D&D DANCE PILLS: THE FOURTH EPISODE ABOUT ‘NOTTE MORRICONE’ BY MARCOS MORAU

The fourth episode of DANCE PILLS, the new series of video interviews produced by the editorial team of Danza&Danza magazine, is now online. The format features video segments dedicated to dance creation and opens with an initial focus on four “pills” centered around the work of our National Choreographic Center (CCN).

For the fourth episode, the D&D editorial team explores another choreographer called upon to create for the Aterballetto Company: the Valencian Marcos Morau. The new production, bearing his signature, will premiere on August 1st at the Sferisterio di Macerata. It is titled Notte Morricone and is built upon the music of the great Italian composer, Ennio Morricone, who won two Academy Awards.

Maria Luisa Buzzi writes: “The world of Ennio Morricone becomes body and vision. His music embodies that ‘abstract sense of what is not said and not seen in the films.’ Although it’s almost impossible to separate his music from the images that accompany it, Morricone transcends and intertwines with life itself, with memories, and with the beauty and cruelty of a world that continues to progress, destroying and rebuilding itself every day.”
