AUDITION CALL FOR 2024/2025 SEASON
For over 40 years, Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto has been showcasing international choreographers, discovering young talents, experimenting across various fields, and fostering encounters with video, visual art, photography, live music, and theater. Since 2022, it is the first and only National Choreographic Center (CCN) in Italy.
Aterballetto company, comprised of 8 male and 8 female dancers, is renowned both internationally and nationally, presenting over 150 performances each season in Italy and abroad.
Its repertoire features works by internationally acclaimed choreographers such as Angelin Preljocaj, Johan Inger, Jiří Kylián, Ohad Naharin, Hofesh Shechter, Danièle Desnoyers, as well as emerging and eclectic artists like Diego Tortelli, Eyal Dadon, Norge Cedeño Raffo, and Philippe Kratz.
For its 2024/25 season, Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto is looking for 1 male dancer with the following requirements:
- solid classical technique
- high-skilled in contemporary dance
- a minimum of three years professional experience
The audition is only by invitation.
In order to apply to participate dancers should send by email auditions@aterballetto.it with the subject “Audition Season 2024/25”:
- a full CV including a headshot

On Saturday, November 4th, CCN/Aterballetto has two performances at the Teatro Municipale Valli in Reggio Emilia as part of the Festival Aperto.
DANCE FOR AN IDEAL CITY: THE DOCUFILM THAT TELLS THE MICRODANZE
"Dance for An Ideal City" is the docufilm that, starting from the "MicroDances" project, explores the possibility of depicting the contemporary city through dance. Conceived by Gigi Cristoforetti and directed by filmmaker Daniele Costa and art critic Nicolas Ballario, it is screened for the first time on October 29th in Modena, as part of the Cinedanza festival.
Fonderia hosts Paradiso by Gruppo Nanou, as part of the Festival Aperto .
From Tuesday, October 31st to Sunday, November 5th, the spaces of the Fonderia will host "Paradise," the choreographic installation curated by the Nanou Group as part of the Aperto Festival in Reggio Emilia
