Aterballetto’s Tour in Spain

After its March performance in Bilbao, Aterballetto returns to Spain and pays tribute to Spanish creativity as well, dancing choreographies by Catalan choreographer Marcos Morau and Basque choreographer Iratxe Ansa.

The tour begins on Thursday, April 24, 2025, in the north, in the capital of Asturias, for the Festival de Danza in Oviedo. In the evocative setting of the Teatro Campoamor, Aterballetto performs Notte Morricone, the widely acclaimed tribute by Marcos Morau to the musical genius of Ennio Morricone.

From there, on Sunday, April 27, 2025, the music of Nuovo Cinema Paradiso and Once Upon a Time in the West will resonate in the hearts and ears of the audience at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville.

Rhapsody in blueSolo Echo and Glory Hall in Pamplona

From Moorish Andalusia, the tour moves north once again, bringing Aterballetto’s dance to the city of bullfighting. On Wednesday, April 30, 2025, the company takes the stage at the Museo Universidad de Navarra in Pamplona with the triple bill Rhapsody in Blue by Iratxe Ansa and Igor Bacovich, Solo Echo by Crystal Pite, and Glory Hall by Diego Tortelli: a true dance concert that begins with George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue and ends with the post-rock sounds of the band Godspeed You! Black Emperor, with the melancholic cello and piano sonatas of Johannes Brahms in between.

The Spanish tour is held in collaboration with the Direzione Generale per la diplomazia pubblica e culturale del MAECI and the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Madrid.
