We dance at home

We of Aterballetto want to dedicate this video to all the dancers and artists who are at home these days and not on stage.
We’re fine. And we hope you are too. Now we are all staying home to dance again in our theatres.

With this sentence the dancers of Aterballetto invite us into their homes during this quarantine period.
Even if locked in their homes, the creativity of the 16 performers of the company doesn’t stop. Indeed, they keep on getting fit and giving the audience a few minutes of their dance. That’s why the title of the video is #wedanceathome.

With the video #wedanceathome the Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto not only wants to inform that the dancers are well, but also wants to encourage dancers from other countries, which compared to Italy have recently been in quarantine, not to lose heart and dance in their homes.
And so the opportunity was taken with this video to create a network between different companies.

In the Facebook and Instagram post that will accompany the video will be tagged some companies such as the Basel Ballet directed by Richard Wherlock, the MiR Dance Company Gelsenkirchen directed by Giuseppe Spota, choreographer of our Tempesta, the Gärtnerplatz-Theater company directed by Karl Alfred Schreiner, the Nuovo Balletto di Toscana directed by Cristina Bozzolini, our former director, asking them how they are doing.
These companies will respond in turn with a video made by their dancers, greeting us and tagging other companies they have relationships with and so on.

A small way to try not to stop, stimulate creativity, entertain the audience and create stronger relationships.
