Danza in Fonderia in February

The Danza in Fonderia – The Dynamics of Time series continues in February with four events that place the deep relationship between body, movement, and time at the centre: time as creative experience, as gesture, as internal and external movement, and as a process of learning and connection. In each of the month’s performances, dance becomes a tool to measure, transform, and narrate time in its many dimensions, inviting audiences to perceive moments, durations, and tensions through diverse and engaging choreographic languages.

All events take place at La Fonderia, Via della Costituzione 39 (Reggio Emilia). Tickets are available online at this link

Impromptus. Arias, dances and improvisations

A performance in which dance and music intertwine in an instant, fluid dialogue. Here, time is co-generated in the moment through the encounter between two dancers and the sound of the accordion, giving rise to short improvisations that explore the creative instant and its perceived duration.

Bow – open rehearsal

For the first time on the stage of Fonderia, the duo Gaetano Palermo and Michele Petrosino present an open rehearsal of their project BOW: a choreographic investigation into the act of bowing—a gesture that encapsulates social, cultural, and temporal tensions. Through repetition and variation, the gesture becomes a site of encyclopedic time, suspended between memory and presence.

Macbeth study – open rehearsal

An open rehearsal offering audiences the opportunity to step inside the heart of the creative process. This choreographic reading of Shakespeare’s masterpiece explores the rhythm of passions, choices, and consequences: an inner time shaped by emotional and physical tensions.

Made in Italy 37.0

The final event of the month offers an opportunity for exchange between young dancers and choreographer Roberto Tedesco within the framework of the Agora Coaching Project: a choreographic laboratory in which the time of training and embodied experience becomes choreographic material, shaping a dance in constant evolution.

Production: MM Contemporary Dance Company // Agora Coaching Project

These four events are part of Danza in Fonderia’s ongoing dialogue with the many dimensions of time—as rhythm, gesture, process, and connection—reaffirming Fonderia as a space for research and reflection.
