SUMMARY:Ballade
DESCRIPTION:Under the title BALLADE\, the MM Contemporary Dance Company\, directed by Michele Merola\, presents a new show featuring two original choreographies by two Italian creators\, Mauro Bigonzetti and Enrico Morelli. The pieces\, performed by the MMCDC dancers\, will take the audience on a journey through different generations: BALLADE by Bigonzetti is a comprehensive portrait of the 1980s\, a decade that has lost its temporal boundaries to become a symbol of an era\, while ELEGIA by Morelli is set in and tells the story of our current age\, a time that\, more than ever\, brings vertigo and confusion\, but also the renewed hope for a new beginning. \n  \n\nWorld Premiere: Theatre Comunale di Modena – Saturday\, November 19\, 2022 \nProduction: MM Contemporary Dance Company\nCo-production: Teatro Comunale di Modena\nWith the support of ATER Fondazione\, Municipality of Correggio / Centro di Documentazione Pier Vittorio Tondelli – Correggio \nMinistry of Culture / Emilia-Romagna Region / Municipality of Reggio Emilia / Centro Permanente Danza – Reggio Emilia \nThe performance BALLADE won the Danza & Danza 2022 Award for Best Italian Production. \nELEGIA \nChoreography: Enrico Morelli\nMusic: Frédéric Chopin\, Giuseppe Villarosa\nLighting Design: Carlo Cerri\nCostumes: Nuvia Valestri\nNarrating Voice: Isidora Balberini\nChoreographic Assistant: Paolo Lauri\nDancers: Lorenzo Fiorito\, Mario Genovese\, Matilde Gherardi\, Fabiana Lonardo\, Alice Ruspaggiari\, Nicola Stasi\, Giuseppe Villarosa\nDuration: 35 minutes \n \nPeople searching for their own path and identity\, united by the same inclusion in a historical period\, in an era like the present one\, which brings vertigo and confusion. Individuals tracing new trajectories and seeking new paths to regain their direction\, in a moment of exile from normality. A story of lost moments and relationships\, along with a search in one’s memory for familiar and comforting images and landscapes. A dreamlike journey to rediscover one’s lost self. A collective dance that immerses us in a vortex of lines and trajectories that intersect and intertwine\, in an apparent primordial chaos until the return of calm\, which carries the choice to surrender to newfound hope\, looking forward to a new rebirth. A tribute to care and attention to others\, amplified by words from the poetry of Mariangela Gualtieri. \nBALLADE \nChoreography and Direction: Mauro Bigonzetti\nMusic: Nick Cave\, CCCP – Fedeli alla linea\, Leonard Cohen\, Arvo Pärt\, Prince\, Nina Simone\, Frank Zappa\nLighting Design: Carlo Cerri\nCostumes: Silvia Califano\nChoreographic Assistant: Roberto Zamorano\nRepetiteurs: Paolo Lauri\, Enrico Morelli\nDancers: Lorenzo Fiorito\, Mario Genovese\, Matilde Gherardi\, Fabiana Lonardo\, Alice Ruspaggiari\, Rossana Samele\, Nicola Stasi\, Giuseppe Villarosa\, Leonardo Zannella\nDuration: 50 minutes \n \nMauro Bigonzetti’s new creation for the MM Contemporary Dance Company aims to be a tribute\, a collective narrative\, a comprehensive portrait of the 1980s\, a decade that has lost its temporal boundaries to become a symbol of an era. \nA musical image narrative that recovers the sensations of a generation\, its erased euphoria\, collective absurdities\, “dreams cast away\,” but at the same time also reclaims the lifestyle of those years\, the scents of vitality\, and the dense experimental artistic creativity that characterized a rapidly evolving society\, transforming in step with the impulses of sharing and the anxiety of change. \nA work staged without artifices\, performed by the MMCDC dancers\, and tailored to a musical dramaturgy structured around the tensions and visions of those years\, drawing from various authors who were prominent during that period\, from Prince to the anarchic genius of Frank Zappa\, to the profound poetry of Leonard Cohen\, and the punk and existential aesthetic of CCCP. \n \nThe choreography is also inspired by one of the most significant literary voices of the time: it aims to pay homage to the writer Pier Vittorio Tondelli\, who in those years created and produced his major masterpieces. Through an abstract narrative\, the choreographic score brings to life a space of memory and feeling where man\, shedding his shell and armor\, rediscovers his living and vulnerable body. A journey that leads us to uncover pain\, love\, abandonment\, and rebirth. A symbolic journey in the incessant search for a new collective rebirth where beauty enriches and guides our path. \nMM CONTEMPORARY DANCE COMPANY \nThe MM Contemporary Dance Company is a contemporary dance company directed by choreographer Michele Merola. It was founded in 1999 as a center for producing events and performances and as a promoter of festivals and workshops with the goal of fostering exchanges and alliances between Italian and international artists\, witnesses and spokespersons of contemporary culture. \nThe company\, based in Reggio Emilia\, has a rich and varied repertoire\, thanks to the works of Michele Merola and creations by European and Italian choreographers such as Maguy Marin\, Mats Ek\, Mauro Bigonzetti\, Thomas Noone\, Gustavo Ramirez Sansano\, Karl Alfred Schreiner\, Eugenio Scigliano\, Emanuele Soavi\, Enrico Morelli\, Daniele Ninarello\, Ginevra Panzetti\, Enrico Ticconi\, Camilla Monga\, and Roberto Tedesco. \nIn 2010\, the MM Contemporary Dance Company won the prestigious Danza&Danza Award as the Best Emerging Company\, and today\, it is\, in all respects\, an excellence in Italian dance\, with a well-established activity of performances throughout the national territory. In recent years\, it has conquered an international market with performances in European and non-European countries (South Korea\, Colombia\, Canada\, Germany\, Russia\, Morocco\, Belgium\, Spain\, Slovenia\, Hungary\, Czech Republic\, Sweden\, France\, Finland\, Serbia…). SUMMARY:VISIONI DEL CORPO: IL CORPO E L'ALTRO
DESCRIPTION:Visioni del corpo: understanding contemporary art through auteur dance. \nA “dancing encyclopedia” that speaks about the world through dance\, placing the body at the center of humanity. A series of six cultural dissemination events that connects arts\, movement\, and current affairs\, to address themes of psychological well-being\, the relationship with the city\, the future\, and ecology\, through an experimental cultural medium. \nNicolas Ballario\, journalist\, curator\, and cultural disseminator\, introduces the theme of the debate\, which\, moving between dance and contemporary arts\, reflects on the body from a different point of view each time. Each meeting is divided into six moments\, dedicated to the works of six artists chosen to explore the main theme: renowned faces of contemporary art\, well known to the general public. Each meeting will be interpreted by a choreographer from the contemporary scene\, who will translate the suggestions of the discussed works into dance with an original performance\, specifically designed for the project. \n\n\n \n \nFifth appointment: Friday 15 November h 20.30 at Fonderia\n\n \nIl corpo e l’altro (The body and the other)\nTalk with Nicolas Ballario and Pablo Girolami\nChoreographies by Pablo Girolami\nFocus on Marcel Duchamp\, Georgia O’Keeffe\, Yayoi Kusama\, Louise Bourgeois\, Sylvie Fleury\, Francesca Woodman \n\n\n\nPablo Girolami is a young choreographer who blends the imaginations and traditions of his various countries of origin and study (Switzerland\, Spain\, Italy). SUMMARY:Aria Tango...Bolero
DESCRIPTION:The Balletto di Milano\, directed by M° Carlo Pesta\, dances for the first time on the Fonderia stage. \nThe evening is divided into two acts: Aria Tango by Micha van Hoecke\, restaged by Miki Matsuse\, and Bolero by Adriana Mortelliti. \n\nCredits \nARIA TANGO \nChoreography by Micha van Hoecke\, restaged by Miki Matsuse\nMusic by Luis Bacalov \nBOLERO \nChoreography by Adriana Mortelliti\nMusic by Maurice Ravel \nDancers of Balletto di Milano: Alessandro Orlando\, principal and maître of the Company\, and Sofia Gironi\, Amanda Hall\, Annarita Maestri\, Sinthya Pezzoli\, Alessia Sasso\, Anthea Van Der Ham\, Giusy Villarà\, Kevin Alsina\, Anatole Blaineau\, Gianmarco Damiani\, Jack Farren\, Mattia Imperatore\, Leo Rech \nDiscover more \nThe unforgettable and irreplaceable artist Micha van Hoecke would have turned 80 on July 22\, 2024\, but he passed away in 2021\, leaving the dance world stunned and dismayed. A monumental figure in Italian dance\, where he had resided for over thirty years\, Micha van Hoecke is undoubtedly one of the most influential figures who left an indelible mark. He is missed by many friends\, by those who admired his extraordinary human and artistic qualities\, and by the audience who passionately and eagerly followed his sensitive works. A generous artist who deeply loved theater and dance\, the Balletto di Milano dedicates its tribute to him on this special birthday by restaging his creation Aria Tango. Restaged by his beloved wife\, dancer Miki Matsuse\, Aria Tango (2013) is set to pieces by Oscar-winning composer Luis Bacalov. Strongly autobiographical\, the Choreographic Poem\, as Micha van Hoecke liked to call it\, is rooted in the tango and gypsy cultures so dear to the choreographer. Without any didactic intent and in a timeless and surreal atmosphere\, it conveys emotions\, fears\, passions\, and states of mind. \n \nIn the second part of the evening\, the emotions of the Tango give way to those of the Bolero in an exclusive version by Balletto di Milano\, choreographed by Adriana Mortelliti to the renowned score by Maurice Ravel\, celebrating seduction. In the musical and choreographic crescendo\, sinuous bodies weave a dance that culminates in a surprising finale. \nBalletto di Milano \nAn ambassador of Italian dance worldwide\, founded in 1980 and directed by Carlo Pesta since 1998\, the Balletto di Milano is among the most prestigious Italian companies. SUMMARY:Aria Tango...Bolero - Open rehearsal
DESCRIPTION:The Balletto di Milano\, directed by M° Carlo Pesta\, will perform for the first time on the Fonderia stage. \nFor this occasion\, an open rehearsal has been organized at 6:00 PM to get to know the company and the work of M° Carlo Pesta\, who will have a conversation with dance journalist and critic Raffaella Tramontano. \nAt 8:30 PM\, the evening will take place in two acts: Aria Tango by Micha van Hoecke\, restaged by Miki Matsuse\, and Bolero by Adriana Mortelliti. \n\nCredits \nARIA TANGO \nChoreography Micha van Hoecke\, restaged by Miki Matsuse\nMusic Luis Bacalov \nBOLERO \nChoreography Adriana Mortelliti\nMusic Maurice Ravel \nDancers of the Balletto di Milano: Alessandro Orlando\, principal and maître of the Company\, and Sofia Gironi\, Amanda Hall\, Annarita Maestri\, Sinthya Pezzoli\, Alessia Sasso\, Anthea Van Der Ham\, Giusy Villarà\, Kevin Alsina\, Anatole Blaineau\, Gianmarco Damiani\, Jack Farren\, Mattia Imperatore\, Leo Rech \nRead more \nUnforgettable and unforgettable artist\, Micha van Hoecke would have turned 80 on July 22\, 2024\, but he passed away in 2021\, leaving the dance world stunned and in shock. A towering personality in Italian dance\, where he had been living for over thirty years\, Micha van Hoecke is undoubtedly one of the figures who has left a mark. He is missed. Missed by the many friends. Missed by those who could appreciate his extraordinary human and artistic qualities. Missed by the audience who followed his works\, rich in sensitivity\, with passion and interest.\nA generous artist\, who loved theater and dance deeply\, to whom the Balletto di Milano dedicates this tribute on this special birthday by bringing back to the stage the creation Aria Tango. Restaged by his beloved wife\, the dancer Miki Matsuse\, Aria Tango (2013) is set to music by Oscar-winning composer Luis Bacalov. Strongly autobiographical\, the Choreographic Poem\, as Micha van Hoecke used to say\, is deeply rooted in the tango and gypsy culture so dear to the choreographer\, who\, without any didactic intent and in an atemporal\, surreal atmosphere\, tells of moods\, fears\, passions\, and emotions. \n \nIn the second part of the evening\, the emotions of Tango give way to those of Bolero\, in the exclusive version by Balletto di Milano of Adriana Mortelliti on the famous score by Maurice Ravel\, celebrating seduction. In the musical and choreographic crescendo\, sinuous bodies intertwine in a dance that culminates in a surprising finale. \nBalletto di Milano \nAmbassador of Italian dance around the world\, founded in 1980 and directed by Carlo Pesta since 1998\, it is one of the most prestigious Italian companies. Recognized and supported by the Ministry of Culture\, by the Lombardy Region\, which has also awarded it the prestigious Regional Relevance Recognition\, and by the Municipality of Milan\, the Balletto di Milano performs its activities in major Italian theaters and abroad\, where it is present in leading theaters and institutions. The Balletto di Milano is in residence at the Teatro Lirico Giorgio Gaber and boasts a roster of dancers who graduated from the best international academies and an extensive and exclusive repertoire ranging from revisited classical masterpieces to exclusive productions. \nDiscover more \n  \nInfo&Tickets \nTICKETS \nFull price: 3 euros \nFree for under 6 \nTICKET PURCHASE \n\nONLINE: https://www.biglietteriafonderia39.it/home.aspx\nFonderia Box Office: The box office opens one hour before the show (via della Costituzione 39\, Reggio Emilia).\n\nTickets are not numbered. \nCONTACT FOR BOOKINGS \nCell and WhatsApp 3341023554 \nEmail biglietteria@aterballetto.it

SUMMARY:OPEN REHEARSAL - 14.610
DESCRIPTION:PERFORMANCE POSTPONED TO NEXT SEASON\nThe title of the performance is 14.610\, a number that hints at something never explicitly mentioned. But it is a key\, like the code to a hotel room\, that allows easy entry into the show. It is a small and sophisticated puzzle to solve. The latest work by Claudia Catarzi has something intimate and shameless. \nOpen rehearsal Monday\, November 4 – 6:00 PM \nShow Tuesday\, November 5 – 8:30 PM \n\nCredits \nby and with Claudia Catarzi\nmusic by Julien Desprez\nscenography by Fabio Giommarelli \nco-produced by Company Blu\, La Manufacture – Centre de Développement Chorégraphique National Bordeaux Nouvelle-Aquitaine\, Armunia/Festival Inequilibrio/Centro di residenze artistiche Castiglioncello\, with the support of the Regione Toscana and the MiC \ncreated in 2023 \nDiscover more \nIt’s hard to describe the feeling of dancing almost three meters high on a surface so narrow it seems more like a pedestal than a platform. From the ground\, that is\, from the stage of the Teatro Rosignano Solvay\, where the show debuted for the Inequilibrio festival\, the latest work by Claudia Catarzi has something intimate and shameless. Shameless because the spectator\, compelled to keep their eyes upwards\, admires the technical skill\, explicit and evident\, of a figure that doesn’t perform acrobatics\, but nonetheless constructs a tense and sculptural choreography\, made of plastic poses\, clear and defined gestures\, even jumps. Although the tone is far from baroque – a certain austerity prevails\, though never frigid – there is something triumphant in this construction that resembles the base for a Renaissance equestrian statue. Indeed\, in the dramatic arc of the show\, the satisfaction of reaching the top is palpable. As if we were in the mountains. Looking down from above is satisfying\, but it also gives you chills. Not only because it’s easy to fall\, but perhaps because at some point from this peak\, the only thing left to do is descend. \n \nAnd this is the other intimate dimension that runs through the entire show and speaks to us of fragility and strength\, of change and resistance. The title of the show is 14.610\, a number that hints at something never explicitly mentioned. But it is a key\, like the code to a hotel room\, that allows easy entry into the show. It’s a small and sophisticated puzzle to solve. Not too difficult\, to be honest\, but we want to leave it unresolved\, so as not to spoil the pleasure of discovery. In the second part of the work\, the pedestal reveals itself as a steep slide\, and the descent becomes a sort of struggle; the muscular body strains to defeat the weight of gravity\, as in the whirls of some Giambologna statue. Even though the aesthetics are tied to a sober normality\, which makes the image even more intimate and common. About ten years ago\, Catarzi debuted in her solo 40\,000 Square Centimeters\, again a number for a title\, striking for presence and power in the small space drawn on the stage of only four square meters. Ten years later\, this space has shrunk but has risen into the air. Not a diving board to jump from\, but a mountain – like life – to embrace and climb. \n(Rodolfo Sacchettini – July 18\, 2023) \nCLAUDIA CATARZI \nAfter training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence\, she began her career working with the Micha Van Hoecke Ensemble. She later danced with companies such as Dorky Park Constanza Macras (Berlin)\, Compagnia Virgilio Sieni\, Aldes/Roberto Castello\, Company Blu/Alessandro Certini and Charlotte Zerbey\, En-Knap Group/Iztok Kovač (Ljubljana)\, László Hudi (J. Nadj – Budapest)\, among others. In 2009\, she was part of Choreoroam\, a research project by the Israeli choreographer Yasmeen Godder (Tel Aviv). She was later invited to follow the work of the Batsheva Dance Company by Ohad Naharin. She has collaborated with choreographer Ambra Senatore since the beginning of her company’s research work between Italy and France\, participating in all her early works. Since 2011\, she has been working on personal creations. The solo Arrivò senza colore won the co-production Sosta Palmizi\, and Un giorno\, a duo in collaboration with Mariano Nieddù\, was a finalist at the “Premio Equilibrio 2010” (directed by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui). Her two latest creations see her sharing the stage for the first time with two female figures: Michal Mualem\, a historical dancer in Sasha Waltz’s company\, in A set of timings\, and Claudia Caldarano\, a former dancer of Virgilio Sieni\, in Posare il tempo. The live presence of musician Gianni Maestrucci in Posare il tempo – percussionist of the renowned group Tetraktis – transforms the danced duet into a trio. Claudia Catarzi is currently an associate artist at CDCN of Bordeaux\, La Manufacture | Bordeaux-Nouvelle Aquitaine. \nLearn more \n

SUMMARY:Les Fleurs
DESCRIPTION:Let’s make these our flowers into a single bouquet\, something similar to a collection. The poems are communicating vessels\, like the characters in their monstrous solitudes\, they look at each other in a single magnificent cathedral that is existence. \nLes Fleurs by Balletto Civile is a show that\, taking up the well-known title of Charles Baudelaire’s work\, focuses on poetic language and its revolutionary impact on the contemporary body that becomes a political body\, in a vision of freedom and dialogue with civil society. \nOpen rehearsal at 6:00 PM \nShow at 8:30 PM \n\nCredits \nDirection and choreography: Michela Lucenti\non stage Maurizio Camilli\, Michela Lucenti\, Alessandro Pallecchi Arena\, Gianluca Pezzino\, Emanuela Serra\, Francesca Zaccaria\nDramaturgy: Maurizio Camilli\, Michela Lucenti\, Emanuela Serra\nSound design: Guido Affini\nLighting design: Stefano Mazzanti\nSpace consultancy: Alberto Favretto\nAssistant director: Giulia Spattini\nStage assistance: Jacopo Squizzato \nProduction: Emilia Romagna Teatro ERT / Teatro Nazionale\, Balletto Civile \nDiscover more \nCharles Baudelaire’s work in Les Fleurs du mal is a single\, great “perforated” story. A narrative of situations created through images\, with fractures\, holes\, and zones where each of us can find ourselves\, discovering common traits and shared vulnerabilities. The collection of poems speaks of the beauty of the imperfect bodies of characters on the fringes of society\, outcasts\, borderline individuals\, who become magnificent creatures through a new gaze. This aligns closely with the philosophy of Balletto Civile\, which has always crafted its works by lending bodies to a lyrical narration of protagonists who are anti-heroes. \nThe show\, endowed with a strong narrative rhythm determined by the poet’s texts and original writings\, stages a struggle between dance and the poetic act as a possible rewriting of the world. \n \nSix figures on stage represent the central themes: the poet\, beauty\, time\, boredom\, exile\, revolt\, the wound\, the city\, and finally\, poetry itself. \nThe scenic space\, bare and material\, welcomes the characters as in a single luminous and sonic installation\, where the bodies\, through geometries of existences on the margins\, produce strong\, overwhelming images that\, like cuts in a canvas\, seek to leave a graphic mark on the viewer’s retina. This is achieved through a language that is initially solitary and then shared\, confusing personal feelings with the community’s shared wounds. \nThe artist is able to see all that is wonderful but cannot avoid feeling the world’s terrors on their skin; we cannot hide from this risk. SUMMARY:Open Rehearsal - Les Fleurs
Baudelaire is the first contemporary poet who recorded on his skin not only the heights but also the sacrifice and pettiness to which the artist is subjected\, and he made this reflection a work of art. \nBalletto Civile \nA nomadic group by definition\, driven by a strong ethical tension\, Balletto Civile was founded in 2003 by Michela Lucenti. The creative approach is a research based on movement that emerges from the deep scenic relationship between the artists. It works on a total language where theater\, dance\, and original singing interact naturally. \nFind out more \n

SUMMARY:OPEN REHEARSAL - WAITING FOR NOTTE MORRICONE

Although it is almost impossible to separate his music from the images that accompany it\, Morricone transcends and intertwines with life itself\, with memories\, and with the beauty and cruelty of a world that continues to move forward\, destroying and rebuilding itself every day.\nHis music has a powerful melancholic quality that stems from both the contemplation of the past and the impossibility of capturing any past experience. \nWith classical training and avant-garde vocation\, Morricone was always beyond the trends of the moment. Today\, three years after his death\, Morricone continues to inspire artists and visionaries in various fields\, and his music belongs to an entire century and has revived many of our great masters.\nHis music was a genre unto itself\, and for this evening I would like to build a universe based on his sensitivity to confirm that his legacy is more alive than ever and that\, as he himself would say\, “my music has a life of its own\, which can live far from the films for which it was created.”» \n(Marcos Morau\, February 2023) \nMARCOS MORAU \nRecently appointed Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French Ministry of Culture and selected as the best choreographer of the year 2023 by the German magazine TANZ\, the career of Marcos Morau (Valencia 1982) continues to grow as a creator and stage director. \nTrained between Barcelona and New York\, in photography\, choreography\, and theater theory and dramaturgy\, Marcos Morau builds imaginary worlds and landscapes where image\, text\, movement\, music\, and space constitute a unique universe constantly nourished by cinema\, photography\, and literature. \nSince 2004\, Marcos has directed La Veronal\, a company present in the best theaters and festivals in over thirty countries: Théâtre National de Chaillot in Paris\, the Venice Biennale\, the Festival d’Avignon\, Tanz Im August in Berlin\, the RomaEuropa Festival\, the SIDance Festival of Seoul\, Sadler’s Wells in London\, Danse Danse Montreal\, among many others. \nIn addition to his work with La Veronal\, Marcos Morau is an international guest artist in several companies and theaters where he develops new creations\, always halfway between the performing arts and dance: Nederlands Dans Theater\, Lyon Opera Ballet\, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens\, Royal Danish Ballet\, or The Royal Ballet of Flanders\, among others. \nAs the youngest creator to receive the National Dance Award\, the highest recognition in Spain\, the future of Morau and La Veronal aims at exploring new formats and languages where opera\, dance\, and physical theater dialogue more than ever\, seeking new ways of expressing and communicating in our present time\, always turbulent and constantly evolving. \nFrom this season\, he is an associate artist at the Staatsballett Berlin. \n“La Veronal is a reminder that dance is often at the forefront of the most innovative theater.” – The New York Times \n“Morau’s visual treatment is so brilliant\, so vividly strange\, that we get involved in what also turns out to be a story of transmission and emancipation.” – Le Monde \n“Morau\, one of the most interesting young choreographers on the contemporary dance scene.” – El País

SUMMARY:VISIONI DEL CORPO: IL CORPO MUOVE
DESCRIPTION:Visioni del corpo: understanding contemporary art through auteur dance. \nA “dancing encyclopedia” that speaks about the world through dance\, placing the body at the center of humanity. A series of six cultural dissemination events that began in May 2024\, resuming after the summer break with the new season at Fonderia. Connecting arts\, movement\, and current affairs\, the meetings address themes of psychological well-being\, the relationship with the city\, the future\, and ecology\, through an experimental cultural medium. \n\n\n \n \nFourth appointment: Friday 18 October h 20.30 at Fonderia\n\n \nIl corpo muove (The body moves)\nTalk withNicolas Ballario and Riccardo Buscarini\nChoreographies by Riccardo Buscarini\nFocus on Jackson Pollock\, Nan Goldin\, Michelangelo Pistoletto\, Cindy Sherman\, Studio Azzurro\, Yōko Ono \n\n\n\nNicolas Ballario will present works related to “moving” art\, that is\, art that makes the artists move during creation or the audience when experiencing it (from Jackson Pollock to Nan Goldin\, from Michelangelo Pistoletto to Yoko Ono). The evening will feature Riccardo Buscarini bringing some excerpts from Form O\, a very recent work that is based on visual symmetries and asymmetries\, and the effect that what we see creates in our body. \nAddressing the theme of the body moved by passions\, in a whirlwind of seductions and intrigues\, Johan Inger’s Don Juan in VR will be presented\, where the audience will fall into a dynamic flow that is difficult to resist. \n‘War Is Over! SUMMARY:OPEN REHEARSAL - DECISIONE CONSAPEVOLE
DESCRIPTION:  \nA conceptual map designed to guide improvisation sessions.\nThis is what Decisione Consapevole has been so far.\nBut what if we used the map as a true structure to follow in creating a choreographic work featuring four dancers navigating their own decisions? An empty space to be filled and emptied through the awareness of each performer. Taste plays a fundamental role in ensuring everything comes together cohesively\, dressing different personalities in a single garment.\nThe garment adorns the performers with specific qualities and attitudes\, meticulously studied rhythms\, and methods. The garment sets boundaries that encompass endless freedoms. The garment is what prompts decision-making. So\, could the garment be consciousness itself?\nIsolation\, intimacy\, communication\, community are the four key words. While these narrow the scope and make the performer’s decisions less varied and more mindful\, the possibilities suggested by each word remain infinite.\nThe dancers’ fully conscious decisions about which key word to choose to inspire their action in the space will build the scene. These decisions can exist individually\, but more importantly\, they can coexist with all the others. \n  \nCREDITS \nChoreography: Roberto Tedesco\nPerformers: Mattias Amadori\, Eleonora Dominici\, Laila Luchetta Lovino\, Francesco Misceo\nMusic: Eskmo\, Brendan Angelides / Rival Consoles / The Gentleman Losers / Pan-American /\nJ.S. SUMMARY:VISIONI DEL CORPO: IL CORPO PICCOLO
\n\n\n \n \nThird appointment: Friday 27 September h 20.30 at Fonderia\n\n \nIl corpo piccolo (The little body)\nA dialogue with Nicolas Ballario and Lara Guidetti\nChoreographies by Lara Guidetti\nFocus on Alberto Burri\, Maurizio Cattelan\, Diane Arbus\, Jake e Dinos Chapman\, Keith Haring\, Nathalie Djurberg \n\n\n\nAfter Il corpo in pericolo and Il corpo nudo\, the third event will explore Il corpo piccolo with Lara Guidetti. The public space has undergone a transformation between its physical and virtual dimensions\, leading to new identities\, functions\, and connotations\, rapidly rewriting the network of encounters and relationships that inhabit it\, cutting across professional and personal\, intimate\, and collective domains. In the era of images and digital technology\, the real dimension of the body\, understood in its original proportion in space\, is continually modified: contracted within phone screens\, expanded in architectural and advertising projections\, multiplied\, stretched\, portioned\, and filtered in search of perfect adherence to what one desires the body to communicate. Lara Guidetti will play with these dilations and contractions. \nBefore and after the meeting\, the audience will have the opportunity to experience virtual reality with Kepler by Diego Tortelli: three micro-dancers moving under a display case\, inhabitants of a small world that the viewer approaches with a magnifying glass. \nPerformance art: Banana duct taped to fridge as a reminder to eat less meat\, inspired by Maurizio Cattelan. From Wikimedia Commons \nLara Guidetti \nOriginally from Emilia-Romagna\, Lara Guidetti graduated as a dancer and choreographer in 2006 from the Atelier of Theater-Dance at the Paolo Grassi School in Milan\, studying with renowned national and international masters. She continued her training in the world of dance and performing arts\, exploring various pedagogical methods and training through workshops and productions. In 2008\, she founded the Sanpapié company\, where she serves as artistic director\, choreographer\, director\, and performer\, presenting works across Italy\, Europe\, China\, and Saudi Arabia. In 2017\, her show LEI won the Premio Bonacina. She collaborates with the JGM company in Lisbon\, works with La Scala in Milan as a dancer and acrobat\, and creates choreographies for opera productions. She has taught at the Paolo Grassi and Dancehaus schools in Milan and at the Teatro Stabile school in Turin. Since 2022\, she has been an associated artist of the MilanOltre festival and a collaborator of the Fondazione Nazionale della Danza as a choreographer and curator of site-specific projects. \n \nNicolas Ballario \nNicolas Ballario\, born in 1984\, is involved in contemporary art applied to media. He began his professional career at Oliviero Toscani‘s factory La Sterpaia\, where he later became the cultural manager. He has collaborated with major artistic institutions and numerous publications. \nIn 2016\, he became the youngest ever recipient of the Premio Bassani\, one of the most prestigious awards for journalists distinguished in cultural and environmental fields. Currently\, he hosts and produces contemporary art programs on Rai Radio Uno and contributes to magazines such as Rolling Stone\, Living from Corriere della Sera\, and Il Giornale dell’Arte. In 2019\, he hosted the photography format Camera Oscura on LA7\, while from 2020 to 2022\, he led programs on Sky Arte including Io ti vedo\, tu mi senti?\, The Square\, and Italia Contemporanea.\nHe is the CEO of the newly established exhibition production company Piuma and oversees exhibitions and catalogs. Artribune magazine recognized him in their Best of for two consecutive years: in 2019 for radio and in 2020 for television projects. \nInfo&Tickets \nTICKETS\nSingle: 3 euros \nTICKET PURCHASE\nTickets can be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it.\nThe box office at Fonderia is open from 7:30 PM.\nTickets are not numbered. \nCONTACTS\nPhone and WhatsApp: 3341023554\nEmail: biglietteria@aterballetto.it \nFONDERIA ATERBALLETTO\nVia della Costituzione 39\, Reggio Emilia \nWINE TASTING AT FONDERIA\nFrom 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM\, you can enjoy a refined wine tasting of selected wines\, thanks to the valuable collaboration with Venturini Baldini. \n \n\n  \n

The work explores the meaning of the near and the far\, inspired by electromagnetic waves. It is about reaching out to a distant person and bringing them onto our path to share a common journey. This approach creates a union of intentions and a journey towards cohesion that\, even in diversity\, leads to a vision of the common good. The choreography is accompanied by a musical score by Pierre Jodlowski with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France\, which incorporates a series of messages and announcements from radio broadcasts into a contemporary music composition. This sonic backdrop takes us into the world of radio\, which even today\, as in the previous century\, serves as a medium for spreading news and\, above all\, for conveying cultures and messages of great importance. \n\nMICHELE MEROLA is the artistic director and main choreographer of the MM Contemporary Dance Company\, a contemporary dance company founded in 1999 in Reggio Emilia\, which won the prestigious Danza & Danza Award in 2010 as the best emerging company. With this company\, Merola has brought many of his choreographies to the stage\, both in Italy and abroad\, including La metà dell’ombra\, which won the Anita Bucchi Award in 2010\, and Bolero\, which won the Europaindanza 2017 Award for Choreographic Merit. Since 2000\, he has created numerous works for other companies\, including Aterballetto\, Teatro San Carlo in Naples\, Dominic Walsh Dance Theatre\, Teatro Massimo in Palermo\, Junior Balletto di Toscana\, National Theatre of Belgrade\, and Tanzcompagnie Landesbühnen Sachsen in Dresden. In 2003\, he won the International Choreography Competition in Hannover\, in 2008 he received the Positano Leonide Massine Award for the Art of Dance\, and in 2016 he won the GD Awards 2016 (www.giornaledelladanza.com) as the Best Italian Choreographer. In 2017\, he won the L’Abella Danza Award (in memory of Ricardo Nunez) at the Roman Amphitheater of Avella (AV). In 2018\, he received the “Incontro con la danza” award instituted by Basilicata ArteDanza. Since 2010\, Merola has been\, along with Enrico Morelli\, the artistic director of Agora Coaching Project\, a professional training program for dancers based in Reggio Emilia. \n\nENRICO MORELLI\, a dancer and choreographer\, began his dance studies in Barletta. In 1999\, he graduated from the National Academy of Dance\, where he later attended the advanced course for teachers. His creative talent led him to participate in major choreography competitions\, winning first place at the Michele Abbate Competition in Caltanissetta\, the Città di Perugia Competition\, the Rieti International Dance Festival\, and the Danza Estate in Florence. From 1997 to 2003\, he worked as a dancer with the N. Piccinni Concert Foundation\, Milena Zullo’s Arte Balletto company\, the Piccinni Ballet\, and Micha Van Hoeke. In 2001\, he received the silver medal from the President of the Republic as a dancer. Since 2004\, he has been part of the MM Contemporary Dance Company as a dancer and choreographer. Since 2003\, he has created choreographies for Astra Roma Ballet\, the school of Teatro dell’Opera di Roma\, Dominic Walsh Dance Theatre\, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino\, KAOS company in Florence\, Palermo InDanza\, the Hungarian Szegedi Kortàrs Ballet\, Milwaukee Ballet (USA)\, MM Contemporary Dance Company\, and Agora Coaching Project. In 2018\, Morelli won the “Incontro con la danza” award instituted by Basilicata ArteDanza. SUMMARY:OPEN REHEARSAL - NOTTE MORRICONE
DESCRIPTION:«”I\, Ennio Morricone\, am dead\,” wrote the composer before saying goodbye. His music\, on the other hand\, cannot do so. And this is how creators and artists always leave us without really leaving\, and this is how memory takes care to keep them alive\, to keep them safe. Notte Morricone is my gift\, a devoted tribute to the beauty he gave to the world. Ennio Morricone could be my father or my grandfather; I am a direct heir to his legacy\, to the films that (whether masterpieces\, good\, mediocre\, or bad) owe him an immeasurable debt.» – Marcos Morau \nNotte Morricone\, the new creation by CCN / Aterballetto created by the award-winning choreographer Marcos Morau\, debuts on August 1\, 2024\, at the Arena Sferisterio during the Macerata Opera Festival. The show features the entire ensemble of the Compagnia Aterballetto and\, thanks to a coalition of national co-producers\, celebrates the indelible artistic legacy of Oscar-winning Ennio Morricone. \nOn Monday\, June 10\, at 6:00 PM\, the Fonderia audience will have the opportunity to witness the preparation of Notte Morricone. \nOpen rehearsals are unique moments where one can witness the creation of a show\, interact with the artists\, and be amazed by the art of dance: a special occasion that allows the audience into the daily routines of the dancers and choreographers. \n  \nCREDITS \nDirector and Choreography MARCOS MORAU\nMusic ENNIO MORRICONE\nMusical Direction and Adaptation by MAURIZIO BILLI\nSet and Lighting MARC SALICRÚ\nCostumes SILVIA DELAGNEAU \nProduction Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto \nCommission\, Co-production\, Outdoor Premiere Macerata Opera Festival\nCo-production\, Indoor Premiere Fondazione Teatro di Roma\nCo-productions Fondazione I Teatri di Reggio Emilia\, Centro Servizi Culturali Santa Chiara Trento\, Centro Teatrale Bresciano\nCo-production Ravenna Festival | Orchestra Giovanile Luigi Cherubini \nOutdoor Premiere August 1\, 2024\, Macerata Opera Festival \nIndoor Premiere October 24 – November 10\, 2024\, Rome\, Teatro Argentina \nThe performances at Teatro Argentina are co-presented with Fondazione Teatro di Roma and Romaeuropa Festival \nEARLY SUGGESTIONS \n«I am often asked what music I listen to\, what music inspires me or accompanies me in my daily life\, and I always respond the same way: from classical music to contemporary waves\, I draw inspiration from many diverse sources\, and Ennio Morricone is always at the top of the list. \nMorricone’s music embodies that abstract sense of what is not said and not seen in films. Although it is almost impossible to separate his music from the images it accompanies\, Morricone transcends and intertwines with life itself\, with memories\, and with the beauty and cruelty of a world that continues to move forward\, destroying and building itself every day.\nHis music has a powerful melancholic quality that stems both from the contemplation of the past and from the impossibility of capturing any past experience. \nClassically trained with an avant-garde vocation\, Morricone was always beyond the trends of the moment. Today\, three years after his death\, Morricone continues to inspire artists and visionaries in various fields\, and his music belongs to an entire century\, having revived many of our great masters.\nHis music was a genre in itself\, and for this evening\, I want to build a universe based on his sensibility to confirm that his legacy is more alive than ever and that\, as he himself would say\, “my music has a life of its own\, that can live far from the films for which it was created”.» \n(Marcos Morau\, February 2023) \nMARCOS MORAU \nRecently appointed Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French Ministry of Culture and selected as the best choreographer of 2023 by the German magazine TANZ\, the career of Marcos Morau (born in Valencia in 1982) continues to flourish as a creator and stage director. \nTrained between Barcelona and New York in photography\, choreography\, theater theory\, and dramaturgy\, Marcos Morau constructs imaginary worlds and landscapes where image\, text\, movement\, music\, and space form a unique universe constantly nourished by cinema\, photography\, and literature. \nSince 2004\, Marcos has directed La Veronal\, a company present in top theaters and festivals across more than thirty countries: Théâtre National de Chaillot in Paris\, the Venice Biennale\, the Avignon Festival\, Tanz Im August in Berlin\, the RomaEuropa Festival\, the SIDance Festival de Seoul\, Sadler’s Wells in London\, Danse Danse Montreal\, among many others. \nIn addition to his work with La Veronal\, Marcos Morau is an international guest artist in various companies and theaters where he develops new creations\, always at the intersection of performing arts and dance: Nederlands Dans Theater\, Lyon Opera Ballet\, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens\, Royal Danish Ballet\, and The Royal Ballet of Flanders\, among others. \nAs the youngest creator to receive the National Dance Award\, the highest recognition in Spain\, the future of Morau and La Veronal aims to explore new formats and languages where opera\, dance\, and physical theater interact more than ever\, seeking new ways to express and communicate in our turbulent and ever-evolving times. \nStarting from this season\, he is an associated artist at the Staatsballett Berlin. \n“La Veronal is a reminder that dance is often at the forefront of the most innovative theater.” – The New York Times \n“Morau’s visual treatment is so brilliant\, so vividly strange\, that we become involved in what turns out to be a story of transmission and emancipation.” – Le Monde \n“Morau\, one of the most interesting young choreographers on the contemporary dance scene.” – El País

DESCRIPTION:  \n\n  \n\n  \nDouble Performance: \nTuesday\, June 4 – 9:00 PM\nWednesday\, June 5 – 9:00 PM \nThe protagonists of the evening are the dancers of the Agora Coaching Project\, an advanced training project promoted and supported by the MM Contemporary Dance Company and the A.S.D Progetto Danza of Reggio Emilia\, under the artistic direction of Michele Merola and Enrico Morelli. Started in 2010\, the course is gaining full recognition in the European dance world and boasts collaborations with internationally renowned teachers and choreographers. \nSCHUBERT FRAMES by Enrico Morelli \nTo the extraordinary music of Franz Schubert\, Enrico Morelli has entrusted his work: no one better than the Viennese composer has been able to interpret the conflicting feelings of love\, tension\, melancholy\, regret\, but also hope. A collage of famous pieces by Schubert\, extracted from true masterpieces – composed two centuries ago\, still amaze today for their great relevance – serve as the soundtrack to this work dedicated to the many souls of contemporary man\, where love gives way to disenchantment\, detachment to sharing\, passion to fear\, and vice versa\, in a back-and-forth between crescendos and diminuendos\, revealing entire universes and secret connections. The choreography aims to be a tale of solitudes and kindred spirits\, in an era like ours\, weary\, murky\, disenchanted\, tormented by a malaise that is in the air\, but also anxiously searching for meaning and a hope of happiness\, some tenderness. A tale of comings and goings that focuses mainly on the moment of return\, because happiness is a home to return to\, perhaps changed\, heedless of the accelerated pace of a present that risks making us struggle and a future we fear to explore. The problem is not to arrive\, but to return. To learn to love again each time. To have the courage to recognize ourselves as fragile\, and therefore generous in tenderness. \n  \nMETEOROLOGY RECHARGED by Michele Di Stefano \nSeven pieces on the coexistence and proximity between bodies\, on what makes dance a formidable tool for knowing the other and others; the work is primarily a path of appropriation of the external space to give body and rhythm to a very simple idea: that dance has the ability to create a welcoming place where someone else’s dance can exist. For this reason\, the dancers’ attention is always directed outward\, to what is near\, around the body. With an exotic touch that doesn’t hurt. We would like this space\, which each body projects outward\, to be perceived as a “possible” space of coexistence\, proximity\, and invention\, based purely on facts. \n  \nPERFORMERS \nJune 4\nErica Barusco\, Jasmine Begici\, Giovanni Karol Borriello\, Elisa D’Acciavo\, Laura Dell’Agnese\, Sara Ferrentino\, Giulia Lusetti\, Lucrezia Maggiore\, Gioele Marcante\, Maya Maselli\, Carlotta Maucioni\, Federico Musumeci\, Giada Piccinini\, Giorgia Raffetto\, Susanna Russing\, Viviana Maria Sanfilippo\, Gennaro Todisco\, Diletta Torelli \nJune 5\nCorrado Azzolini\, Giulia Boccarossa\, Elisa Bocconi\, Salvatore Bruno\, Lucrezia Capuzzelli\, Anna Dal Maso\, Vittoria Facci\, Nicole Forni\, Aurora Lattanzi\, Luna Lefebvre\, Gioele Marcante\, Laura Miotti\, Martina Pagliari\, Filippo Penco\, Martina Procacci\, Alessia Russo\, Diletta Suman\, Gaia Zorrilla \nAGORA COACHING PROJECT \nAgora Coaching Project is an annual advanced dance training project aimed at dancers aged 18 to 22\, based in Reggio Emilia. SUMMARY:VISIONI DEL CORPO: THE BODY IN DANGER
DESCRIPTION:Visioni del corpo is a series of events that from May 27th to November 29th\, 2024 will feature a blend of contemporary art and dance\, in a journey where the common denominator will be the body. Six encounters on contemporary art led by Nicolas Ballario\, where alongside words there will be dance\, through some performative interventions in connection with the presented works. Each encounter will be divided into six moments where Ballario will introduce six works by six different artists\, well-known figures in the contemporary scene also to non-enthusiast audiences. Each encounter will be entrusted to a choreographer\, who will translate into dance the suggestions evoked by the discussed works. Each encounter will enrich a small “dancing encyclopedia” of contemporary art\, investigating how illustrious artists have dealt with the theme of the body. Before and after the events at Fonderia\, the bar service will be available\, offering an aperitif to stimulate dialogue among different audiences and different forms of art. \n\n\n \n \nFirst Appointment: Monday\, May 27th at 9:00 PM at Fonderia\n\n \nThe Body in Danger\nDialogue between Nicolas Ballario\, Roberto Escobar\, and Roberto Tedesco \nChoreography by Roberto Tedesco \nFocus on Marina Abramovich\, Jean Michel Basquiat\, Joseph Beuys\, Yves Kleins\, Tracey Emin\, Bill Viola \nIn partnership with \n \n\n\n \nThe first appointment is born in collaboration with the festivalfilosofia of Modena\, Carpi\, and Sassuolo\, a historic event that connects a key word in each edition\, which refers to fundamental issues in philosophical discussion and crucial experiences of contemporary condition\, like the upcoming September with psyche. A reflection on the mind will also open the theme interpreted by Roberto Tedesco: on May 27th at Fonderia\, the investigation will delve into The Body in Danger\, a macro-topic starting from the anthropology of risk and could extend to climate emergency\, addressing in general all physical and psychosomatic emergencies that the contemporary body faces. Dialoguing with the choreographer and Nicolas Ballario will be the philosopher Roberto Escobar. \nThe audience will also experience a VR experience with Francesca Lattuada’s MicroDanza\, It’s Dangerous Not to Lean Out\, with Oculus available one hour before and one hour after the encounter. \n\n\nInfo & reservations \nAPERITIVO AT FONDERIA\nFrom 8:00 PM organized by Associazione Prosit \nTICKETS\nSingle: 3 euros \nTICKET PURCHASE\nTickets can be purchased online at www.biglietteriafonderia39.it.\nThe ticket office at Fonderia opens at 7:30 PM.\nTickets are not numbered. \nCONTACTS\nCell and WhatsApp: 3341023554\nEmail: biglietteria@aterballetto.it \nFONDERIA ATERBALLETTO\nvia della Costituzione 39\, Reggio Emilia \n\nRoberto Tedesco\nRoberto Tedesco\, born in 1992\, began studying dance at the age of eleven.\nIn 2009\, he joined the Balletto di Toscana School\, immediately dancing for the Junior Bdt youth company. SUMMARY:MOODBOARD
DESCRIPTION:Exploring the human soul through dance: Moodboard is an evening composed of four choreographies by young authors\, presented by Nutida Festival and Stazione Utopia. Much more than just a series of dance performances\, Moodboard is an exciting and engaging journey that explores the human spirit through the beauty of movement. Each piece carries with it a unique story\, a profound message\, and a personal vision of the world. From the life and fragility of Marilyn Monroe to the complexity of human relationships\, from the duality of life choices to the mysterious phases of the moon: each performance offers an intimate and powerful look into our existence. \nMM is a powerful exploration of the life and fragility of Marilyn Monroe through dance\, accompanied by the choreography of Giovanni Insaudo. Lunatica tells of a dreamlike journey through the phases of the moon\, interpreted by Matilde Di Ciolo and Veronica Galdo. The choreography by Roberto Doveri captures the enigma of the stars and transforms movement into poetry. IN(10)SION is an exploration of human duality and the choices that define our path in life. Through the choreography of Isabella Giustina and the performance of Beatrice Ciattini\, the show invites reflection on one’s own certainties. Closing the evening\, LANDSCAPE: based on the work of Harold Pinter – Paesaggio – explores the complexity of human relationships through two simultaneous monologues. The choreography by Alice Catapano offers a profound look at the modes of interaction within a couple\, misunderstandings\, and communicative short circuits. \nIn continuity with the philosophy of the Nutida Festival in Scandicci\, the audience will be offered an aperitif at Fonderia\, starting from 8:00 PM. \nCREDITS \nArtistic Direction Nutida Festival Cristina Bozzolini and Saverio Cona\nPerformers Mooniba Ensemble \nProduction Nutida Festival/Stazione Utopia\n \nMM\nChoreography Giovanni Insaudo\nDancer Veronica Galdo with the participation of Niccolò Poggini Music by Nick Cave & Warren Ellis \nDuration 12 minutes \n— \nLUNATICA\nChoreography Roberto Doveri\nDancers Matilde Di Ciolo and Veronica Galdo\nMusic by Tale of Us \nCo-production Nutida Festival\, NBDT \nDuration 7 minutes \nWinner of “Produktionspreis Theater Pforzheim” and “Scapino Produktionspreis” for the competition “34 International choreographic competition Hannover 2020” \n— \nIN(10)SIONE\nChoreography Isabella Giustina\nDancer Beatrice Ciattini\nMusic by Raime\, Svarte Greiner\n \nDuration 17 minutes \n— \nLANDSCAPE\nChoreography Alice Catapano\nDancers Alice Catapano\, Matteo Capetola\nMusic by Soaking – The Starwheel – Undercurrent / Watershed \nCo-production Nutida Festival\, NBDT \nDuration 18 minutes \nSTAZIONE UTOPIA \nStazione Utopia is a cooperative – social enterprise for culture\, entertainment\, and social activities. \nFounded in 2010\, it carries out activities on behalf of public and private institutions including theaters\, museums\, foundations\, contemporary art festivals\, and research centers in the music field\, as well as developing national and international projects. SUMMARY:A LOT OF / SEHNSUCHT
DESCRIPTION:  \n\nA LOT OF\nIn constant search. The need for the other. Avidity for contact\, scents\, and flavors. Freed from the inhibitory brake of modesty and social conventions\, what could happen? Are we all animals? How much can we desire those around us? How much and how many can we love? Two bodies\, then one\, and suddenly three. Unexpected events and probabilities. Rhythms and rituals that beat\, intertwine\, and distort. The unnatural grace of Nijinski. The predatory instinct belongs to the human DNA. Marking territory becomes a game\, imagining becomes a necessity. How much space do we have in our body\, in our mind\, and in our soul? How much can we host within ourselves? Hunger. \nDISCOVER MORE \nThe number 3 is a constant in the work: 3 performers on stage\, 3 different authors\, 3 musical compositions\, 3 historical characters\, 3 parts. \nThe first of the three parts is a duet inspired by L’Après-midi d’un Faune\, choreographed by Nijinsky in 1912. In the original work\, the author addresses the theme of uncontrollable sexual impulse\, which gives rise to a huge sense of guilt. In his Diaries\, written seven years after the ballet\, it is evident that the choreographer was inspired by his own life with Dyagilev\, whom he was in love with. From this arises his inner contrast\, due on one hand to the moral censorship of the times and on the other to the strong attraction to the prostitutes he frequented. \nThe second part is a solo built on the constant and repeated search for virility and eroticism already unwittingly inherent in popular memory. A plunge into sacrifice\, a ritual aimed at a higher pleasure. Carnal movements that clash with the most sensual delicacies. A body that observes and scrutinizes. A body that screams and savors. A body that nestles on familiar melodies sinking into ancestral memories. \nThe third part tells an ancient love story by origin\, contemporary by definition. On stage\, two bodies that love each other until a third takes the place of one of the two\, a new couple is formed but briefly\, they become a trio; the triangle composed of the legendary Vaslav Nijinsky\, Countess Romola de Pulszky\, and impresario Sergei Pavlovich Dyagilev takes shape on stage through tenderness\, passion\, voyeurism\, fun\, anger\, and loneliness. Romola’s strength\, Nijinsky’s will\, Dyagilev’s fury intertwine in forms\, trajectories\, patterns\, explosions. Three people who love each other. Is this also love? What moves their souls and their bodies? \nThe music starts from the reworking of two immortal works: L’Après-midi d’un Faune by Debussy and Le Sacre du Printemps by Stravinsky. The themes are re-elaborated and deconstructed with an electro-acoustic approach\, the harmonic material reiterated in an almost cathartic manner in order to underline the erotic and mad nuances of Nijinsky’s tormented poetry. Musical repetition is a fundamental part of the process\, the matrix of a primitive feeling refined into modern man\, a victim of love and its consequences. \n\n  \n\n  \nSEHNSUCHT\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSehnsucht is a key word of the German romantic spirit\, embodying a typical concept of romantic culture\, rendered in Italian as “longing dependence”. Heidegger\, on the other hand\, identifies a different meaning\, as Sucht is to be understood in its original sense as “pain”: “Nostalgia is the pain of the nearness of the distant”.\nSehnsucht means desiring to reach the limit that separates it from the next\, to discover it\, to show it\, to touch it. Bodies alone but dependent\, investigating\, in a common space\, their limits in relation to the body\, space\, time\, and the other. The dancers enter into a system of movement where each element outlines the coordinates of choreographic scores characterized by unusual directions\, accelerations\, suspensions\, falls\, balances\, and interruptions of dynamics. \nDISCOVER MORE \nThe music\, specially composed for the performance by Filippo Ripamonti\, plays a role in defining the space created by the dancers\, also through the use of reverbs and source tracking. The music expands until it breaks these boundaries with an anthropomorphic music\, no longer tied to the distance between molecules but to the distance between people. \nThe creation seeks to go beyond the choreographic container itself\, in an instantaneous composition\, different with each repetition. The dancers enter into a score of spatial and temporal coordinates\, with a vocabulary of movement to draw from each time to write a new relationship\, a new choreography\, in search of contact with the other\, of reconciliation\, of unity. \nThe choreographic flow in which the performers immerse themselves evolves and slowly reveals the internal relationships\, questioning the limit\, which forces them to constant attention to the group\, to change\, to instant reaction. \nIn this system\, bodies seek each other\, find each other\, and explore contact anew\, a new way of living the relationship in which the audience recognizes itself\, living with hope and craving the performative act. \n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nCREDITS \nA LOT OF \nby Nicolò Abbattista and Christian Consalvo\nmusic by Filippo Ripamonti\nwith Giovanni Careccia\, Enrico Luly\, and Gioele Cosentino\ncostumes by Leonardo Rossi\nco-production FLIC – Festival Lanciano in Contemporanea \nDURATION 40′ \n— \nSEHNSUCHT \na performance by Nicolò Abbattista and Christian Consalvo\nmusic by Filippo Ripamonti\nwith Maria Chiara Bono\, Chiara Borghini\, Giovanni Careccia\, Gioele Cosentino\, Arianna Cunsolo\, Francesca Lastella\, Enrico Luly\, and Davide Galuppi\nwith the support of Time To Move\, Teatrino dei Fondi\, Consorzio Coreografi Danza d’Autore Con.Cor.D.A\, Residenze Artistiche Toscane \nDURATION 30′ \nThe Lost Movement company is now supported by Sanpapié\, Dance production organism supported by MiC \nCOMPAGNIA LOST MOVEMENT \nThe Lost Movement Company was founded in 2011 from an idea by Nicolò Abbattista\, in collaboration with Christian Consalvo. SUMMARY:FORM 0
DESCRIPTION: Visible things can be invisible. If someone rides a horse in a forest\, first you see them\, then not\, but you know they are there. In the White Signature\, the horsewoman hides the trees\, and the trees in turn hide her. However\, our thought encompasses both the visible and the invisible. And I use painting to make thought visible.\nR. Magritte \nThe perfect balance of forms can be satisfying… but also unsettling.\nStarting from the fascination with symmetry understood as a compositional tool to convey harmony\, and from the multiple symbolic meanings of the mirror in the arts\, in FORM 0\, his first female duo\, Riccardo Buscarini explores symmetry as a place of disharmony and conflict.\nHow can a dialogue be possible if we see ourselves while looking at the other?\nWhat happens if similarity leads us to merge into each other and lose our identity? \nFrom a distorted mirror emerges a monstrous image. \nNext: FORM 0 – Looking at symmetry \nMeeting with the audience moderated by artist and researcher Eleonora Marzani\, who will introduce the themes of symmetry and the mirror underlying the creative process of this work. \n\n  \nCREDITS \nConcept / Choreography: Riccardo Buscarini\nDance: Annalisa Perricone\, Giulia Quacqueri\nOriginal music by Alessandro Baldessari assisted by Luca Felici: “Nostalgia for Nothing” (A.Baldessari) and Sonata for Piano No. 3\, Op. 2 No. 3\, in C Major (L.
