A STEP BEYOND
“Methodologies, languages and professionalism for the dance of tomorrow “Operation Ref. PA 2022-17937/RER, approved by the Emilia-Romagna Region by Resolution of the Regional Council no. 1951/2022 of 14/11/2022 and co-financed with ESF+ 2021-2027 and Emilia-Romagna Region resources
Project No. 3 – Edition No. 1

“Dancing Age. Ageing while dancing: techniques, styles and approaches for a new idea of longevity”.
Professional Area: Artistic and Performing Arts Production

The project trains a figure capable of supporting dance learning for people of mature age. It is a matter of acquiring a toolkit of techniques, strategies and good practices to enable every person, regardless of their age, to be able to perform artistic dance acts that allow inclusion, psycho-physical balance, well-being and the extension of active age. It is a matter of enhancing people’s aptitudes and potential, for paths of growth in their bodily, emotional and perceptive awareness. They will know how to work with groups of different sizes and types, how to create and present performances, how to give feedback and stimulate people.
At the end of the course, participants will be able to use the language of dance and creative movement with elderly or “no longer young” people and will have acquired tools and working models, guidelines and creative horizons to reconfigure the way of working with elderly people on stage in live performance, both for professional and amateur purposes.
