MYSTERY SONATA is a “modular” performance, one that can be broken down and reassembled in relation to the spaces that host it. A performance with no true beginning or end, conceived in 2013 for the spaces of the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo.
At the heart of the work are the co-presence of multiple realities and spatial dimensions and their mutual influence, together with the theme of spiritual heritage and its echo, whether direct or indirect.
The choreographer thus reflects on the boundaries of our actions: where do they begin and end, and what remains of us in others? What is the true nature of things and, above all, what relationship exists between the two?

At Festival Xenos, CCN/Aterballetto explores the Santa Maria della Scala museum complex in Siena with the MicroDanze.

On Friday 13 November the Santa Maria della Scala museum complex, as part of Festival Xenos, hosts 4 MicroDanze: Eppur si muove by Francesca Lattuada, Terra Piccola by Antonella Bertoni, Soft P. by Diego Tortelli and An Echo, A Wave by Philippe Kratz.
MicroDanze stems from an intuition of Gigi Cristoforetti for CCN/Aterballetto: to break down the invisible barrier of the stage and turn dance into an intimate, almost confidential encounter.

UnterWasser’s “boxed” micro-performances arrive at the Fonderia
Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November at 3.00 pm and 7.30 pm
BOXES is a work of visual theatre and an installation made up of “boxes” that hold micro-performances and interactive games, to be experienced by one viewer at a time.
The audience is invited into an intimate, personal and dedicated experience. Looking through small slits and openings, viewers come into contact with small poetic worlds, gathered and protected inside the boxes.
BOXES is an open project, born from the reworking of Lambe Lambe theatre and from research into the effects and techniques of pre-cinema.

Play in Nicola Galli’s performance enlivens the season at the Fonderia.

POP is an event for children and families that places the body at the centre as a tool for exploring its expressive and communicative potential.
Through play, the interactive performance invites participants to experiment with different possibilities of movement and to take time to discover new perceptions, sensations and emotions connected to movement.
On a square platform covered in bubble wrap, the dancer bends and extends the joints, tracing figures and geometries. The audience is invited to interact with the material and with the performance space, sharing the pleasure of moving and exploring.

Cuor di Coniglio is a poetic modern fairy tale that explores fragility and the courage of self-acceptance. Vincent is a happy, imaginative child who, wounded by the cruel dragon of other people’s judgement, shuts himself away in his inner castle, losing touch with himself. With the help of Rosi, an eccentric and dancing rabbit, Vincent sets out on a symbolic and surreal journey in search of his lost heart. Through the language of physical theatre and clowning, the performance is an invitation to overcome the fear of judgement and to discover the beauty in fragility: a hymn to the freedom of being oneself, to look at the world from a new perspective and to show oneself, simply, for what one is.

Meet the coreographer! is an educational project curated by Annika Pannitto for children aged 7 and over. The workshop unfolds across a series of encounters with some of the choreographers who have marked the evolution of dance over the past sixty years and have proposed an expansion of its traditional meaning.
The title takes its cue from the expression Meet the Artist, which usually denotes the moment when the artist is invited to talk with the audience to share the process behind a performance. Although not live, the project makes it possible to meet the choreographers through their works, to begin a journey of learning and to discover how dance and choreography have evolved and questioned their own history, profoundly changing the use of the body and its relationship with movement.
The idea is to bring children closer not only to the individual works, but also to the context in which they were created, to the processes that made them possible, and to the exercises and studies that the artists developed to build their own path and through which they contributed to the evolution of the live arts. For the autumn season of Danza in Fonderia, the choreographer in focus will be William Forsythe.
