OVER DANCE RETURNS TO MILAN: THE PROJECT’S FINAL STAGE IN STRATICO

To discover the calendar of events and learn more about the project, join the Open Day on Friday 11 September!

After a year of experiences devoted to the relationship between dance, body and longevity, Over Dance Milano returns with its final stage, which from September to November will inhabit the Stratico district. The programme gets under way with the Open Day on Friday 11 September at 10.30 am, at the Casa di Quartiere Stratico, Via Simone Stratico 5 in Milan: an opportunity to find out about the ISTANTANEE – Mappe viventi, scritture incarnate workshop, discover the practices that will accompany the sessions and sign up for the project. The workshop is aimed at people over 65 who wish to approach dance through a shared and engaging artistic experience. Led by dancers Tejaswini Loundo and Erika Di Mauro, with artistic tutoring by choreographer Lara Guidetti and choreographic assistance by Fabrizio Calanna, the sessions will run from 25 September to 20 November. The programme will conclude with a dress rehearsal on Monday 23 November and with the final performance and sharing on Tuesday 24 November, both at the Fondazione Giangiacomo Feltrinelli. The closing day will be a moment to share the outcomes of the programme and to reflect on the themes the project has explored.

ISTANTANEE – Mappe viventi, scritture incarnate

ISTANTANEE is the title of this contemporary dance workshop, which sets out to explore the body as a living territory to be traversed: a sensory geography made of images, sensations, and real and imagined stories. Through movement, the body becomes a tool for finding one’s way through the invisible, giving shape to what emerges and discovering inner landscapes still unexplored.

OVER DANCE MILANO

OVER DANCE MILANO is a project conceived by the Centro Coreografico Nazionale / Aterballetto and the Fondazione Ravasi Garzanti, funded by Fondazione Cariplo as part of the “Cultura Diffusa” call, with the participation of the Municipality of Milan and a network of neighbourhood community centres and cultural institutions. Created to explore the relationship between dance, body and longevity in contemporary society, the project sets itself up as an innovative model of cultural welfare, using dance as a tool for wellbeing, social inclusion and cultural participation. Through artistic workshops and public sharings, Over Dance Milano has built a programme spread between the city centre and its outskirts, involving the Zante, Aldini and Stratico neighbourhood community centres and three cultural institutions: Teatro Franco Parenti, BAM – Biblioteca degli Alberi Milano and Fondazione Giangiacomo Feltrinelli. The November 2026 stage concludes the research path launched by CCN/Aterballetto in 2022 on the relationship between the body’s transformation, perception and aesthetics, offering an opportunity for exchange and sharing on a central question of contemporary society.
