A work that places the body at the center as a political\, emotional\, and social statement\, offering a direct and contemporary portrait of today’s young people. \nTuesday\, June 9 at 9.00 PM\nWednesday\, June 10 at 9.00 PM \nCREDITS \nDirection: Martina La Ragione\, KrisChoreographers: Rada Caselle\, Mattia Quintavalle\, Martina La Ragione\, Simone Panzera\, Kris\, Marco Cristofori \nkris \n\n \n\n\n\nCristiano Buzzi\, known professionally as KRIS (1968)\, is a performer\, choreographer\, and artistic director. He began his path in dance in 1983\, approaching breaking through the influence of films and hip hop culture of that time\, and in the following years expanded his research into other styles within the urban scene. Through constant participation in jams\, events\, and international battles\, he established himself as a leading figure in Italian Hip Hop. \nOver the course of his career\, he has received major recognition\, including winning Best Show at the Battle of the Year International in Germany in 2004\, as well as numerous national titles and important placements in major European competitions. In 2007\, he also received a prestigious award for his contribution to the spread of locking\, presented by Greg Campbellock Jr.\, an original member of The Lockers. \nAlongside his competitive career\, he developed a solid international path as both performer and judge\, taking part in major events within the urban dance scene. He has also collaborated with the television world\, working as a choreographer\, teacher\, and performer on several successful programmes\, as well as creating choreography for music productions and video content. \nHis artistic research also extends to theatre\, where he creates choreography for performances and tours\, collaborating with companies and musicians and contributing to the dialogue between hip hop and other stage languages. He is also involved in commercial and fashion events\, taking on roles in artistic direction and choreography for major brands and large-scale events. \nHe currently teaches at prestigious dance academies in Bologna and is the artistic director of KC Artist\, a company active in entertainment and events. Alongside Michele Merola and Enrico Morelli\, the project is supported by several teachers\, each with solid and highly qualified experience in the field. \n \nMICHELE MEROLA \nMichele Merola is the artistic director of MM Contemporary Dance Company\, the contemporary dance company he founded in Reggio Emilia in 1999. With the company\, Merola has brought many of his choreographies to the stage\, both in Italy and abroad\, including La metà dell’ombra\, winner of the Anita Bucchi Award in 2010\, and Bolero\, recipient of the Europaindanza 2017 Award – Choreography Merit Award. \n \nSince 2000\, he has created numerous works for other companies\, including Aterballetto\, Teatro San Carlo in Naples\, Dominic Walsh Dance Theatre\, Teatro Massimo in Palermo\, Junior Balletto di Toscana\, the National Theatre of Belgrade\, Tanzcompagnie Landesbühnen Sachsen in Dresden\, and the Rome Opera House.
