The Italian tour of the CCN/Aterballetto in November

November is just around the corner, and the CCN/Aterballetto is ready to perform 23 shows in 8 Italian cities.

A month rich in stages and encounters — that’s November for the Centro Coreografico Nazionale / Aterballetto.

Alongside the tour in South Africa and the new edition of Visioni del Corpo. Maurizio Cattelan, curated by Nicolas Ballario, the company will perform its most recent repertoire works in Ferrara, Reggio Emilia, Trento, Bologna, Correggio, Lanciano, and Bolzano. With Stravaganze in sol minore, inspired by the nursery rhymes of Toti Scialoja, the company will meet children in Reggio Emilia and Prato.

The main highlights of this November include:

  • Dance Week, from November 6 to 11 at our home, La Fonderia — six days of performances dedicated to our city, Reggio Emilia;
  • the premieres of An Echo, A Wave by Philippe Kratz and a new MicroDanza by Antonella Bertoni during Dance Week;
  • participation in the ZED Festival in Bologna with two of our virtual reality creations.

Dal 6 al 11 novembre la Dance Week del CCN/Aterballetto a Reggio Emilia!

During Dance Week, on November 7–8–9 at 8:30 p.m., the world premiere of a new MicroDanza by choreographer Antonella Bertoni for the CCN/Aterballetto will be presented. The piece will immediately join the company’s rich repertoire of MicroDanze, in anticipation of a new 2026 edition dedicated to Italia Danza, a co-designed project between the CCN/Aterballetto and the Direzione Generale per la Diplomazia Culturale e Pubblica of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On the same evenings, Philippe Kratz’s An Echo, A Wave will also be presented in its theatrical form — a duet inspired by the hypnotic movement of the sea.

After its debut in Reggio Emilia, the duet will begin its tour, either as a standalone piece or as part of a mixed evening titled DREAMERS.

Finally, through the virtual work by Francesca Lattuada, È pericoloso non sporgersi…, the viewer is immersed in the emotions of a patient from the former psychiatric hospital of Reggio Emilia, transported inside a cell of the Lombroso Pavilion, now home to the Museum of the History of Psychiatry.
