NOTTE MORRICONE
After Jiří Kylián, Ohad Naharin, Johan Inger, and the emerging talents Eyal Dadon, Diego Tortelli, and Norge Cedeño Raffo, CCN / Aterballetto looks to one of today’s most sought-after choreographers in 2024. Marcos Morau stands out for his visionary power, seamlessly blending diverse musical and artistic elements. He is a profound voice of contemporary dance and a native explorer of language hybridization, a concept resonant with millennials and their digital practices. Visionary imagination is integral to his creative process.
In the past year, he presented the extraordinary Nachtträume with the Zurich Ballet, a masterpiece seamlessly interweaving singing, music, acting, and dance within the same compositional thread. He also brought immense expressive strength to Belle au bois dormant with the Lyon Opera.
Now, in his first collaboration with CCN / Aterballetto, and supported by significant European and Italian production partners, he turns to the iconic music that has defined the cinematic landscape of the past 70 years: the work of Oscar-winning legend Ennio Morricone.
