Aterballetto dances in Germany and Switzerland

For Aterballetto, May takes on the colors of Germany. From May 9 to 25, 2025, the company embarks on an extensive tour through the heart of Europe—across northern plains, elegant cities, alpine landscapes, and lakefronts.

Rhapsody in blue, Solo Echo and Glory Hall in Oldenburg

Oldenburg, in northwestern Germany, is the first city to welcome Aterballetto’s dance. On May 9 and 11, the company brings to the stage of the Oldenburgisches Staatstheater the triple bill Rhapsody in Blue by Iratxe Ansa and Igor Bacovich, Solo Echo by Crystal Pite, and Glory Hall.

Notte Morricone in Wiesbaden, Baden (CH), Friedrichshafen and Recklinghausen

The tour continues and concludes with Notte Morricone by Marcos Morau.

On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, Aterballetto performs as part of the prestigious Maifestspiele in Wiesbaden, a refined spa town just a few kilometers from Frankfurt. The company then takes the stage at the Kurtheater in Baden, Switzerland—near Zurich—on Saturday, May 17.

From there, the company travels to the German shores of Lake Constance on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, for the Bodenseefestival in Friedrichshafen, a city famous for the Zeppelin airships.

The tour concludes with performances on Saturday, May 24, and Sunday, May 25, 2025, in Recklinghausen for the Ruhrfestspiele — one of the oldest and most prestigious theatre festivals in Germany.

The performances in Wiesbaden (May 14) and Recklinghausen (May 24–25) are held in collaboration with the Direzione Generale per la diplomazia pubblica e culturale del Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale (MAECI) and the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Köln.
