Don Juan on tour

After the great success in Ferrara, Aterballetto’s international tour finally starts.

Johan Inger’s Don Juan opens the artistic season of the Chaillot – Théâtre national de la Danse in Paris, an important centre in France and Europe, where we are guests from 14th to 17th October with 5 performances.

In addition to Don Juan, on Friday 16th October at the Galeries des Nabis of the Theatre we also present In/Finito, a site-specific dance and photography project for urban, natural or historical spaces, with eighteen blow-ups by Toni Thorimbert taken in Milan in 2019, on the occasion of Adriano Community Days – Festival del Quartiere Adriano.

The six dancers protagonists of In/Finito are Arianna Kob, Ina Lesnakowski, Ivana Mastroviti, Giulio Pighini, Sandra Salietti Aguilera and Serena Vinzio respectively in choreographies by Philippe Kratz, Saul Daniele Ardillo, Damiano Artale, Hektor Budlla, Diego Tortelli and Roberto Tedesco.

Diego Tortelli, who created the solo MAUDIT for Grace Lyell in 2018, has restaged the work for the new dancer Sandra Salietti Aguilera, naming it MAUDIT reloaded to music by Spiritualized. Here are some rehearsal moments:

At the premiere of Don Juan in Ferrara some French journalists were present, so when we arrived in Paris the French press welcomed us like this:

After the Parisian stage, Don Juan will be on the bill at the prestigious Festspielhaus in St. Poelten on Saturday 24 October, a very important music and dance festival and co-producer of the creation.

Next Italian stage will be the Teatro Metastasio in Prato, also co-producer of Don Juan, to inaugurate the dance season with 4 performances from 29 October to 1 November.
