, and I always respond the same way: from classical music to contemporary waves\, I draw inspiration from many diverse sources\, and Ennio Morricone is always at the top of the list. \nMorricone’s music embodies that abstract sense of what is not said and not seen in films. Although it is almost impossible to separate his music from the images it accompanies\, Morricone transcends and intertwines with life itself\, with memories\, and with the beauty and cruelty of a world that continues to move forward\, destroying and building itself every day.\nHis music has a powerful melancholic quality that stems both from the contemplation of the past and from the impossibility of capturing any past experience. \nClassically trained with an avant-garde vocation\, Morricone was always beyond the trends of the moment. Today\, three years after his death\, Morricone continues to inspire artists and visionaries in various fields\, and his music belongs to an entire century\, having revived many of our great masters.\nHis music was a genre in itself\, and for this evening\, I want to build a universe based on his sensibility to confirm that his legacy is more alive than ever and that\, as he himself would say\, “my music has a life of its own\, that can live far from the films for which it was created”.» \n(Marcos Morau\, February 2023) \nMARCOS MORAU \nRecently appointed Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French Ministry of Culture and selected as the best choreographer of 2023 by the German magazine TANZ\, the career of Marcos Morau (born in Valencia in 1982) continues to flourish as a creator and stage director. \nTrained between Barcelona and New York in photography\, choreography\, theater theory\, and dramaturgy\, Marcos Morau constructs imaginary worlds and landscapes where image\, text\, movement\, music\, and space form a unique universe constantly nourished by cinema\, photography\, and literature. \nSince 2004\, Marcos has directed La Veronal\, a company present in top theaters and festivals across more than thirty countries: Théâtre National de Chaillot in Paris\, the Venice Biennale\, the Avignon Festival\, Tanz Im August in Berlin\, the RomaEuropa Festival\, the SIDance Festival de Seoul\, Sadler’s Wells in London\, Danse Danse Montreal\, among many others. \nIn addition to his work with La Veronal\, Marcos Morau is an international guest artist in various companies and theaters where he develops new creations\, always at the intersection of performing arts and dance: Nederlands Dans Theater\, Lyon Opera Ballet\, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens\, Royal Danish Ballet\, and The Royal Ballet of Flanders\, among others. \nAs the youngest creator to receive the National Dance Award\, the highest recognition in Spain\, the future of Morau and La Veronal aims to explore new formats and languages where opera\, dance\, and physical theater interact more than ever\, seeking new ways to express and communicate in our turbulent and ever-evolving times. \nStarting from this season\, he is an associated artist at the Staatsballett Berlin. \n“La Veronal is a reminder that dance is often at the forefront of the most innovative theater.” – The New York Times \n“Morau’s visual treatment is so brilliant\, so vividly strange\, that we become involved in what turns out to be a story of transmission and emancipation.” – Le Monde \n“Morau\, one of the most interesting young choreographers on the contemporary dance scene.” – El País

SUMMARY:Stravaganze in sol minore
DESCRIPTION:FND/Aterballetto-Stravaganze in sol minore\nStravaganze in sol minore by Francesca Lattuada arrives at the Colpi di Scena Festival in Forlì. \nThe magical virtuosity of Toti Scialoja (1914-1998)\, a master not only of images but also of words\, with which a dancer and a baritone play\, is at the heart of this new creation for children\, signed by the Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto. \nThe almost magical vibrations that emanate from Scialoja’s poems are like the infinite rings that form on the surface of the water when a stone is thrown: evocative of unreal or hyperreal images\, carriers of a musicality that blends poetry and nursery rhyme\, making the extraordinary and the frightening hold hands. \nUnder a clump of scarlet roses\nThe toad offers hot tea with milk\nUnder a clump of peacock-blue roses\nIt’s the toad’s turn to rinse the cups.\n(Toti Scialoja\, The Apple of Hamlet\, 1984) \nCREDITS \nDirection and Choreography: Francesca Lattuada\nTexts: Toti Scialoja (excerpted from La mela di Amleto)\nMusic: The Klezmorin\, Gustav Mahler\, Dean Martin\, Clara Rockmore\nMasks and Objects: Natali Fortier\nPerformers: Vittoria Franchina\, Piersilvio De Santis \nCo-production: Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto and Centro Teatrale Bresciano\nIn co-production with Centro Servizi Culturali Santa Chiara \n \n\n\n

SUMMARY:MICRODANZE
DESCRIPTION:  \nMicroDances arrive in Sarzana at the Fisiko! Festival – International Festival of Bad Actions. \nThe Program\nEppur si muove by Francesca Lattuada\nNear life experience by Angelin Preljocaj\nA GIG by Diego Tortelli\nActive Motivation by Elena Kekkou \nIn Eppur si muove by Francesca Lattuada\, a performer on a pedestal barrel is drawn to the notes of Beethoven’s Allegretto. His dance fascinates and seduces\, imposing like a prayer chant. Near life experience by Angelin Preljocaj explores the body in intermediate situations\, such as ecstasy and fainting. The subject is elsewhere\, captured by space and time. A GIG\, in the jargon of musicians and rock enthusiasts\, is a performance by the headlining group of an event. Diego Tortelli designs a short opening or closing act\, something brief to warm up the audience or bid them goodnight. Active Motivation by Elena Kekkou explores human existence\, an infinite line that\, in its wandering\, intersects with other lines creating interaction. \n\nFor groups of 30 spectators every 10 minutes. To attend the performance\, it is necessary to arrive promptly at the chosen time slot. \nDuration: 60 minutes \nThree performances: 8:00 PM\, 8:45 PM\, 9:30 PM

This is the new project by CCN / Aterballetto\, a series of six cultural dissemination events that\, from May 27 to November 29\, 2024\, will fill the halls of the Fonderia in Reggio Emilia. Connecting the arts\, movement\, and current events\, the meetings address themes such as psychological well-being\, the relationship with the city\, the future\, and ecology through an experimental cultural medium. \nNicolas Ballario\, journalist\, curator\, and communicator\, introduces the topic of the debate\, which\, moving between dance and contemporary arts\, reflects on the body from a different perspective each time.
