Experience Dance Week. Discover the world of the CCN/Aterballetto.

From November 6 to 11, the Dance Week of the CCN/Aterballetto takes place in Reggio Emilia!

For one week, the spaces of La Fonderia in via della Costituzione 39 open to the public for a full immersion into the world of contemporary dance and the Centro Coreografico Nazionale / Aterballetto.

On this occasion, eight Aterballetto dancers share the heart of their artistic research with the audience of Reggio Emilia, while the rest of the company is on tour in South Africa, thanks to the collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Pretoria.

During Dance Week, the CCN/Aterballetto showcases its activities in their full scope, demonstrating how dance is not only a stage language but also a powerful tool for fostering participation and the sharing of ideas.

The programme includes performances, children’s projects, workshops, and open classes — an invitation to discover and experience dance up close, from new perspectives!

WELFARE

As part of the Reggio Emilia Città senza Barriere initiatives and the cultural welfare actions promoted in collaboration with the Comune di Reggio Emilia and Farmacie Comunali Riunite, the CCN/Aterballetto and the Fondazione I Teatri are launching a cultural welfare workshop dedicated exclusively to social workers and educators.

Led by artists Cristina Kristal Rizzo and Diana Anselmo, the workshop offers a journey where dance becomes a language of inclusion and discovery — a space where bodies, differences, and imagination meet to redefine the concepts of beauty, strength, and communication.

This initiative is complemented by performances within the Festival Aperto, open to everyone, which amplify the dialogue between art, vulnerability, and community — offering new perspectives and sensibilities to those who work daily in care and relational contexts, and beyond.
