The f<strong>ounding members are the Emilia-Romagna Region and the Municipality of Reggio Emilia<\/strong>. The Fondazione Nazionale della Danza develops its producing and touring activity under the name <strong>Aterballetto<\/strong>, the leading contemporary dance company in Italy and the first permanent ballet-producing organization apart from Opera House companies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Founded in 1977 as Compagnia di Balletto dei Teatri dell\u2019Emilia &#8211; Romagna<\/strong> and directed by Vittorio Biagi, <strong>since 1979<\/strong> the company has known as <strong>Aterballetto<\/strong> under the direction of Amedeo Amodio. Composed of soloist dancers capable of performing in every dance style, Aterballetto has gained wide recognition in Italy and on the international scene thanks to the high quality of its performers and artistic directors: <strong>Amedeo Amodio<\/strong> (1979-1997), <strong>Mauro Bigonzetti<\/strong> (1997-2007, until 2012, principal choreographer) and <strong>Cristina Bozzolini<\/strong> with <strong>Giovanni Ottolini<\/strong> (2008-2017).<\/p>\n<p>Many acclaimed Italian and international choreographers have worked with the company, including Mauro Bigonzetti, Michele Di Stefano, Andonis Foniadakis, William Forsythe, Johan Inger, Ji\u0159\u00ed Kyli\u00e1n, Cristiana Morganti, Ohad Naharin, Ji\u0159\u00ed Pokorny, Cristina Rizzo, Rihoko Sato, Hofesh Shechter, and Giuseppe Spota.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Fondazione Nazionale della Danza received recognition as Production Dance Centre in 2015<\/strong>, in this way enabling artist residencies, hospitalities, and performances by Italian and international companies. The significant dance projects its offers at regional and national level make it unique in Italy. The Fondazione organizes events, dance seasons, and a variety of projects that promote wider public interest and awareness of the world of dance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Since 2022 the Fondazione Nazionale della Danza \/ Aterballetto has been recognised by the Ministry of Culture as the first and only National Choreographic Centre in Italy.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #de4000;\">A few dates in our history. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #de4000;\">1977\/1978<\/span><\/strong> foundation of the Associazione Teatri Emilia Romagna Ballet Company, directed by Vittorio Biagi <span style=\"color: #de4000;\"><strong>1979<\/strong><\/span> name changed to Aterballetto <strong><span style=\"color: #de4000;\">1979\/1997<\/span> <\/strong>artistic director Amedeo Amodio <span style=\"color: #de4000;\"><strong>1991<\/strong> <\/span>Aterballetto became a Regional Dance Centre <strong><span style=\"color: #de4000;\">1997\/2007<\/span><\/strong> artistic director Mauro Bigonzetti <span style=\"color: #de4000;\"><strong>2003<\/strong><\/span> Fondazione Nazionale della Danza \/ Aterballetto established <strong><span style=\"color: #de4000;\">2004<\/span><\/strong> the former Fonderia Lombardini became the home of Fondazione Nazionale della Danza \/ Aterballetto <span style=\"color: #de4000;\"><strong>2008\/2017<\/strong> <\/span>artistic director Cristina Bozzolini and general manager Giovanni Ottolini<strong><span style=\"color: #de4000;\"> 2015<\/span><\/strong> ministerial appointment as Centre of Dance Production <span style=\"color: #de4000;\"><strong>2017<\/strong> <\/span>new development project under the direction of Gigi Cristoforetti <span style=\"color: #de4000;\"><strong>2022<\/strong> <\/span>became a National Choreographic Centre.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":1374,"menu_order":1,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"100-width.php","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-1378","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
