Eyal Dadon on OnTheatre

From Friday 17 December at 21.00 to Sunday 19 December at 24.00, the last episode of Prove in Corso, our series curated by Nicolas Ballario and directed by Fabrizio Spucches, will be broadcast on OnTheatre.tv.

The episode is dedicated to the Israeli choreographer Eyal Dadon, who will show us the work in progress of his new creation for the company.
Just like attending an open rehearsal, we will have the opportunity to see a preview of his piece YELED, which will debut on 27th April 2022 in Reggio Emilia, at the Teatro Municipale Romolo Valli.

YELED, the Hebrew word for “kid”, is the new creation by Eyal Dadon, who created both the choreography and the music.

Can we change ourselves as adults?
Can we be kids again? Can we clean our filters?
Can we let go of bad habits?
Can we be better?

In the process of creation, the dancers and I wondered when in our adult lives we had lost the feeling of being a kid, the feeling of being naturally pure, and the ability to have clean filters. When was the point when we lost our innocence and why? Maybe because of a simple sentence we heard, or because we saw something, or because of a bad dream…
One of the main keys of creation are the actual things we learned as kids, and how these things shaped us to be the people we are today.
