Aterballetto at Chiostri

CANCELLATION OF PERFORMANCES 7 AND 8 JULY

Dear audience,
it is with great regret that we inform you that the Aterballetto performances scheduled for 7 and 8 July at the Chiostri di San Pietro are cancelled.

During the regular health checks on the artists, a positive case of Covid19 has emerged. Therefore, in accordance with health emergency protocols, the company is in quarantine.

Those who bought their tickets at the Fondazione I Teatri will be able to obtain a refund by going to the Ticket Office by 10 July, during the opening hours indicated at the end of the news.

On the other hand, those who purchased their tickets through Vivaticket will not have to go to the Ticket Office, but will receive an automatic refund by July 10th.

We would like to remind you that the Aterballetto performance scheduled for 14 July at the Chiostri di San Pietro is still on the bill.

In the framework of the Restate2021 programme, promoted by the Municipality of Reggio Emilia and the Fondazione Palazzo Magnani, Aterballetto dances in the evocative venue of the Chiostri di San Pietro.

ALPHA GRACE – ANOTHER STORY – SECUS

An evening of three choreographies. Between past and future Alpha Grace by Philippe Kratz: a reflection on empathy, a form of gentle communication between people. Another story by Diego Tortelli is a duet on the impossible gesture of the last year: the embrace. The programme closes with Secus, a creation by Ohad Naharin with an unusual musical style, combining electronic sounds and Indian melodies with the harmonies of the Beach Boys.

STABAT MATER

Wednesday 14 July h 21.30

Aterballetto presents a preview of excerpts from Stabat Mater, a new creation by Cuban choreographer Norge Cedeño Raffo based on the homonymous piece by Arvo Pärt. Starring 3 dancers from the company, 3 singers and 3 musicians from the Istituto Peri. During the evening there will be the screening of the docufilm produced by Rai5 that tells the artistic experience from the arrival of the choreographer in Reggio Emilia from Cuba to the staging at the Teatro Asioli in Correggio.

DANSITE AT ROCCHETTA MATTEI

On Friday, July 17, we will present our VR Corner at Rocchetta Mattei (Grizzana Morandi, Bologna). DANSITE is a project that promotes the artistic heritage of the Emilia-Romagna Region through dance and virtual reality.

A site-specific initiative from June 26 to 28, with CCN/Aterballetto leading a surprise journey through the famous spaces — and other secret and hidden ones — of the archaeological complex of the Baths of Caracalla, curated by Diego Tortelli. From June 30 to July 5, stage performances are scheduled on the Specchio d'Acqua (Water Mirror).
